The weather should be glorious so head over to see different surf competitions, BMX events, and more. Make sure to stop by the music stage to see Jimmy Eat World and MGMT too. Tomorrow celebrity judges Jonathan Gold, James Kyson Lee and Simon Majumdar will gather to judge the highly anticipated KBBQ Top Grill Master competition. | Taylor Swift Covers Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ (Video) Posted: 05 Aug 2011 11:41 AM PDT Taylor Swift has been paying tribute to hometown stars as she traverses North America on her “Speak Now” tour. So when she rolled into Grand Rapids, Michigan in late July, she opted to show off her rhyming skills and cover Eminem’s Lose Yourself.  Swift has covered Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi in Jersey and Alanis Morissette and Justin Bieber in Toronto. Think Taylor can rap? |
| Lady Gaga Sued For Copyright Over ‘Judas’ (Video) Posted: 05 Aug 2011 11:09 AM PDT Lady Gaga is being sued by a Chicago-based musician, Rebecca F. & The Memes, for copyright infringement. She claims that Gaga, with help from a sound engineer that worked with both performers, borrowed a bit too much inspiration from her own song titled “Juda.”  In her lawsuit [see court documents], the musician, Rebecca Francescatti, names Gaga, along with Interscope Records, Universal Music Group, DJ White Shadow and sound engineer Brian Joseph Gaynor as participants in creating the single “Judas,” a song which bares “a substantial similarity” to “Juda” because Gaga allegedly “copied and incorporated substantial, original portions” of the work, though it was previously copyrighted and recorded with Gaynor. Francescatti is now seeking a cut from the profits “Judas” has earned. Listen to Francescatti’s “Juda” HERE. I don’t think the songs sound anything alike, do you? |
| Nicki Minaj’s Good Morning America Nipple Slip (Photo) Posted: 05 Aug 2011 07:30 AM PDT The one and only Nicki Minaj performed a mini-concert for Good Morning America's summer concert series today and she brought a surprise. While sporting a big blonde wig and plastic tutu, Minaj accidentally exposed her left nipple during her performance of David Guetta's new song 'Where Them Girls At.'  [NSFW photo HERE] Apparently, there wasn't enough boob tape in the world to keep Nicki from popping out of that low cut top. Although the East coast got the chance to see the wardrobe malfunction, us on the West coast won't be so lucky because surely GMA will be editing that part out. Minaj's full set (musically that is) included 'Where Them Girls At,' 'Moment 4 Life' and 'SuperBass.' Watch the performance below… |
