| ‘Real Housewives of Vancouver’ Gets Green Lit Posted: 02 Jun 2011 04:15 AM PDT The Real Housewives of Orange County started a trend in 2006, when it gave us a ‘realistic’ view into the lives of sports star wives, celebrities and moguls. Now the drama and fun will be coming to Vancouver Canada, where Shaw Media just gave the series the green light.
The announcement came on Monday in Toronto, at the Shaw Media Upfronts. No word yet on who will be cast in the series. Slice Network will air the show beginning this fall. RHOC sprung into an international hit giving birth to six other Real Housewives series set across the United States, one in Israel, and another in Greece. There have also been rumors of another expansion location; The Real Housewives of Toronto. I just don’t get it. Talk about fluff… Who watches this crap? I mean really, do you wanna see a bunch of spoiled rotten brats fighting over shoes, whose only care in the world is how big a diamond they can finagle out of their rich husband? Oh wait… the shows are a hit. Never mind. |
| Rihanna’s New Video Under Fire From Parents Television Council Posted: 02 Jun 2011 03:52 AM PDT Rihanna‘s new video for the song Man Down was released on Tuesday and has come into the cross hairs of the Parents Television Council. The group claims that the singer’s video depicts a “cold, calculated execution of murder”.
Man Down shows Rihanna pulling a gun and killing the man who raped her in a crowded street, which the council thinks is Riri’s idea of proper justice and retribution. Another watchdog group called Industry Ears brings up Rihanna’s ex by saying “If Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop. Rihanna should not get a pass …” The BET network is also getting some backlash for airing the video. While admittedly, the scene is quite violent and not pleasant to watch by any stretch of the imagination, I do not think that Rihanna is glorifying anything. In fact, if these groups actually paid closer attention to say the LYRICS of the song, they might have seen the reality of the singer’s message:
Clearly, this is not a woman who thought it was a good idea to commit murder. |
| Blake Lively: Hacker Strikes Back, More Leaked Pics (Photos) Posted: 02 Jun 2011 03:20 AM PDT Tuesday night, a bunch of nude photos purporting to be Blake Lively surfaced on the net, and the Gossip Girl quickly tried to take action by threatening lawsuits via her rep. "The photos of Blake Lively which have just surfaced on various websites including Perez Hilton and Zap2it.com are 100 percent FAKE. Blake has never taken nude photos of herself." Oh, REALLY? So this is NOT you?
The hacker(s) responsible had gotten wind of the denial and wanted to prove themselves right, because last night a NEW batch of nudes and semi nudes were posted. The latest leaked photos clearly mock Blake and her publicists claim; “Oh, yes, Blake’s rep., these are totally fake. We really, really believe you. Want moar? BTW, thanks for all the faps.” I suppose the hacker didn’t like being called a liar… There may have been some debate as to the authenticity of the first set of nude photos due to the unclear face shot, but as you can plainly see, these are in fact Blake. | Wired Exclusive: ‘Happy Birthday Marilyn’ at Andrew Weiss Gallery Posted: 02 Jun 2011 01:59 AM PDT The major photography exhibit, Happy Birthday Marilyn, is now on display at the Andrew Weiss Gallery in Beverly Hills and Allie is Wired attended the private opening reception last night. In celebration of Marilyn Monroe's 85th birthday, the gallery has brought together an array of photographs, spanning from 1945 to her last known photograph in 1962, that captures the dramatic transition of an aspiring model into one of world's most iconic women.  In addition, the Gallery partnered with the Marilyn Remembered fan club to display personalized birthday wishes and messages written by her fans from around the world. The most exciting of the photographs are from the personal collection of George Barris, the last photographer to take pictures of Marilyn Monroe before she died.   Among these are ten never-before-seen photographs! Barris, author of the book Marilyn: Her Life in Her Own Words, made a personal appearance at the private reception last night to share his experience of Marilyn.  Below is one of the ten never-before-seen photos of Marilyn Monroe from the Seven Year Itch series (1954) and one of the last photographs of 36 year old Marilyn Monroe on Santa Monica beach a few weeks before her untimely death (1962), both taken by George Barris:   Barris's photographs and other Marilyn Monroe photos by Bill Carroll, Lazlo Willinger, Bert Stern, Milton Greene and Tom Kelly will be on exhibit at the Andrew Weiss Gallery until August 13, 2011. Oh yeah, Taylor Lautner will be there too.  MTV posted the snippet for us to enjoy, Bella walking down the aisle towards an awaiting Edward. Bieber recently debuted a new tattoo, his second, while on vacation in Hawaii with Selena Gomez, now he has a large star on his elbow. Dead sexy, huh?  The couple were spotted in Justin’s hometown in Canada, where he introduced Selena to his family. The large black outline of a star is actually identical to one his father, Jeremy Bieber, has on his elbow. It looks like it was done with a Sharpie®.  This is the second tattoo that matches one of his father’s tattoos. According to MTV, they have the same outline of a seagull from ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’ on their left hip. Justin had his done for his 16th birthday and his uncle allegedly has the same thing. |

