Disney’s ‘Cars 2′ – New Characters & Voice Actors Posted: 30 Nov 2010 04:31 PM PST Disney/Pixar‘s animation blockbuster Cars 2 hits theaters June 24th 2011. This time around there will be many new cars joining in on the fun. I can’t wait to see this one! Comcast To Block Netflix For New Fees – Sign The Petition! Posted: 30 Nov 2010 03:33 PM PST Comcast is threatening to block Netflix unless they get some new fees paid to them, causing their price to go up for the consumer. Comcast is doing this in hopes of being paid, otherwise people can use their video service instead. A partner of Comcast, Level 3 Communications’ chief legal officer, Thomas C. Stortz, said, “With this action, Comcast demonstrates the risk of a 'closed' Internet, where a retail broadband Internet access provider decides whether and how their subscribers interact with content.” From the press release: This outrageous abuse of power by Comcast comes on the very week that President Obama’s FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski will announce whether he’ll fulfill Obama’s promise to protect the open Internet and Net Neutrality — which would prevent this type of corporate abuse. The FCC needs to hear from consumers now, before the Chairman makes his announcement this week. Take action now so that Comcast isn’t able to make these changes. Sign our message to the FCC: “Don’t let Comcast block Netflix or other online innovators for their own profit! Support the strongest Net Neutrality protections possible — and keep Obama’s promise.” The petition has already received 30,000 signatures and you can add yours to it today, by clicking the above link and adding your name to the cause. If you’re a Netflix user, this action would cause the fee you pay for their service to increase…and internet providers like Comcast can drive their competitors out of business. This could start a domino effect, causing them to believe that they can threaten to block other services, such as iTunes. The FCC’s decision will also affect just about everything else regarding online video. They will decide soon whether or not to allow Comcast to purchase NBC, thus possibly stopping customers from getting video from ABC, CBS and other media outlets. Protect the open internet today and sign the petition!

Lady Gaga Protests Don’t Ask Don’t Tell – Video Posted: 30 Nov 2010 01:01 PM PST Lady Gaga has been on a continuing mission, to make everyone equal in their own right. She has previously taken a stand against “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and has made a new video just last night. Good for her, for sticking to her guns! This kind of treatment is unfair to those serving in the military and defending our country. Check out the video, below: “We’ve known for many years that an overwhelming majority of Americans are ready to repeal,” Gaga says in the backstage video. “Senators, you have been put on notice by me and by the people of this country. You said you would debate and address this law when the Pentagon returned with a strategy, and tomorrow morning you will have it. So will you keep your word? Please keep your word.” Little Monsters and other human rights activists can go to sldn.org/Gaga to get involved. Halle Berry – ‘Frankie & Alice’ Trailer & Clips (Video) Posted: 30 Nov 2010 11:06 AM PST Academy Award winner Halle Berry is setting out for more Oscar gold with her latest turn in Frankie and Alice. Check out the film’s trailer as well as a few clips from the film… Frankie (Berry) is a young woman struggling with multiple personality disorder who seeks the help of psychiatrist Dr. Oz played by Stellan Skarsgård. The film also stars Phylicia Rashad (Cosby Show) as Frankie’s mother Edna, who fears for her daughter’s life because one of her personalities, a racist white woman, is intent on destroying her. Frankie and Alice hits theaters in limited release on December 10th making it just under the cut for the 2011 Oscar nominations, and will be in wide release in February 2011.

Johnny Depp ‘All My Characters Are Gay’ Posted: 30 Nov 2010 10:32 AM PST Johnny Depp is the cover guy for the latest issue of “Vanity Fair” and he talks about everything from comparing Angelina Jolie to Elizabeth Taylor to all of the characters he portrays being gay. Who knew?!?? When talking about Angelina Jolie, he said, “Meeting her and getting to know her was a real pleasant surprise. You don’t know what she might be like – if she has any sense of humor at all. I was so pleased to find that she is incredibly normal, and has a wonderfully kind of dark, perverse sense of humor.” On the set of their new movie, “The Tourist”, he talked about the media scrutiny on set, saying, “Poor thing, dogged by paparazzi, her and her husband, Brad…all their kids. There are times when you see how ridiculous is this life, how ludicrous it is, you know, leaving your house every morning and being followed by paparazzi.” He went on to reveal that they had to be discreet filming with Angie, saying that they were “having to hide, sometimes not even being able to talk to each other in public places because someone will take a photograph and it will be misconstrued and turned into some other sh*t.” Johnny went on to compare Angelina to Elizabeth Taylor, saying, “I’ve had the honor and the pleasure and gift of having known Elizabeth Taylor for a number of years. You know, you sit down with her, she slings hash, she sits there and cusses like a sailor, and she’s hilarious. Angie’s got the same kind of thing, you know, the same approach.” When asked what it was like playing the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, he said, “Somebody once asked Hunter S. Thompson, ‘What is the sound of one hand clapping, Hunter?’ and he smacked him. Captain Jack was kind of like that for me, an opening up of this part of yourself. There is a little Bugs Bunny in all of us.” Of Disney’s reaction to Captain Jack, he revealed, “They couldn’t stand him. I think it was Michael Eisner, the head of Disney at the time, who was quoted as saying, ‘He’s ruining the movie.’ Upper echelon Disney-ites, going, ‘What’s wrong with him? ‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Gets Daughter Back Posted: 30 Nov 2010 09:48 AM PST After being investigated by CPS, they’d decided to take “Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood’s daughter Leah away from her. We can report that she has been given custody back of her daughter, after making changes in her home. CPS has determined that Amber’s home is now a suitable place for the tot and have relinquished custody back to the reality TV star. On Monday, authorities reunited Amber and Leah and a source said, “Leah is moving into Amber’s new home, where Amber had her daughter’s bedroom all set up for her return. Amber is so excited to have Leah back!” Just a week ago, it was reported that Leah was made a ward of the state of Indiana, meaning that her guardianship would be determined by a judge and overseen by Child Protective Services. Amber and her ex-fiancee Gary Shirley had agreed that Leah was better off living with him for the time being. Amber said, “Child Protective Services agreed it was safer for her to stay at Gary’s because of all the photographers outside my house.” Amber is still battling domestic violence charges after flying off into a rage against Gary. Kim Kardashian Debit Card A Total Rip-off Posted: 30 Nov 2010 09:38 AM PST Just three weeks ago, the Kardashian sisters came out with their new debit card, the Kardashian Kard, which was aimed at supposedly teaching teens how to save money and be more financially responsible. Yeah, good luck with that one. Apparently I wasn’t the only one that was skeptical about the intentions of the Kardashians. After the Attorney General busted a cap on their ginormous butts, they have decided to call it quits with the card. The family has sent a notice of termination to the companies behind the Mastercard, saying that they’re sick of the negative spotlight in regard to the card. The Attorney General of Connecticut called them out after investigating the hidden fees of the card and was determining if the card violated consumer protection laws. To own the card, the consumer had to fork over $9.95, a monthly fee of $7.95 and a fee of $1.50 every time someone adds money to use it. “Daily Fill” has more: You even have to pay extra to deposit funds to the card, and to add insult to injury, there’s also an ATM withdrawal fee (in addition to regular ATM charges of course). And if you get tired of the card, it costs $6 to close it. Of course if you don't close the "Kard", it costs $7.95 per month to keep it open, so maybe it's just better to cut your losses, if you somehow were enticed into getting one of these. The Kardashian’s lawyer, stated, “The Kardashians have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona that appeals to everyone, particularly young adults.” They went on to say that the investigation “threatens everything for which they have worked” so they have decided to “terminate the agreement….effective immediately.” You know what I think happened? I think they finally caught on to the fact that they couldn’t swindle the masses with this ridiculous card. It was insane for them to think they could hose people on such a grand scale. Lindsay Lohan Seeks Restraining Order Against Paparazzi Posted: 30 Nov 2010 08:47 AM PST Lindsay Lohan was recently given her driving privileges back by the Betty Ford Center, but apparently she’s still not allowed to take the wheel! Ugh, that’s got to suck! Lindsay has asked her attorney to get a restraining order prohibiting the paparazzi from chasing her down everywhere she goes. After getting the green light from Betty Ford and the L.A. County Probation Department, her driving has been axed, because the paparazzi were causing unsafe driving conditions for the actress. Lindsay emailed her attorney over the weekend, showing photos of the snappers on her tail. She has asked her lawyer to go to court to secure a restraining order against them. We’re not sure if Lindsay will be able to get a restraining order against the entire population of photographers, but it’s worth a try! What do you think? Is it reasonable to assume that Lindsay will be given the keys to take the wheel once she keeps the photographers from tailing her? Or is that far-fetched? Justin Timberlake Gives Justin Bieber Dating Advice Posted: 30 Nov 2010 08:28 AM PST It’s hard to think that Justin Bieber would need to ask anyone for advice on dating, but according to reports, the teen singer hit up Justin Timberlake for advice on girls! Who knew?!? The kid has millions of screaming girls at any given moment, so what’s the problem? Reportedly, Justin reached out to JT for dating advice, because he said he feels awkward and intimidated around girls he really likes. Justin told the teen, “Don’t allow yourself to get tied down. Don’t make promises you have no intention of keeping and NEVER hide information on your SmartPhone you don’t want a girl to see – because she’ll find it every time!” Uh oh. It sounds like Justin is giving the Biebz advice on how to be a player! Maybe Jessica Biel should start checkin’ up on JT? It sounds like he knows the ins and outs of how to keep things on the down-low! I wonder who the Biebz is trying to impress? It’s not like he’ll have a hard time finding a girl, right? Robert Pattinson Got Carried Away Kissing Kristen Stewart Posted: 30 Nov 2010 08:15 AM PST Robert Pattinson admits that even though he and Kristen Stewart are surrounded by tons of people and cameras during the filming of “Breaking Dawn”, that during their kissing scenes, he gets carried away. Rob and Kristen are heating up the screen with their real life and on-screen romance! During their erotic sex scenes, Rob can’t keep himself on a professional level. In a recent interview, he said, “When we start the kissing scenes I forget we’re surrounded by a load of people. I actually end up getting really carried away.” He went on to reveal, “It’s only when the kiss is finished that my mind registers there’s actually a full set of people around, and I just walk away embarrassed.” Too funny! It’s good that he’s so into the part! He even said that when the work day is done, he still takes Kristen to bed with him, in his dreams. He admitted that he dreamt about Kristen the night before the interview took place. How cute is that? I can’t wait to see this movie already!
