| ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Live Chat @ 5:30pm EST! Posted: 13 Apr 2011 04:08 AM PDT I am not sure how to feel about this. The original 5 Planet of the Apes films were among my favorite sci-fi films of all time. The remake with Mark Wahlberg fully sucked. The upcoming prequel titled Rise of the Planet of the Apes is poised to hit theaters August 5th, and to be honest, I’m worried.
It stars James Franco as scientist Will Rodman (sounds like a porn name) who’s experiments on Altzheimer’s research leads to a mutation in one of his test subjects, a chimp. According to the mythos, this is the catalyst that leads to the uprising of the primates to battle humans for control of the planet. From everything I’ve read and/or seen regarding this film so far, it should be amazing. But again.. there’s that Apes movie that Tim Burton royally f-ed up. This evening at 5:30pm EST/2:30 PST, WETA Digital the visual effects company behind the film will host a live-stream chat to discuss the making of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. | Bradley Cooper In Talks To Star In ‘The Crow’ Remake Posted: 13 Apr 2011 03:31 AM PDT The execs at Relativity Media are scrambling (or so it seems) to get their remake of The Crow up and shooting. Last week, they hired on Juan Carlos Fresnadillo who directed the zombie sequel 28 Weeks Later.
The film that made Brandon Lee a star, and subsequently ended his life, was supposedly in talks with Mark Wahlberg to star as the rocker who is killed while trying to save his fiancee from being brutalized by thugs. I guess that casting choice fell through. They are they still trying to put together a cast. The current front-runner for the role is Renee Zellweger‘s ex, Bradley Cooper. The actor is in “early negotiations” for the part. Cooper is currently in theaters starring in the film Limitless, and his buddy comedy The Hangover 2 will hit theaters May 26th. |

Yesterday, the tiny little actress told Ellen DeGeneres that fans often ask her how she and her boyfriend, 6'6" Ukranian boxer Wladimir Klitschko do the nasty. (She's only 5'1") “He is quite a bit bigger than me. I get the prudest people coming up to me and they’re like, does it work? Yeah, it works. We find a way,” the Scream 4 star said, a little too candidly for Ellen's taste. “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!” Ellen expressed shock that fans would ask those kinds of questions, but Panettiere barely batted an eyelash. “I don’t mind it,” she said. | Lindsay Lohan Bonds With Victoria Gotti Posted: 12 Apr 2011 08:47 PM PDT No official announcement has been made about Lindsay Lohan playing the role of Victoria Gotti in the upcoming film, Gotti: Three Generations. Why then, was Lohan involved in a press event held Tuesday at the Sheraton Hotel in New York to promote the project?  According to The Daily Mail, the famous mobster's daughter has hand-picked Lohan to portray her in the biopic. (Reportedly passing over Blake Lively and Sienna Miller, who were also in contention for the role.) The British tabloid suggests the hold-up may have something to do with the repeatedly-rehabbed starlet's upcoming court appearance. (I know it's hard to keep them all straight, but she's due to appear before a judge on April 22 on charges for allegedly stealing that necklace.) Contract or no, Lohan and Gotti made a striking pair at the event with their long, similarly-styled blond tresses. The former "Growing Up Gotti" star had nothing but praise for the troubled young actress. “I think she’s incredible. I think she’s a great actress. I think she can do … any role, really," said Gotti, who admitted to being a fan of Lohan since her Disney days. The film's producer, Marc Fiore, also spoke highly of the star. “Lindsay is a terrific actress,” he said. “Nothing has been finalized, but we are definitely in talks.” John Travolta has already signed on to play the Teflon Don himself, John Gotti. He, too, had kind words for Lohan. “I know first hand that Lindsay Lohan happens to be a big fan of mine,” the man who will portray one of the world's most notorious mob boss said. “I’ve always thought she was gorgeous and talented and filled with a lot of depth. So, I think that whatever she would like to do would be great with me.” Joe Pesci has been cast to play opposite Travolta as Gotti's right hand man Angelo Ruggiero. There is no word who will play John Gotti, Jr., who succeeded his father as head of the Gambino crime family. Junior's life story is the inspiration for the movie. Nick Cassavetes will direct the $75 million film. Shooting is scheduled to begin in October. |

The Hollywood rumor mill started churning about the star after some unflattering photos surfaced of a weekend jog she took with boyfriend Sean Penn and their friend Owen Wilson. The three-some were photographed mid-jog not far from Penn's home in Malibu on Sunday. Johansson wore black leggings and a fitted gray tank, which protruded around the tummy – hence the speculation about a baby bump. But according to the 26-year-old actresses' rep, that is definitely not the case. "Scarlett is not pregnant," the rep told UsMagazine.com. So what about that unsightly bulge? “She’s outside running and it’s simply the placement of her shirt that is misleading,” the rep explained, insisting that the star is "in the best shape of her life" after spending the last 4 months training for The Avengers. | Demi Lovato Talks About Her Battle With Bulimia Posted: 12 Apr 2011 05:59 PM PDT Fans and press alike have been speculating what the circumstances were that led to the Disney star’s admission to a treatment facility last November.
