| Joe Jonas Blasted With Balls At Concert! Posted: 12 Jul 2011 03:43 AM PDT Former boybander Joe Jonas wants to separate himself from his Jonas Brothers persona and venture out on his own musically. During a performance last Wednesday night in Williamsburg NY, he attempted to do just that… unfortunately, things didn’t quite go the way he had hoped.
Promoting his upcoming solo album ‘Fast Life‘ as the opening act for Swizz Beatz, the singer didn’t warm up the crowd at House of Vans. The evening was sponsored by beer makers Corona, who gave out mini basketballs to the crowd as part of promotions for their product. Interestingly, those same basketballs made their way up on the stage during Jonas’ performance. The club-goers were so unimpressed with his performance, that they pelted him with the mini green balls. Only a small front row group of screaming girls were there to cheer on their favorite Jonas Bro. Gotta give Joe props though… the incident didn’t hinder his performance in the slightest. Much to the chagrin of the folks in the crowd. Wow, why did I have to miss that? I would have given my first born to witness that. LOL. |
| Demi Lovato’s ‘Skyscraper’ – First Listen! (Audio) Posted: 12 Jul 2011 03:19 AM PDT Former Disney actress/singer Demi Lovato has had quite the tumultuous year, but it seems that she has come out the other side completely in tact. Good for her. Her upcoming single Skyscraper has been leaked early, and despite my utter disbelief, I’m quickly becoming a fan of the song.
When listening to the song, you can hear the intense emotion in her tone, which is my number one reason for liking certain songs over others. I guess she took all the strife she’s been dealing with and concentrated everything into this single. Quite effective. Even if you’re not a fan of Demi’s, I urge you to give it a fair listen. | Sissy Spacek Talks Lindsay Lohan & ‘Carrie’ Remake Posted: 11 Jul 2011 02:32 PM PDT Reports are going around that Lindsay Lohan may be up for the lead role in the update of the Stephen King film 'Carrie.' But what does the original Carrie, Sissy Spacek, think of her replacement?
“I read about it and I was very flattered because they ran a picture of me and of Lindsay Lohan,” says Spacek. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s really a beautiful girl’ and so I was very flattered. I was also flattered that they were casting someone to look like me instead of the real Carrie described in the book. It’s gonna be real interesting.” Apparently, Lindsay is ecstatic at the prospect of playing the bullied teen with telekinetic powers. Unfortunately for Lohan, there are also rumors that "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld, who is 15, may also be up for the role. Sorry Steinfeld but your boring, I want to see Lindsay drenched in pigs blood and destroying a high school prom. |
| ‘Celebrity Rehab’ To Go On Hiatus Posted: 11 Jul 2011 12:29 PM PDT
The fifth season is currently showcasing D-list celebs Michael Lohan, Bai Ling, Amy Fisher and more. An insider close to the show says, “The decision was made to put the show on hiatus because Dr. Drew Pinsky is just too busy to continue to do the show.” Dr. Drew is currently doing his nightly HLN show the Dr. Drew Show and this fall he will be involved in a new show called Life Changers. “The amount of time Dr. Drew has to commit to treating celebrities on the show is a tremendous amount of time,” the source adds. Apparently, the reality TV doctor would “absolutely love to revisit doing the show again in the future when he has the time. Dr. Drew really enjoyed doing the show, even though it could be very emotionally grueling at times.” Maybe Dr. Drew really is just busy or maybe the show has just run out of D-list celebrities willing to let cameras film them shooting up… yeah right. |
| James Franco Opens Up About ‘Oscars’ Bomb Posted: 11 Jul 2011 11:30 AM PDT In an interview with Playboy magazine, James Franco has finally opened up about the Oscars and why he believes it did not go well. “It’s hard to talk about because it’s like assigning blame, not a fun thing to do," said the actor. "For three or four weeks we shot the promos and the little film that played in the opening. I said to the producer, ‘I don’t know why you hired me, because you haven’t given me anything. I just don’t think this stuff’s going to be good.’”
Franco was apparently not fond of the idea of dressing up like Marilyn Monroe saying, “I was so pissed about that I was deliberately going to fall onstage and hopefully my dress would fall off or something — they couldn’t blame that on me; I was in high heels.” “I just didn’t want to fight anymore, even when they said, ‘You’ll come out as Marilyn Monroe. It’ll be funny.’ Me in drag is not funny,” argued Franco. The millions of those watching at home seemed to have felt the same way. Franco continues that although his performance came off as unenthusiastic that was not his intention saying, "I thought, ‘Okay Anne is going the enthusiastic route. I’ve been trained as an actor to respond to circumstances, to the people I’m working with, and not force anything.’ So I thought I would be the straight man and she could be the other, and that’s how I was trying to do those lines." The actor knew that the night would be a flop adding, "I felt kind of trapped in that material. I felt, This is not my boat. I’m just a passenger, but I’m going down and there’s no way out.” James Franco and Anne Hathaway have moved on with their careers and to be honest who really remembers these ceremonies anyways? Give it a few years and no one will even remember they hosted. |

