| Posted: 12 Feb 2010 05:12 PM PST One of the world’s most recognizable landmarks — the giant Hollywood sign in Los Angeles — was undergoing a facelift Thursday as activists ramped up a campaign to preserve the iconic symbol.  An environmental group bidding to raise around 12.5 million dollars to purchase a 138-acre (55-hectare) parcel of rugged land surrounding the sign had begun draping bright red letters over the popular tourist attraction, so that the slogan “SAVE THE PEAK” becomes visible for miles around the sprawling Californian city. The sign was created as an advertisement in 1923, and is owned by the city of Los Angeles. However the mountainous land surrounding the famous white letters is owned by a Chicago-based consortium who have acquired rights to build four luxury mansions along the ridgeline. My thoughts? Don’t touch the sign, not now, not ever! Don’t be greedy and build homes around it, it’s a freakin LANDMARK! The sign belongs right where it is — and it’s our duty to preserve it. | Jersey Shore’s Snooki Nude Photo Released - Photo Posted: 12 Feb 2010 03:11 PM PST Snooki from “Jersey Shore” really wanted us all to believe that she hadn’t taken any nude photos, but a new website has popped up featuring the reality star wearing nothing but a smile.  “RadarOnline” started the rumors of a nude photo scandal at the beginning of the month, saying that they saw the photos. What’s even scarier is that there’s other photos out there that don’t leave anything to the imagination. And there’s the possibility of video, too. Ugh. Snooks says no such thing exists, tweeting, “Like i said before about my supposed ’sex tape’…There are no nude pictures nor will there ever be. the tabloids just love snook gossip ;]” Sure they do, Snook. That’s why this prankster took your Twitter quote and ran with it. Do you think that’s really her? She looks like she would be chunkier than this. Amy Adams sported her glowing smile at lunch on Wednesday. The adorable Amy and her fiancé, Darren Le Gallo, enjoyed lunch with some friends. She wasn't shy with the hot sauce as she covered her Café Vida nosh in it. She is due this spring and has her work cut out for her. She will be reprising her role in the Disney Enchanted sequel.
