Nicollette Sheridan Drops Abuse Claims In ‘Desperate Housewives’ Lawsuit

Nicollette Sheridan made headlines by suing her former “Desperate Housewives” employers, including, the show’s creator Marc Cherry, Touchstone Television Productions, ABC Studios and ABC Entertainment for $20 million with regard to her termination.

In the lawsuit, she had originally claimed allegations of assault and battery, emotional distress, gender violence and wrongful termination.


Now, she’s dropping some of the key issues in her lawsuit, reportedly so that she wouldn’t have to submit herself for a psychiatric evaluation.

On Friday, December 17th, Nicollette dropped the claims that she suffered physical injury and emotional distress, leading the defense to drop its request for a psychiatric and physical examination. Both parties have agreed and the case is set to continue without those allegations.

“Radar Online” reports:

Now, however, Sheridan has avoided the physical and psych eval by dropping the key claims. In the new filing she maintains those claims are still valid but she wants to streamline the case. The defense agreed.

Sheridan still has the right to pursue lost wages, benefits and other financial compensation as the case goes forward.

Neil Patrick Harris Still Feuding With Eric Braeden

On Friday, Neil Patrick Harris took a swipe at Eric Braeden, calling him a “D-bag” for skipping out on an appearance on his show, “How I Met Your Mother”.

In case you weren’t aware of who Eric Braeden is, he played Victor Newman on “The Young And The Restless” for a long time. He also played the part of Robin’s father on “HIMYM”.


Neil tweeted, “Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. the actor, (Robin’s dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn’t ‘substantial’ enough.”

Apparently, that caused Eric to run to “Entertainment Weekly” to discuss the matter. In response, he said, “I really don’t know who that fellow is. He’s a guy who stars in that series. It’s very unfortunate. First of all, I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I’ve doubled my work, 30 to 50 pages a day for me, alone. Everyone knows that I’m exhausted. I was not about to appear on a show for two lines, because that’s what it amounted to.”

“Entertainment Weekly” reports:

Braeden originally agreed to take the gig because he enjoyed his first appearance on the CBS comedy in November 2008. "I truly enjoyed working there last time," Braeden said. "The cast and crew and producers couldn't have been nicer."

As for Harris, "His choice of words bothered me," Braeden added. "It seems to me like a young whippersnapper, having seen himself on a few covers, who's received a few awards, is now suddenly suffering from the first signs of hubris. I've been in the business for 50 years. I've seen people come and go and I'm still here."

Braeden ultimately laughed off the whole situation. "If he is a worthy adversary, he'd better not cross my path. I will let bygones be bygones."

Neil has since taken to his Twitter to apologize, saying, “Now I feel bad for the D-bag comment. Don’t know the guy personally. I’m just fiercely protective of our show. Jpk”

Lo Bosworth Splits From Boyfriend Scott Hochstadt

Lo Bosworth is a single lady for the holidays, after splitting from her boyfriend of two years, Scott Hochstadt.

Her rep said, “Lo and Scott are no longer together, but remain good friends.”



Scott was reportedly shopping around for the perfect engagement ring prior to the breakup. A source close to the former couple said, “They realized they are in different places in their lives. The timing was just off. The breakup is hard for both of them, but it’s the most realistic thing at this point.”

Scott even appeared on the final season of “The Hills” and was looking around for a ring for the actress. A source said, “Scott was in talks with the jewelry brand Yasmin & Jazmin for the past two months. He wanted to marry Lo, and he wanted to propose with something special and personalized.”

How sweet of an idea. It’s a shame that they’ve broken things off, they look like such a cute couple. What do you think?

Demi Lovato’s Rep Calls Sex Tape Rumors Disgusting

Demi Lovato’s rep is not amused by all of the rumblings suggesting that she is involved in any kind of sex tape. Reportedly, Demi’s uncle, Francisco Lovato was keeping watch outside of her tour bus while she was doing God knows what with random dudes.

Demi is gearing up for a lawsuit from former dancer, Alex Welch, over reports that the Disney star slugged Alex in the face, leaving a bruise under her eye. Since, some pretty racy photos were leaked of Demi, depicting her pulling down her bra to expose her boobs.


Even more recently, it was said that Demi had become a fan of videotaping her sexual exploits. It was also said that a sex tape would be hitting the internet soon.

Now, Demi’s rep is calling the rumor “disgusting”, denying that Francisco came along for the tour and said that we should consider the source before spreading the story around.

The rep said, “Perpetrating these completely unfounded rumors from supposed sources while Demi is in treatment dealing with serious physical and emotional issues is disgusting. The sourcing on this report is so spotty that it is hard to fully respond. Francisco Lovato is the brother of Demi’s estranged father. He never traveled on the tour, and certainly didn’t serve as some sort of chaperone. We would ask serious news outlets to strongly consider the source of this story before they regurgitate it.”
