| Ashton Kutcher and Village Voice Twitter War Posted: 01 Jul 2011 11:03 AM PDT Ashton Kutcher and the Village Voice are battling it out in 140 characters or less. It all began when the Village Voice published a cover story slamming the child trafficking statistics used by Kutcher and Demi Moore‘s DNA Foundation.  In an April appearance on CNN’s Piers Morgan, Kutcher reiterated the University of Pennsylvania’s finding that there are “between 100,000 and 300,000 child sex slaves in the United States today.” But the Village Voice, “spent two months researching law enforcement data” and came to the conclusion that these numbers were vastly inflated and labeled them “propaganda.” In their article titled, “Real Men Get Their Facts Straight,” the newspaper mocks the DNA Foundation’s “Real Men Don’t Buy Girls” campaign and claims the number of child sex slaves reported is based on a study with “no scientific credibility.” Kutcher was none too pleased at the Village Voice “belittling” his efforts. “How’s the lawsuit from the 15-year-old victim who alleges you helped enslave them going?” he tweeted Thursday, referring to a 2010 lawsuit against Village Voice Media filed by an underage commercial sex industry survivor. Ashton Kutcher is even taking it one step further, and spreading the hate. “Hey @AmericanAir are you aware that you are advertising on a site that supports the Sale of Human Beings (slavery)?” tweeted Kutcher. |

The commercial uses everyone’s least favorite teen sensation to illustrate how Chrome allows people to communicate with each other and potentially rise to international super-stardom.  The effectiveness of the ad depends on how you feel about Bieber. For example, Shia LaBeouf thinks “he’s the bomb!” Chrome also made one with Lady Gaga, who doesn’t inspire quite so much hate from the public. |

| Beyonce Performs At Target Store In Harlem (Video) Posted: 01 Jul 2011 09:09 AM PDT Beyonce surprised a group of children this week when she made a surprise appearance at a Target store in Harlem. She even gave an impromptu performance!  According to CBS New York, over 150 kids from various youth groups gathered at the store to learn some of Beyonce’s signature dance moves with help from her backup dancers. A group of kids was on stage performing a routine to B’s ‘Countdown’ when the singer herself appeared to join in on the fun. Kids expressed their excitement afterward. 15-year-old Symone Huggins said as quoted by CBS New York, “It was amazing. I didn’t even know she was behind me. I turned and was like ‘oh my God!’” That was really cool of you, B. |

It was the shoes… NOT the booze!  Linds posted the following message, along with the photo above: “Of course me going to my best friends going away dinner is a headline- especially on my first day out of my house in 35 days,” she tweets. “That does not give anyone the right to have a field day and manifest stories. IT WAS A GOING AWAY DINNER, THAT WAS IT. Nothing exciting happened aside from the very yummy hummus and pita. | Emma Watson Becomes A Work Of Art (Photo) Posted: 01 Jul 2011 08:10 AM PDT Emma Watson has already graced the silver screen, but now the 'Harry Potter' star has taken over the art world. Figurative artist Mark Demsteader has chosen Watson to be the star of his current exhibition, reports the Daily Mail. The exhibit is called ‘Emma’ and it is located at Panter and Hall, a London contemporary art gallery.
The actress met Demsteader on a trip home to Oxford when she decided to buy a drawing for herself for her 21st birthday this April. The pieces are being exhibited and sold for prices ranging from £3,000 to £8,000. “I am thrilled with how they have come out; they are beautiful. Mark is so talented – I wish I had a fraction of his skill!’ Emma told Vogue. It has been a wonderful privilege to work with Emma on these images,” said the artist. Ten percent of the profits from the exhibit are going to CAMFED International, a charity which supports young women in Africa.    The pieces are beautiful, but I still don’t like her haircut. | Kate Moss Getting Married Today Posted: 01 Jul 2011 08:06 AM PDT After months and months of date-changes, fake details, and other trickery to keep the wedding day a secret, Kate Moss and Jamie Hince are getting married today. The couple and their friends are currently at Moss' estate in Cotswold, England. Last night at the estate was the rehearsal dinner for the wedding.
Rumor has it that there will be semi-nude male-models with tattooed portraits of the couple in attendance. Clearly, they went the traditional route. Sources close to the bride say the wedding dress is by John Galliano who is expected to attend the wedding as well. The groom will be decked out, along with his band mate Alison Mosshart, in Yves Saint Laurent. Congrats you two! |

Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Canada on Thursday for the first day of their first royal tour and were met by crowds of Canadian dignitaries, uniformed personnel, Royal Mounties and cheering, flag-waving citizens, plus a crowd of reporters. Will and Kate touched down in a Canadian military jet at Ottawa’s international airport about 2 p.m. ET after a flight from London. It was the start of the most anticipated royal visit in decades. The pair will continue on to Hollywood on Friday, July 8th and spend 3 days making their way from charity event to charity event. This is Kate’s first trip to the USA and William’s first in an official capacity. What was she wearing? Not what she had on when she boarded the plane at Heathrow. However, both outfits did match her wedding ring. |

TMZ reports that she made her money from doing a number of paid gigs like MMA fights, 'Celebridate,' a cable show in Chicago, bikini photo shoots, a celebrity boxing match and many paid interviews! And she reportedly has quite a few gigs coming her way in the future, including another stint in celebrity boxing and a possible instructional workout video. Good luck Nadya, you’re going to need it. |
| ‘Famous Food’ TV Show Sneak Peek (Video) Posted: 01 Jul 2011 06:06 AM PDT Here’s the first look at Heidi Montag in ‘Famous Food‘. On the new VH1 series, Montag is joined by former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub, Ashley Dupré (aka Eliot Spitzer’s ex-call girl), The Sopranos’ Vincent Pastore, Three 6 Mafia and former Bachelor Pavelka and they must launch an eatery from scratch in just 28 days.  In order to win the competition, they’ll have to collaborate on everything from menus to seating, but also find a way to stand out. There are several culinary catastrophes along the way, including a failed fire inspection, broken refrigerators and a drained budget. Unless Staub flips a table onto Montag’s big egotistical head, I’m not interested. Will you watch? Famous Food premieres Sunday, July 10th at 10/9c on VH1. |
