| ‘Tron: Legacy’ Sequel Gets A Screenwriter Posted: 08 Jun 2011 04:37 AM PDT Disney Pictures has hired on writer David DiGilio to pen the script for an upcoming Tron: Legacy sequel. The project itself has not been 100% greenlit, and response to an animated show titled Tron Uprising, which will air next year on the Disney XD channel, will be the deciding factor.
The reason for the uncertain sequel is the luke-warm response that the film had in theaters. It grossed over $400 million in the box-office, however with it’s production costs being so high (nearly half their gross intake), it was only a marginal hit. It was enough however, to show that there was in fact interest in the storyline. So the plausible sequel talks hit the table. From The Hollywood Reporter;

| Blake Lively Takes All Her Men To Disneyland (Video) Posted: 08 Jun 2011 04:08 AM PDT Following her appearance at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively took rumored boyfriend Leo Dicaprio on a date to Disneyland! Although totally cute, it was not Blake’s first time at the ‘Happiest Place On Earth’. She takes all her men on dates there!
Last year her and Canadian actor Ryan Gosling (The Notebook) took a romantic trip down Main Street USA, where they were spotted by fans even though Blake was disguised in a hat. The pair were outed by fans at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor at Disney, and signed autographs and posed for pictures, although they refused to pose together. Most likely in a bid to avoid romance rumors. Lively’s love of all things Disney started when she was a little girl. She sneaked into the theme park when she was about 5 years old and ended up doing time in ‘Disney Jail‘. To be quite honest, I’m surprised she fessed up to her ‘criminal’ past… she still hasn’t come clean about the naked photos she took of herself that surfaced last week… Oh well, maybe in a few years when she goes back to being irrelevant. Then she’ll need the publicity, so the truth will come out. And I don’t give a crap what anyone else says, even her PR people and lawyers… that was TOTALLY Blake Lively in those photos! |
| Emma Watson Wants To Be Pursued Posted: 08 Jun 2011 03:32 AM PDT Harry Potter has brought enormous fame to the lovely Emma Watson, but what it hasn’t brought is any romance to her life. The young starlet recently fessed up to the real reasons she left Brown University, and it had absolutely nothing to do with bullying.
Emma thought she could hide from herself and lead a normal life, that’s why she entered into school. But although she enjoyed her time there, she could no longer hide who she was or how famous she had become. “I was in denial,” she explained. “I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I’m in and what happened.” “I’ve never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook,” she said. “Anyway, even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn’t going to wuss out of university because someone said ‘Wingardium leviosa’ to me in a corridor, or ‘Ten points for Gryffindor.’ I’ve been dealing with the media since I was nine. If I can’t stand up to a few people giving me a hard time, it’s a bit pathetic, really. I’ve had so much worse.” So that explains her leaving school, but what about the romance thing…? “I say to my friends, ‘Why hasn’t X called me? Why doesn’t anyone ever pursue me?’ They’re like, ‘Probably because they’re intimidated.’ It must be the fame wall,” she said. “It must be the circus that goes around me. Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating.” Nonsense. You seem like a darling little lady to us Emma. I’m sure you’ll have boys lining up to take you out, probably more than you can stand. But let’s hope they’re not a-holes! |