There was speculation of drug or alcohol abuse, and there was the incident of the fight with backup dancer Alex Welch, who threatened to sue the young starlet. But apparently it was her eating disorder (bulimia), as well as a ‘cutting’ habit which led to her seeking treatment. “I don’t think there’s going to be a day when I don’t think about food or my body, but I’m living with it, and I wish I could tell young girls to find their safe place and stay with it. I allow myself a lot of freedom and I’m very peaceful now.” “There have been times when I definitely have been tempted to get rid of my dinner, I will deal with it for the rest of my life because it’s a life-long disease.” When asked what her advice to young girls who are going through similar issues, she responded; “It’s very crucial that you get your feelings out – but don’t ever inflict harm on your own body because your body is so sacred. If you are going through that dark period, go to your family and closest friends, don’t put yourself in danger.” That’s some good advice! Well, I’m just glad she’s doing better. | Justin Bieber Whines About Paparazzi In Israel Posted: 12 Apr 2011 05:15 PM PDT Justin Bieber is ticked off at the paparazzi for raining on his parade. The 17-year old pop star arrived in Tel Aviv yesterday, and had plans to explore the city and meet the nation's prime minister prior to his Thursday show, PopEater reports. His plans were interrupted, however, by some snap-happy photographers.  "You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places. All I wanted was the chance to walk where jesus did here in isreal [sic],” the tween whined via Twitter after he was thwarted in his attempt to visit a place of worship by the aforementioned cameras. Speaking of respect, you might want to double check your spelling there, kiddo. He kept right on bashing the press, tweeting: “They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating but not in a place of prayer, ridiculous.” and ” People wait their whole lives for opportunities like this, why would they want to take that experience away from someone.” Finally, he gave up and headed back to his hotel to pout, with one last Twitter barb to the paparazzi: “staying in the hotel for the rest of the week u happy?” It's hard to feel sorry for Mr. Pouty Pants, though, considering his fans have literally risked life and limb merely for the chance to gather outside his hotel, waiting to catch sight of the pop star. A bus carrying a group of teenage fans from the Gaza border was actually struck by a Hamas rocket en route to Tel Aviv. Luckily the vehicle was stopped and the kids had already exited, or else it would have been truly catastrophic. As it is, one of the teens and the bus driver were injured in the incident. According to Haaretz.com, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had personally invited the group to join him in the meeting he has scheduled with Bieber on Wednesday. Joining the dynamic duo, was Shane Harper, best known for his role on the Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie.” Allie is Wired was invited to join them, and had the best seats in the house!  The tour follows a packed, free concert held at the Grove in Los Angeles, where the teens not only performed for thousands of screaming fans but signed autographs and held a meet and greet for over three hours. Performing a few fan favorites, Greyson also managed to debut a new song! (I had some help from his fans on this one!) [performance starts at the 2:00 minute mark - see more videos] See what I mean by having the best seats in the house? Yeah, the screaming was a bit much, but the concert was awesome! When they were asked about touring together, "After our show at the Grove, I could not be more excited to tour with Cody. | Wired Exclusive: Shane Harper Performing Live ‘Waiting 4 U Tour’ Posted: 12 Apr 2011 12:20 PM PDT Shane Harper, best known for his role on the Disney Channel‘s hit show Good Luck Charlie, performed live at the Gothic Theatre in Denver, Colorado. He opened for Cody Simpson and Greyson Chance, while on their second stop of the ‘Waiting 4 U Tour.’  Shane’s self-titled debut album drops today — via AMI Records, the label owned by Adam Anders, the renowned musical producer for the hit TV show Glee! Allie is Wired was invited to join them and had the opportunity of speaking with Shane before the concert. What a delightful young man, with a very clear focus on his future. The concert was held at the Gothic Theatre, to a completely sold-out crowd of thousands of screaming teenage girls. So, the best seats in the house proved to be both enjoyable and quite painful. My ears are still ringing. In spite of all that screaming, it was an amazing concert! You can see Shane’s performance of “One Step Closer,” — HERE! | Ashley Tisdale & Others Get Naked For ‘Allure’ Magazine (Photos) Posted: 12 Apr 2011 10:21 AM PDT Former Disney star Ashley Tisdale is sick and tired of people still seeing her as a kid. So how do you rectify people’s perceptions? Pose naked for a magazine, of course! Tisdale along with Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco, Keri Hilson, and Bridget Moynahan all strip bare for Allure Magazine‘s May 2011 issue.