| Victoria Becham Names Baby Girl, Harper Seven Posted: 11 Jul 2011 09:12 AM PDT David Beckham and Victoria welcomed a baby girl Sunday morning. Harper Seven was born at 7:55 a.m. this morning at Cedars-Sinai, weighing in at 7 lbs., 10 oz.  How did Harper Seven get her name? Harper is an old English name that Victoria has always loved, and seven is considered a very lucky spiritual number. “Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family,” says Beckham spokesperson Jo Milloy. The happy couple announced they were expecting their first girl back in March. “We’re still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon,” David said at the time. “Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well.” Just Friday, David posted a a gorgeous photo of the expectant mom. |
| Marine Asks Mila Kunis On A Date (Video) Posted: 11 Jul 2011 08:41 AM PDT Sgt. Scott Moore, a marine stationed in Afghanistan, wants to take Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps. Ball with him on November 18th in Greenville, North Carolina. The marine took to YouTube to make his plea.  "Hi Mila, I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps. Ball with yours truly," the uniformed sergeant said from location in Afghanistan. "So take a second to think about it and get back to me. All right, bye now." During an interview with Fox411 for that remake of No Strings Attached called Friends with Benefits, Justin Timberlake asked Mila about Sgt. Scott’s invitation:

| Tom Hanks Pranks Julia Roberts (Video) Posted: 11 Jul 2011 06:55 AM PDT Tom Hanks is pulling pranks. Hanks had everyone on the set of ‘Larry Crowne‘ pretend they had caught Julia Roberts‘ knitting bug, supplying them with needles and skeins of yarn.  He then called on everyone to gather the next morning before Roberts showed up for work and take a quick lesson in knitting. Grips, lighting men, extras and runners would all look like they knew what they were doing when his leading lady arrived. The prank worked, with Roberts squealing. Hanks and Roberts last appeared together in 2007 film “Charlie Wilson’s War” and now Julia Roberts has teamed up with Tom Hanks again in his directorial venture “Larry Crowne”, and she is all praise for his multi-tasking abilities. source: video |

| Kate Hudson Gives Birth (Details) Posted: 11 Jul 2011 05:18 AM PDT Kate Hudson and Muse frontman fiance Matthew Bellamy have welcomed their first child… a boy! The baby, whose name has not yet been released, was born in Los Angeles.  The new addition joins big brother, Ryder, 7, whose dad is Hudson’s ex-husband Chris Robinson. Hudson, who announced her engagement to Bellamy in April, recently celebrated her expanding family at a baby shower in June. Hudson had revealed that she was not going to find out the sex of her new baby before the birth, adding she used a “pendulum test” to predict that she’d have a baby girl. Do people really rely on those things? |
