| MTV Video Music Awards – 2011 Nominations (Full List) Posted: 20 Jul 2011 10:36 PM PDT MTV presented a live 2011 MTV Video Music Awards nominations announcement special, unveiling the roster of artists who will be vying for an award at the August 28th show. Katy Perry won a leading nine nominations, compared to eccentric superstar Lady Gaga, who had just three nods.  Kanye West was the top male nominee, with seven nods for his futuristic “E.T” collaboration with Perry as well as his own music videos for “All of the Lights” and “Power”. | Miley Cyrus Invited To Marine Corps Ball (Video) Posted: 20 Jul 2011 09:43 PM PDT Miley Cyrus is the latest star to get an invitation to the 2011 Marine Corps Ball, via a YouTube plea from a Private First Class Hart, who wants to take the "Party in the USA" singer to the soiree at Camp Pendleton in California. Mila Kunis was the first celebrity to be invited to the 2011 Marine Corps Ball, then Justin Timberlake followed by Betty White. (she denied the marine, enter Linda Hamilton)  "An amazing tradition has just begun," Hart says in his video invite. "Marines asking celebrities out to the Marine Corps Ball on Nov. 12, 2011. I, PFC Hart, would like to date, a proud American, Miley Cyrus out to the Marine Corps Ball in beautiful southern California…Please, Miley Cyrus. This one's for you, girl." Lindsay was photographed spending some quality time with Spencer Falls, half of the celebrity spoof couple “Sparah” in the new Virgin Mobile commercials.  Does Sarah know about this?! The couple were spotted leaving Lindsay’s home in Venice Beach, Calif., before heading out for an intimate dinner at the Chateau Marmont. Lindsay does have her routines, doesn’t she? “She and Spencer were talking closely, drinking and laughing,” said a source. “Lindsay seemed totally smitten with him and just really happy.” Lindsay’s denied the hookup, saying they had a photo shoot for Tyler Shields and merely got food beforehand. Britney Spears' former bodyguard is suing the pop star alleging sexual harassment and is now claiming the star used a multitude of drugs and exhibited horrible hygiene. The ex-bodyguard, Fernando Flores, worked for Spears from February until July 2010 and claims that throughout his employment “Spears made repeated unwanted sexual advances… summoning (him) to her room at her residence for no other purpose or reason than to expose her naked or near naked body.” Flores alleges Britney broke wind and picked her nose "unapologetically," she did not shower for days, brush her teeth or wear deodorant. He is also claiming that Spears used various drugs including methamphetamines, Ritalin and Narcon. According to the suit, “Defendant Spears was mentally unstable, and personally obnoxious and demanding, requiring her staff on various occasions and for no rationally discernable reasons to address her as “Jennifer” or “Queen Bee,” on other occasions, Defendant Spears would cut her hair in an erratic fashion, leaving uneven and bald spots on her head.” Flores says he suffered psychological damage, anxiety attacks, and depression as a result of Spears' alleged harassment. Britney's people are denying that any of the accusations are true. Sources close to Spears have come out with the simple statement, "He's a liar." All I can say is Ew. |
| ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ First Teaser (Video) Posted: 20 Jul 2011 12:04 PM PDT So I totally stand corrected. When I first heard that they were doing a remake of Spider-Man, I assumed it would suck just as badly as most remakes do. But the brand new teaser that was released today, actually makes the film look watchable. I won’t say more cuz, heck, you never know… right?
Replacing Toby Maguire in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man is British actor Andrew Garfield, who also starred in last year’s The Social Network. And there is no annoying Mary-Jane in the form of Kirsten Dunst either.. thankfully! Rounding out the cast are Denis Leary, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. Wow. | Chris Brown Gets Cast In Romantic Comedy Posted: 20 Jul 2011 08:43 AM PDT So I think it’s time we all got together and rewarded douchebaggery, don’t you? Hot tempered singer Chris Brown is getting a reward for it, in the form of a role in the upcoming feature film ‘Think Like A Man‘. Omg! Seriously?
The film is based on a non-fiction novel written by comedian Steve Harvey entitled ‘Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man‘. No word on the size of the role, only that he’s been cast. The book was published in 2009 to teach women “what men really think about love, relationships, intimacy and commitment.” Hmm…. here’s hoping that Chris’ character isn’t meant to ‘teach women’ about anything… Harvey intended the book to empower woman about how to better deal with the men in their lives. (Like call the cops and charge his sorry arse.) Brown was arrested and charged back in February 2009 on charges of domestic violence for felony abuse on former girlfriend, singer Rihanna. |
| Kim Kardashian Is Suing Old Navy (Video) Posted: 20 Jul 2011 08:29 AM PDT So Kim Kardashian has decided that she needs more publicity, cuz what’s she’s getting from her upcoming nuptials doesn’t seem to be enough for her. The celebutante du jour has set her sights on clothing company chain Old Navy, and is suing them for using a look-alike in their TV ad campaigns.

Oh please. What’s the matter Kim, don’t you get enough of an allowance from your Momager? And why the sudden interest in suing Old Navy now? The ad has been on TV for MONTHS now… did she finally decide to turn on a television? What a git. OR is she jealous cuz look-alike Melissa Molinaro is better looking than her? Ugh! |
| Marc Anthony And Jennifer Lopez Split Over Jealousy And Control Issues Posted: 20 Jul 2011 08:10 AM PDT Who would have figured that seemingly mild mannered Marc Anthony would be such a jealous freak? Well, that’s what the folks over at People Magazine are alleging. Their claim is that the marriage crumbled due to jealousy, infidelity, and Marc trying to control all aspects of his wife’s life. Lame.
When the pair announced their split a mere 5 days ago, it was with the statement that they had “come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.” But is that really the case here? An apparent source close to the couple who spoke with People claim that their divorce decision came “after months of nonstop arguing”. Anthony is said to have been jealous of his wife’s career with regards to American Idol, and there has even been rumors that the Latino crooner had been unfaithful to the stunning Ms. Lopez. He’s even said to have tried to control what his sexy better half wore. Yes, he wanted final say on his wife’s wardrobe. Insanity! |

Ray Lewis, after he was turned down by Betty White. The Hollywood legend and former Mrs. James Cameron made a video invitation and posted it on youtube, begging Ray to take her instead!
Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake and Betty White were all invited to the ball, and Linda wants to get in on the action! In her defense, it’s not a ‘desperate’ attempt. Having met her I can tell you that she is genuinely sweet, sincere, and hilarious as all hell. Go on Ray, give her a chance! You’ll have a blast at the ball. Besides, if any cybernetic entities try to run amok, she’ll kick their asses all the way back to the future from whence they came! |