Tisdale on her reasons behind the nudity; “I’m 25, almost 26, but people think of me as much younger because I look young. Being in this shoot was me saying, ‘I’m not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I’m actually a woman.’” So while Ashley is all ‘woman power’ over the shoot, Kaley Cuoco is hiding the nudity aspect from her parents… “I have not told my family about this, and I’ll tell you why: Until they see the photos, they won’t understand.” “When I told my mom about the shoot, I left out the part about taking my clothes off. | Wired Exclusive: Kardashians and REDBOOK Celebrate Family Issue Posted: 12 Apr 2011 08:57 AM PDT Last night Allie is Wired caught up with the Kardashians at the Sunset Tower Hotel as they celebrated the cover of Redbook magazine’s first-ever family issue. Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kris, Kendall and Kylie were all in attendance to toast the issue that hits newsstands today. Even little Mason made a surprise appearance!  Kim and Khloe worked the Redbook red-carpet, answering questions about family, fashion and relationships. Both ladies gushed over their men: Khloe on Lamar Odom and Kim on Kris Humpries. When it comes to fashion, both sisters said they love each others style and Kim told us that she always wishes she could steal Khloe’s bags and shoes. Khloe on the other hand said she is never one to buy a lot of jewelry and loves to borrow Kim’s.   As an early Mother’s Day gift, all the girls wrote special notes to their mom, Kris, which were displayed around the event. Kim wrote her mom that they were “soul twins” and Kourtney reflected on motherhood now that she is a mom too! Both Kylie and Kendall thanked Kris for making them laugh. Apparently she is a funny mom.   Before the cover girls signed the big cover photo, Kris thanked everyone for coming and spoke about how emotional it was to read the girls’ letters to her, calling herself a “mush”. Kim acknowledged that at times it’s so hard to get the family together but doing the Redbook cover was a great way to have all the sisters in one room. Baby Mason was quick to interrupt Auntie Kim with “ball ball” when he saw the beach ball decorations. He was too cute and absolutely stole the show! | ‘Octo-Mom’ Nadya Suleman May Get Evicted Posted: 12 Apr 2011 07:15 AM PDT
RadarOnline.com reports that the single mom and her ridiculously large brood are about to get evicted from 2,454 square foot La Habra, California home they've occupied since 2009. According to documents obtained by RadarOnline, Amer Haddadin – who sold the house to Suleman's dad, Ed Doud, for $565,000 3 years ago – has started the eviction process by sending letters to the mortgage holder, the title company, Doud and Suleman's lawyer indicating he intends to foreclose. Apparently, Suleman missed a $450,000 balloon payment last October, but was allowed to stay in the home. Something about a shady title transfer involving her lawyer Jeff Czech and a company called Harmony Enterprises. "Amer has finally had enough. He offered that if they transfer the title back into his name then he would lease the property back to her for two years," a source close to Haddadin reported. "But neither Nadya, her lawyer nor her father, would return his calls, so, he decided to take this action to get the matter resolved." The insider said: "A mutual friend tried to approach Nadya about the situation but she just 'flipped-out' and claimed that the house now belonged to her and was secure in a trust." Of course, that's not the case. That half a million dollar mortgage doesn't just disappear. Haddadin is the one left footing the bill, which his apparently causing more than a little financial strain. The source says he's living in a trailer with a mom while paying for the house. "The stress of the whole situation has got to him and he hates the fact that he is painted as 'the bad guy' who is trying to kick Nadya and her family out of her house," the source explained. "He has tried to be reasonable with her but nobody will respond to him and he just wants to get the whole matter resolved now." In a letter to Indy Mac Loans' Home Retention Department obtained by RadarOnline, dated April 5, Haddadin wrote: … "I am the gentleman who has the questionable distinction of owning the property where Nadya Suleman 'Octomom' is currently living with her family. The situation is currently very difficult and I hope that my explanation is clear. "On 2/26/09, I received an offer from Ed Doud, Mr Suleman's father. We entered into an All Inclusive Purchase Money Deed of Trust dated March 9, 2009. The terms included a balloon payment of $450k (with interest) no later than March 9, 2010. In the interim they were to pay monthly payments equal to the amount I currently owe you on the above loan. Due to financial difficulties I agreed to a modification of the terms on 4/6/10 changing the due date to October 9, 2010. This was drafted by her attorney Jeff Czech. "I have continued to experience repeated late payments and received no balloon payment throughout this time. They continue to request extensions, which I have granted, feeling great sympathy for her family situation. In addition I have received notice from the company that my payments will be increasing, as the terms were for an adjustable loan. "I find this a great source of worry and dissention. Her attorney will not speak to me, although he is responsible for forwarding payments to me monthly. She will not return calls. Her father says that he is very sorry, but has nothing to offer. Apparently she felt she would have many opportunities for monetary gain, but none have come through. Her last demonstration to the media was a soft porn photo shoot, which was actually disgusting." … Yeah, someone should have told "Octo" that fetish video was a bad idea. But then, intentionally getting pregnant with octuplets while a single parent with five other kids at home wasn't exactly brilliant in retrospect either, was it? Who's the bad guy? | Alyson Hannigan Joins Cast of ‘American Reunion’ Posted: 12 Apr 2011 05:49 AM PDT It just wouldn’t have been the same without Alyson Hannigan reprising her role as Michelle in the latest American Pie film. You remember her… The band camp nerd who ‘one time, at band camp.. stuck a flute’ WHERE???
Although the filmmakers are doing their damnedest to get the entire original cast back for the reunion, there has been speculation that Hannigan might not be amongst the rest of the gang due to scheduling conflicts. Hannigan stars along side Neil Patrick Harris in the highly successful and entertaining comedy How I Met Your Mother, which airs Monday nights at 8pm on CBS. The film will be shot while How I Met Your Mother is on hiatus. |