Baum quit working for Lautner after only three months of being hired. Why would Baum resign from working with such a high profile actor after only three months of work? Rumor has it that Lautner's father, Daniel Lautner, is demanding and very hard to work with, perhaps this is the reason for Baum's early departure. Typical ‘Stage Parent‘. No reason from Baum or Taylor's management has been released on the matter. Lautner is set to star in upcoming Abduction film due out in September. Maybe it's time to leave dad behind, Taylor. Just saying. |
| Wired Exclusive: MTV/Redcross ‘Prepare LA’ Event Posted: 01 Jun 2011 03:36 PM PDT In celebration of the MTV Movie Awards, Platinum Publicity has joined with the Red Cross for Melanie Segal's latest Trend Lounge. The event's goal is to raise awareness about the Red Cross' "Prepare LA" campaign which is aimed at to help helping people be prepared for any disasters that may strike, such as earthquakes, wildfires, tsunamis and more.
There is to be a Celebrity Auction where Stars will autograph several items to be auctioned off, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Red Cross. As part of spreading the word, Celebrity guests will be participating in filming a Public Service Announcement about Prepare LA. As compensation for their support, guests will be getting a whole lot of swag! Vendors at the event will be providing the latest in electronics, fashion, accessories, pampering, beverages, and more. The event will be held on the rooftop of the swanky Luxe Hotel on Rodeo drive.

| Spencer Pratt Attacks Virgin Mobile, Claims ‘Sparah Is a Rip-Off’ Posted: 01 Jun 2011 01:00 PM PDT Spencer Pratt claims Virgin Mobile’s ‘Sparah’ is a direct rip-off of ‘Speidi’ and he wants to be paid! Spencer told TMZ, “They should being paying for using our likeness. It’s obvious they are trying to be us.”  The new Virgin Mobile commercials are built entirely around a fake Hollywood couple called “Sparah”, a mashup of the names Spencer and Sarah, and according to Pratt, he and Heidi have become the target of a national joke, with no money to show for it. Pratt continued, “We hate Sparah, it’s nuts how much Virgin is promoting them, when they are obviously copying us.” Allie reached out to Sparah’s people who issued the following statement, “Spencer and Sarah are flattered by the growing interest in the campaign. However, the couple currently has no time to comment due to their pressing endorsement commitments with Virgin Mobile and their frequent interactions with real celebrities.” Ouch! |

Arnold has hired high profile attorney, Robert Kaufman, who has already hit the ground running. TMZ reports that Kaufman has already gotten in touch with Laura Wasser, Maria's attonery. They are apparently moving forward with the divorce negotiations and are hammering out all the details. Kaufman and Wasser have faced off in the past with other celebrity divorces. They both specialize in keeping the divorce settlements under wraps which I'm sure will be much appreciated by Arnold and Maria. |
| Snooki Faces Lawsuit, Loses License After Car Crash Posted: 01 Jun 2011 12:35 PM PDT The Jersey Shore‘s most annoying reality star may have escaped facing charges from her car accident the other day when she slammed into the back of a police car, but that doesn’t mean her troubles are behind her. In addition to loosing her driver’s license, the pint sized trouble maker is facing possible legal action from the Italian cops injured in the incident.
While alcohol has been ruled out as a factor, stupidity has not. Ironically, the cops were hired to escort Snooki and co-star Deena through the city. The two injured cops have up to 90 days to decide if they want to file a civil case against the guidette. “It was nothing serious and they have been released, but they will not be back at work for a week”, a spokesperson for the Florence P.D. said. Italian law states that if there is an injury stemming from a traffic accident that the party responsible will lose their license immediately. GOOD! According to US Weekly, the entire cast of Jersey Shore have amassed over 300 Euro’s worth of traffic violations. Proof that morons should not drive. End of story. |

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 12:03 PM PDT While Jessica Biel nurses a broken heart stemming from her split with Justin Timberlake whom she dated for four years, the actor turned singer has been off romancing the ladies. Since March, he’s been linked to Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, and now Ashley Olsen.
The pair of former child stars both claim to be ‘just friends’ but an insider told US Weekly that “They are hooking up” and that “they’re really trying to keep it on the down-low.” Interesting… The non-couple have been spotted hanging out a lot recently in and around the New York City area. They’ve been spotted together at the Greenwich Hotel, an SNL afterparty, two Broadway shows and a polo match outside the city. A rep for Timberlake denies that anything sexual in nature is going on with the pair saying “They are friends. They are not romantically involved”, while Olsen’s rep says that Ashley is “aware of Justin’s reputation with women, but…They’re in the same head space” Whatever that means. To celebrate the two cities playing in the NBA Finals, Kimmel conducted a special web scavenger hunt with one participant from Miami and one from Dallas.  How does Mike Tyson feel about his tattoo artist suing the movie, Hangover 2? “I just want people to see the movie. It’s a good movie. I don’t have any comment about what another man decides to do for what ever reason he decides to do it. I’m just glad I’m not getting sued for once,” Tyson told Global Grind. | Selena Gomez Guest Hosts American Top 40 This Weekend Posted: 01 Jun 2011 10:14 AM PDT Selena Gomez, Hollywood Records recording artist and star of the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, will guest host American Top 40 this weekend, June 4th and 5th. In addition to counting down the Top 40 songs, Gomez will answer questions directly from fans, spin music from Selena Gomez & The Scene's upcoming third studio album When The Sun Goes Down, and talk about her latest feature film Monte Carlo, which hits theaters July 1st.  I’m surprised she has time for foot massages. Selena Gomez & The Scene's current single, "Who Says," was released on March 14th and is the band's fourth consecutive song to debut inside the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was certified Gold on May 9th.  As a special countdown to the June 28th release of When The Sun Goes Down, fans can download the following songs from the album on iTunes in the coming weeks: "Bang Bang Bang" (6/7), "Dices" ("Who Says" – Spanish version – 6/14) and "Love You Like A Love Song" (6/21).
