She kept it simple and sweet by paring it with some platform heels. Rihanna rocked the same coat, but toughened up the look with some boots that gave a nod to military chic.

| OctoMom Allows PETA Insults For Cash & Free Food Posted: 19 May 2010 05:05 PM PDT OctoMom Nadya Suleman has just become the poster child for stupidity. Apparently, she allowed PETA to take pictures of herself in front of a banner that was just erected on her home.  In the ad touting spaying and neutering, it reads: “Don’t let your dog or cat become an ‘OctoMom’. Always spay or neuter.” The total amount she was paid for this advertisement? $5,000, plus a month’s worth of veggie burgers and hot dogs. The total amount for the dignity she lost doing this spot? Priceless. I guess a woman’s gotta pay their mortgage. But all of this hoopla just begs the question…Where was PETA when this crazy broad was fertilized?!?? Seriously, this was the best spokesperson they could get for this campaign? I’m wondering why they coughed up so much dough for a sign that sits on a property in a private neighborhood anyways. | Miley Cyrus’ Jewelry Line Yanked From Walmart Posted: 19 May 2010 03:48 PM PDT Miley Cyrus’ Walmart jewelry line has been yanked from stores, after it was found that the pieces had cadmium in them. Cadmium is safe to wear, yet if a person or child decides to suck on it, swallow it or bite it, it could cause major health concerns.  Walmart knew that the product contained high levels of the toxic chemical, yet sold her line anyways.
The AP purchased 61 products as samples in their tests and found that 59 of them contained as much as five percent of cadmium. Walmart’s statement said that the jewelry was “designed for and marketed to older audiences” and was “not intended for children.” As for why they pulled the product, they said it was “while we investigate its compliance with our children’s jewelry standard.” Likely story. | Posted: 19 May 2010 11:40 AM PDT When she’s not out showing her crotch to the planet, Lindsay Lohan is coming up with excuse after excuse as to why she can’t be in the States for her court appearance.  Mind you, the judge said it was a mandatory appearance and failure to show could result in her arrest. Lindsay was completely aware of the appearance and yet flew off to Cannes anyways, saying, “I’m in compliance, blah blah blah”. Then, Lindsay sniffed out a good excuse for drugging it up longer in the French hot spot, by saying that she was trapped there by the volcano. Prosecutors in her case then threatened to throw the book at her. Now, she has come up with the best excuse ever: Passport issues! Why didn’t she think of that before?!?? She’s now claiming that someone has jacked her passport, but she really, really, REALLY wants to leave Cannes in time for her court date. Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said, “I was on the phone with Lindsay’s assistant the entire night and we’re doing everything we can to resolve this issue and get her back to L.A. Lindsay is distraught because it was her intention to get back to L.A. today to do more alcohol education classes and appear in court tomorrow.” Sure it was! | American Idol: And Then There Were 3 Posted: 19 May 2010 09:49 AM PDT The final 3 contestants are left to battle it out for the title of American Idol. This week the contestants got to go home to be praised and adored by their communities. During their return home, the judges texted their song choices for the contestants to sing this week, along with an additional tune chosen by the contestants.
Kara DioSTFU and Randy Jackson worked together to chose John Mayer’s "Daughters" song for Casey James. (I am guessing Randy drew the short straw.) Simon Cowell picked Leonard Cohen's version of "Hallellujah" for Lee Dewyze. This was head smacking for me as Tim Urban sang it earlier this year and the tune is losing its sacred appeal for me. Many, many other artists have taken this song and made their own. Give it a rest.
Ellen picked a Paul McCartney tune for Crystal. "Maybe I'm Amazed" gave her a chance to get rid of the guitar and show diversity. The sitting on the stairs thing was a bit corny, but for Idol it works. The performance received a standing ovation from most. Bowersox's choices in song was "Come to My Window" by Melissa Etheridge. She brought the guitar back and strapped a harmonica to her neck and belted it out. There wasn't much change to it, but I think it's who she is.
Lee Dewyze sang "Hallelujah" after Simon was trying to give him a song to "have a moment." I may not have agreed with song choice and Lee is a bit Danny Gokey for me, but this defiantly a moment for him.
Simon was left smiling, the crowd was standing and cheering and Randy was fighting to give his critique. All four judges agreed that he delivered. It's going to be no surprise that Crystal and Lee will be the last two standing. His personal song choice was "Simple Man." I am a huge Lynyrd Skynyrd fan and I was a bit wary when I heard he was tackling one the best songs. Again, there wasn't much interpretation, but it was good for Lee and his persona.
Casey James, hate to say it, but it really doesn't bode well when he has struggled on and off through the season. He managed to dethrone Big Mike last week, but I doubt his work tonight will be even close to being able to shake Crystal or Lee.
I think the fact that everyone mentioned the words "no climax" sums it up.
Putting him up first was not good for as his performance was buried thanks to be so cruise ship after dinner performance. Good bye Casey. Hello FINAL TWO! |
