Amy Winehouse Found Dead This Morning Posted: 23 Jul 2011 12:15 PM PDT Amy Winehouse was trying to get her life back on track after numerous rehab stints, and getting ready to get to work on her upcoming tour. Unfortunately, she didn’t make the recovery that she had expected. The young singer’s life was cut short. She was found dead in her apartment in the U.K. earlier today. She was 27 years old. The Metropolitan Police released a statement, which did not specifically name Winehouse, saying: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.” Amy’s battle with addiction to drugs and alcohol was always the center of attention and she was famously in and out of rehab several times throughout the years. Sadly for Amy, she lost her battle. She will always be remembered.
