| Kim Kardashian PO’d About Turkish Cosmo Cover Posted: 11 Apr 2011 03:37 PM PDT Kim Kardashian graces the cover of this month's Turkish Cosmopolitan looking as gorgeous as ever, but the reality TV star is far from happy about it. The problem isn't the picture, but rather the country in which it will be distributed. Kardashian, who is of Armenian descent, has been vocal about the atrocities committed by the Turks against the Armenian people.  The photos of Kardashian were taken during an international photo shoot for Cosmo, but she had no idea they would ever end up on the cover of the Turkish magazine, reports TMZ. (Who knew there was even a Turkish Cosmo!) Apparently, the magazine was supposed to clear what international editions would bear her face, but apparently they dropped the ball on this one. And the timing couldn't be worse – April 24 marks the day Armenians honor those who fell victim to the genocide. A statement from Cosmo seems to skirt the issue entirely. "Kim Kardashian is one of our favorite cover girls. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph her for the Cosmopolitan editions worldwide," their spokesperson reportedly told TMZ. So much for cultural sensitivity. |
| Samantha Ronson Banged Up In Weekend Accident Posted: 11 Apr 2011 03:20 PM PDT DJ Samantha Ronson is battered and bruised from a bike accident over the weekend. Lindsay Lohan's former love was reportedly on her way home from a gig at The Brig in Venice, when she swerved to avoid a car. The resulting "faceplant" necessitated 12 stitches. "9 on my eyebrow 1 on my forehead and 2 in my bottom lip. Not pretty," Ronson explained, via Twitter.  Today, Ronson tweeted a photo of the aftermath bearing the caption, "Wear a helmet kids!" With it was the following message: "Let this be a lesson… if you have a driver’s license you probably don’t need to be on a bmx bike.” Despite the pain and discomfort she's in – in an account she posted on Tumblr, she said she had to eat through a straw because of the swelling – she's kept her sense of humor, exchanging witting banter with friends and fans via Twitter. "To the person who coined the phrase “it’s as easy as riding a bike” my face disagrees!" she Tweeted at one point, before joking about looking like the elephant man and needing a mask to hide her bruised and battered features. She was also quick to correct TMZ, who reported the DJ had been struck by a car. In response to another follower's question about the incident, she joked that she was trying to recreate the video to Mark Ronson's "The Bike Song." Her injuries forced her to cancel the gig she had scheduled for Saturday night at Downstairs in Park City, Utah. But other than going a bit stir crazy from being housebound (as she details in her aforementioned Tumblr post), she seems to be on the mend. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! |

Oh, don't get too excited. She's not on some carnivorous binge. The 29-year old mother-to-be is merely reverting to vegetarianism during her pregnancy. She and fiancé Benjamin Millepied are expecting their first child this summer. “I actually went back to being vegetarian when I became pregnant, just because I felt like I wanted that stuff,” she told radio listeners during an interview with Q100 Bert Show in Atlanta. “I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy and that sort of stuff.” Portman has been a vegan since 2009, when she read Jonathan Safran Foer’s "Eating Animals." “I know there are people who do stay vegan, but I think you have to just be careful, watch your iron levels and your B12 levels and supplement those if there are things you might be low in your diet,” she said. So why did she decide to revert to her non-vegan ways? Cravings. “If you’re not eating eggs, then you can’t have cookies or cake from regular bakeries, which can become a problem when that’s all you want to eat,” she laughed. While she may be giving in to temptation at the bakery, she's resisting any urge to find out whether or not her baby is a boy or a girl. “People can say a lot of things and they have a 50 percent chance of being right. I’m Jewish and I think in Judaism, there’s a lot of superstition around not doing too much before the baby comes,” she explained. Either way, we wish her a happy and healthy pregnancy, with all the cookies and cake her heart desires. |
| Kimberly Stewart Pregnant With Benicio Del Toro’s Baby Posted: 11 Apr 2011 12:51 PM PDT Kimberly Stewart and Benicio del Toro are having a baby! But don't get any romantic notions in your head. According to del Toro's rep, Robin Baum, the two aren't dating. “Kimberly is pregnant. Benicio is the father and is very supportive. Although they are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby,” Baum reportedly told Life & Style. This is the first child for both.  Stewart, 31, is the daughter of – and, regrettably, bears a startling resemblance to – rocker Rod Stewart. She had quite the party girl reputation up at least up until a couple of years ago when she had a falling out with her gal pal Paris Hilton. She's been engaged to musician Cisco Alder and former “Laguna Beach” star Talan Torriero and is rumored to have dated both Tommy Lee and Joe Francis (the schlep who produced all those gag-worth “Girls Gone Wild” videos). More recently she's been linked with actors Jude Law and Rhys Ifans. Damn. She really got around. Another thing she got from her dad, I guess. Del Toro, 44, is perhaps best known for his Oscar winning role in "Traffic." He has a host of other acting credits to his name, including "Che," which he also produced. His past flings have included beauties Scarlett Johansson and Lindsay Lohan. |

Spears came in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with her sixth chart-topping album, “Femme Fatale,” selling 276,000 copies in its first week. She’s released a smoking hot new remix with Rihanna and it has been officially announced that Nicki Minaj will be the opening act for her upcoming arena tour. So why isn’t Britney Spears happy? Is this why?  Victoria Prince sat on the sidelines, as Kevin Federline coached son Sean Preston's Little League game this weekend. Prince is expecting her first child, a baby girl, with Kevin later this year. Britney attended the game also, however, she kept hidden the entire time.  Brit watched the game from inside her car. After the game, she ducked to hide as Jason drove off. Daily Mail has one shot that looks like she’s in tears. You know, there’s a good chance that Britney doesn’t even care that Prince is flaunting her belly in her face every week. It’s even possible that Brit doesn’t care that she’ll, more than likely, be the sole support of Victoria and Kevin’s baby. And Kevin will just keep growing. |

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE IT. In other Britney Spears news; after Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the tour a whole 5 minutes after it was announced, Brit has found herself another touring buddy. Kelly doesn’t want to risk it. Not to mention that she is in love with her new figure. Who wouldn’t? She’s been looking AMAZING. A ‘friend’ of Osbourne’s was quoted as saying;
Her mother Sharon Osbourne had the gastric band surgery and lost 100lbs as the result, and fully supports her daughter should she decide to go through with the surgery. Yikes, that IS drastic.
