| ‘The Avengers’ Begins Filming Today! Posted: 25 Apr 2011 03:35 AM PDT Writer/Director Joss Whedon of Buffy fame is a quirky fellow. He announced to fans last night that Marvel’s new superhero movie The Avengers will begin filming TODAY! That’s right comic fans, all your favorite superheros (and some you’ve never heard of) will all come together on film. Starting today.
Whedon wrote a post on the Whedonesque.com website that said the following;
The film stars Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johanson, Chris Evans and many, many others. The Avengers is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4th 2012. |

What does she think? She’s mad! “She is fine,” says producer Nathan Folks, who is a close friend of Lohan. “Obviously, she is upset about [being sentenced to four months in jail].” Why is she angry? “She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around,” says Folks, who insists Lohan is clean and sober. “She didn’t do what they said she did. She didn’t steal that necklace.” Lohan remains free pending an appeal of the sentence, which legal experts say she has slim chance of winning. Lohan's pre-trial hearing will be May 11 and her trial was set for June 3. Lindsay was ordered by the judge to personally appear for both occasions. She also must report on July 21 for an update on her probation violation. |
| Miley Cyrus Meets Make-a-Wish Kids (Photo) Posted: 24 Apr 2011 11:49 PM PDT Miley Cyrus took time off from tour rehearsals to meet 14 children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and the Make-A-Wish Foundation International. The visit promotes World Wish Day on April 29th.  Along with meeting Cyrus, the children enjoyed four days in California visiting tourist attractions, riding in stretch limousines and enjoying a trip to Universal Studios. According to Deadline, former American Idol judge Paula Abdul and British singer Cheryl Cole will join Cowell and Antonio "L.A." Reid on the panel. While Cowell said negotiations with Abdul haven’t begun yet, he said “there’s a good chance it will be her.” “I missed her the second she left [Idol],” Cowell said. “Always loved working with her even though she can be a pain. … I don’t know what it is about her, but I’ve always clicked with her. You just have to get that chemistry, and she’s right. I’ve never found anyone better than her.” Cowell also confirmed reports that British singer Cheryl Cole will likely be the fourth judge at the table. Although Cole, who also is a judge on the British version of X Factor, is relatively unknown to U.S. audiences, Cowell defended the choice, saying Cole is “special.” “Shes a great judge. She’s smart,” Cowell said. “It’s just a hunch. If people take to her like the British public did, I think she’s going to do really well in America. And Fox was desperate to hire her.” The X Factor, which premieres this fall, will search the nation for undiscovered artist or group. The winning act will receive a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. Are you as happy as I am to see Simon and Paula reunited? |
| Lady Gaga Sometimes Feels Like A Loser (Video) Posted: 24 Apr 2011 07:21 PM PDT HBO is teasing new documentary-style footage of Lady Gaga praying backstage, as the network counts down to its May 7th broadcast of ‘Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden.’ The black-and-white clip is essentially a monologue, as Gaga faces her dressing-room mirror and gets some pretty intense emotions off her chest, while wiping makeup off her face. Get this… she still feels like a loser.  Gaga explains that although her monstrously successful tour has reached the biggest venue in her hometown of Manhattan, she struggles with insecurity: “I still sometimes feel like a loser kid in high school.” “I gotta pick myself up and I have to tell myself I’m a superstar every morning so that I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need me to be.” She adds that she feels her reputation for showiness has led people to misjudge who she is. “It hurts when I know how much authenticity and how much genuine blood is in my spirit, and how much I feel like people don’t know that,” she explains.