| Katy Perry’s Geeky Teen Alter Ego Joins Twitter, Facebook Posted: 07 Jun 2011 11:37 PM PDT Pop stars often take on different personas in their music videos, but Katy Perry has taken it one step further, unveiling a dorky new alter ego “Kathy Beth Terry.” Why you gotta make fun of people, Katy?  Perry has even gone as far as to create a Facebook and Twitter page for the character. Katy Perry isn’t the first celebrity to adopt an alter ego. Beyonce taunted fans for months, before admitting she was also known as Sasha Fierce. Mariah Carey played both the parts, by producing a video with her alter ego, Bianca Diva, and going all KILL BILL on her. |
| Coldplay Steals Their New Sound From 90′s Band (Video) Posted: 07 Jun 2011 10:10 PM PDT It seems Coldplay‘s new sound isn’t so new after all. In fact, it appears to have been inspired by some random band from the 90′s. Coldplay’s song, “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall“, sounds exactly like The Sacados’, “Ritmo de la noche”.  Even though most people don’t know The Sacados’ music, I’m sure they’d appreciate at least a little recognition for the song. | Willie Nelson Strikes Deal In Marijauna Case Posted: 07 Jun 2011 05:19 PM PDT Willie Nelson has just agreed to plead no contest to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The charge comes from an incident last year, when cops say they found marijuana on Nelson’s tour bus at a border checkpoint.
The country singer was originally charged with possession of marijuana, but Nelson worked out a deal with prosecutors to reduce the charge. The deal is that Willie will pay a $500 fine and if he can stay out of trouble for 30 days, the case will be completely dismissed. I think Willie got off easy, don’t you? I wonder how he’ll celebrate… |
| Beyonce’s ‘Countdown’ Leaks! (Listen Here) Posted: 07 Jun 2011 04:22 PM PDT So I’m thinking that someone in Beyonce‘s camp is either seriously slacking off, or intentionally posting songs from the upcoming album entitled 4. The song Countdown is the second song to leak today, and apparently the whole album has already leaked… (I’m looking!)
Earlier this morning, the song Party which features Andre 3000 on the track leaked, but was shut down pretty quickly. I think Bey’s camp have got their work cut out if they wanna stop the leaks. | ‘Celebrity Rehab’ Season 5 Cast Announced Posted: 07 Jun 2011 03:11 PM PDT ‘Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew‘ is back and with the usual somewhat familiar, although obscure D-List celebrities. The new cast includes media whore and all around D-Bag Michael Lohan, Actress Bai Ling and 'Survivor' Cast-off Jessica “Sugar” Kiper.  No word on what everyone is addicted to, but one thing is for sure the one thing they all suffer withdrawals from is the camera. Celebrity Rehab Season 5 Cast: Micheal Lohan: Lindsay Lohan's dad and tabloid-hungry nobody. Sean Young: Actress from 'Blade Runner,' but she is mostly known for her surprise appearance on the Joan Rivers Show dressed as Catwoman in (failed) effort to attain the role in 'Batman Returns. Amy Fisher: Known as the woman who shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco and then later became a porn star. Bai Ling: Singer and Actress, known for her role in 'The Crow' Steven Adler: A former member of the rock band Guns 'n Roses, he was fired do to his heroin addiction. Jessica 'Sugar' Kiper: The 'Survivor: Gabon' runner-up contestant. Jeremy Jackson: Actor from the lifeguard series 'Baywatch.' He says he left the show because of his drug problem. Dwight Gooden: Baseball Star from the New York Mets and the Yankees.

