Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez shared the stage at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards.

Bieber wasn’t promoted as one of the evening’s celebrity guests, but the 17-year-old singer seemingly couldn’t resist coming out to support his girlfriend Selena Gomez.

“I want to say thank you so much to all my fans, you guys are amazing,” Bieber said as he accepted his first award of the evening, international video by a Canadian, which he shared with Toronto rapper Drake.

“I love you Toronto.”

Selena did double duty as co-host and performer, 10 days after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for being malnourished.

Weird Al Yankovic’s ‘Perform This Way’ Sneak Peek (Video)

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 08:15 AM PDT

Weird Al Yankovic has reigned as pop's king of parody.

Now he's returned with his spoof at Lady Gaga, with the tune "Perform This Way," the lead single from his new album, "Alpocalypse," set to be released on Tuesday.

Even before the single was released, the “Born This Way” spoof attracted an unusual amount of attention.

Yankovic released the single via YouTube last month, claiming that Lady Gaga forced him to record the song in its final form before she would decide whether to grant her blessing, and then apparently refused to allow the parody to be included on his next album.

By the end of the day, however, Gaga announced that the debacle had been a misunderstanding, and allowed Yankovic to officially release the song on his next album.

I’m a bit disappointed in the costumes — I was expecting more.

Kanye West Threatens Legal Action Over ‘Mama’s Boy’ Leak

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 07:31 AM PDT

While fans may be excited over the leak of Kanye West‘s ‘Mama’s Boy‘ track, he’s none too happy about it and is threatening to sue.

Island Def Jam released a statement saying a version of the song that turned up online is not approved by West; someone obtained a vocal track and made the version that appeared online. “Needless to say, measures are being taken to identify and prosecute the persons responsible for leaking this material.”

“The version of the Kanye West recording ‘Mama’s Boy’ that arrived on blog sites earlier this week is entirely bogus and unsanctioned, and violates the artist’s creative intentions. As is often the unfortunate case, an unknown party or parties got a hold of Kanye West’s vocal track and added their own soundbed to it, effectively and falsely releasing it as a Kanye West track from the ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ sessions. The result in no way resembles the final song Kanye West intended his fans to hear, and he is deeply disappointed that one of the most personal, meaningful and special songs he has ever written would reach people in this way.”

Given the personal subject matter, it's no surprise the rapper-producer is so upset.

The track is obviously, not Kanye-worthy. Yet, it fooled almost everyone.

Lance Bass’ Boy-Band Reality Contest Show

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 05:47 AM PDT

Lance Bass just sold six reality shows, including one to VH1.

The former *NSync member is putting together a reality show with Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean, New Edition frontman Bobby Brown and New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre to form the country’s hottest new boy band.

Bass revealed to Vulture, “It’s a really great music show, starring all your favorite boy bands. It’s going to be really fun.”

“I got a member from Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean. A member from *NSYNC, Joey Fatone. A member from New Kids on the Block, Joe McIntyre. And a member from New Edition, Bobby Brown. They’re all going to form a boy band, each, from the most talented guys in America that I’ve scouted, and then they’ll go head-to-head in a competition to see who the best band is, so it’s bragging rights for the guy in the group, for sure.”

Well, almost. Bass admits that Brown hasn’t officially signed on yet. “I think Bobby will do it,” Bass says. “I think he’d love it.”

So… it’s sort of The Voice, but with a boy band twist.

Will you watch?

Clarence Clemons Has Died

Posted: 19 Jun 2011 04:31 AM PDT

Clarence Clemons, the E Street Band saxophonist who played alongside Bruce Springsteen for the past 40 years, died on June 18th.

While initial signs had been hopeful after his hospitalization, he reportedly took a turn for the worse later in the week.

Clemons recently underwent two brain surgeries after suffering a “serious stroke” on June 12th.

Springsteen released a statement on his website following his friend’s death:

“Clarence lived a wonderful life. He carried within him a love of people that made them love him. He created a wondrous and extended family. He loved the saxophone, loved our fans and gave everything he had every night he stepped on stage. His loss is immeasurable and we are honored and thankful to have known him and had the opportunity to stand beside him for nearly forty years. He was my great friend, my partner, and with Clarence at my side, my band and I were able to tell a story far deeper than those simply contained in our music. His life, his memory, and his love will live on in that story and in our band.”

Clarence Clemons recently blew his horn for Lady Gaga, in her just released video for ‘The Edge of Glory‘.

We will miss you Clarence!