Taylor Swift joined forces with Shania Twain yesterday, recreating the magic that was ‘Thelma & Louise‘ for the 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS . The singers got into character down in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, hopping into a blue convertible as they filmed the segment for the award show. The show will be hosted by Kid Rock and air LIVE from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CMT and CMT.com.  Performances for the award show include Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan and The Band Perry. Presenters include Shania Twain, Sara Evans, Justin Bieber (WTH?), Sheryl Crow, "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery and many more!

| Khloe Kardashian Proud Of Nipple Slip (Photo) Posted: 07 Jun 2011 12:55 PM PDT Khloe Kardashian and her sister Kourtney were on ‘Fox & Friends‘ this morning revealing more than just secrets. Khloe's right nipple was exposed through her sheer black shirt the entire time!
No one on set seemed to notice the nip slip, but once the show premiered viewers went to Twitter to let Khloe know they did.

The eccentric singer picked up an honor for being the year's top style icon.  Despite the wardrobe malfunction, a teal-wigged Gaga went on to praise Mugler’s design and talents in her acceptance speech. “I can’t believe I’m allowed in here … I used to save up my money to buy Mugler vintage archive. I used to save up all my money. I had to have it. That’s really what fashion is all about for me,” the fashion columnist popstar revealed. “I already felt like I had made it before I had made it. All of you made me feel like a star before I was. Democrat congressman Anthony Weiner has been caught in his lies. Photos of an inappropriate nature had been uploaded to twitter, as well as being sent to as many as six different women over the course of three years. While first denying the allegations, Weiner finally admitted that the photos are of him, and that he did in fact send them. It was easy to claim innocence when everyone kept their mouths shut, but once one of the women involved started talking, and then two others opened up about the situation as well, it was near impossible for Weiner to continue in his lies. ABC News prepared to interview one Meagan Broussard, a 26 year old single mother from Texas, with whom the congressman was having an ‘electronic relationship’. When Weiner’s camp got wind of the interview, he issued this statement; “I take full responsibility for my actions,” Weiner said. “The picture was of me, and I sent it.” Another of ‘his women’ included porn star Ginger Lee, who began receiving calls from the media regarding the scandal. On June 2, Weiner emailed Lee, “Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u advice? I can have someone on my team call. [Yeah, my team is doing great. Ugh].” Who this PR team is, is yet unknown. If they prove to be from his Congressional staff, then Weiner could face legal charges. The first woman involved was found by a joint investigation conducted by RadarOnline and Star Magazine, who convinced 40-year-old Las Vegas blackjack dealer Lisa Weiss to tell her story. Weiss revealed that the congressman lied during his tear-jerking confession Monday at a press conference in New York and that he DID use government resources for his extra-marital activities. Oh boy… I’d hate to be this guy. And what is it with these politicians, can ANY of them keep their pants zipped? I love that his name is ‘Weiner’… too fitting! |

Dakota Fanning has graduated high school! The 17-year-old actress attended her high school graduation yesterday. She sat amongst her classmates at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles for the ceremony honoring Campbell Hall’s Class of 2011. The flexible North Hollywood private school allowed Fanning to continue with her high school education, while still pursuing her successful film career. Outside of her movie commitments, Fanning managed to fit in a true high school experience. She was crowned Homecoming Queen two years in a row and was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad. “I think it was really important to have the high school experience,” she said on the Today Show last fall. ” I just think everyone always looks back on that time in their life. Who was homecoming princess and [did] the cheerleading … and all the things that go along with high school? And I wanted to have that. I’m really lucky that I found a school that allows me to do both.”  Fanning plans to enroll in New York University this fall. |

Lady Gaga has certainly made a statement with her daily choice of clothing, but is she really a fashion icon? The ‘Born This Way’ singer was named a fashion icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards Monday night. Gaga received the Award for 2011 at the the 10th annual event in New York City.  “Fashion made me feel like a star before I was,” she said as she accepted her award. Publicists at the CFDA Awards last night told reporters backstage in the press room that the night’s recipient of the Fashion Icon award would not be visiting them “because of the size of her dress.” Other big winners of the fashion-forward evening included Proenza Schouler for Womenswear Designer of the Year and Michael Bastian for Menswear Designer of the Year. Marc Jacobs was also honored at the event, receiving the Geoffery Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. It was wasn’t just designers who came out — Jessica Alba, Kirsten Dunst, Chloe Sevigny, Miranda Kerr, Ashley Greene, and Kanye West all attended the event. |
| Josh Duhamel Returning To ‘All My Children’ Posted: 07 Jun 2011 06:30 AM PDT TV and film actor Josh Duhamel has made a name for himself in Hollywood with blockbuster movies like the Transformers series, and hit TV shows like Las Vegas. What some people don’t know, is that the sexy thespian got his start on daytime dramas (Soap Operas), namely All My Children.
The now canceled soap has been on the air since 1970, and Duhamel starred on the show as con artist Leo du Pres for three years from 1999-2002. As a show of support as well as a nod to the fans, the actor is returning to Pine Valley and to the character he had created. The character of du Pres had supposedly died in 2003 after trying to save the life of Greenlee. His body however, was never recovered which allows for a possible return of the character. Duhamel’s return to AMC will air in August, and it is not known if he will return for a single episode or for a set. |
