Posted: 02 Feb 2010 01:34 PM PST Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy’s widower, is cashing in on his late wife by holding a benefit for the foundation that he and mother, Sharon have thought up. The Brittany Murphy Foundation is said to be benefiting arts education for children, but with ticket prices like these, it’s unlikely that many will show up. He’s rumored to have set the price at $1,000 for individuals and $10,000 for corporations to attend the event on Thursday. The event takes place at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills and he’s charging an arm and a leg for the three-hour event. A source said, “Everyone thinks it’s very tacky that he is making it so much about money.” Tacky indeed. It’s so tacky that he’s doing this before the coroner’s office comes back with the toxicology reports. Her mother wrote a heartfelt letter on the website: Thank you so much for visiting the Brittany Murphy Foundation. My daughter was a passionate and loving person who lived to help people, especially children, and was extremely dedicated to the arts. She lived a great life and brought sunshine every where she went. We’ve created this foundation in her honor to keep her dreams alive; to enrich children’s lives through art, to support the USO and fund cancer research. I, myself, am a cancer survivor and Brittany was always by my side, even if it meant putting her career on hold to be there for me. We were very grateful for the care I received and always wanted to further contribute to cancer research to help others. If she were the only one helming this project, it wouldn’t seem so desperate. What do you think? Will you attend? source: Monjack Seeking $1,000 Donations to Attend Brittany Murphy Event - [us weekly] |
Posted: 02 Feb 2010 11:58 AM PST Reportedly, Gerard Butler is the go-to guy for whenever you’re on the rebound from your hot ex. Enter Reese Witherspoon. She and Jake Gyllenhaal broke up in December 2009 and it’s rumored to be time for her to get some Gerry lovin’. “Star” magazine reports in their upcoming print issue that Reese has been sexing up Gerry, after her split from Jake. Lainey Gossip reports: Please God, if only it were true. It's not, obviously, considering the source, but can you imagine? Upon hearing of Star's latest f-ckery, Duana hilariously just wrote: "I mean, is Gerard Butler just on standby for when you need to appear not frigid?"She’s too sweet to be with him. He would chew her up and spit her out. What do you think? source: Sweetheart and the Spittle - [lainey gossip] |
Posted: 02 Feb 2010 10:44 AM PST According to “RadarOnline”, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi took some pretty nast-ay photos of herself that are currently being shopped around. So now that’s not only one, but two of the “Jersey Shore” chicks that are shopping around nekkid pics. JWoww’s photos were leaked less than a week ago. Radar describes the Snooki pictures as: The stills and video leave nothing to the imagination, as she is wearing only a smile. In one photo she is in her bedroom, on her knees, with one hand on the ground and the other holding the rail of the bed frame. She is looking at the camera with her head tilted slightly. Her spot-it-anywhere fingernail polish is plainly visible. Another shot is too graphic to describe.Yeah, but is the wanna-be beehive there? And her trademark pucker? Are you shocked that these reality skanks have unleashed this eye bleach inducing madness onto the planet? source: EXCLUSIVE: Snooki Nude Photos For Sale - [radar online] |
Posted: 02 Feb 2010 08:48 AM PST Madonna has moved on from robbing the manger of its baby Jesus. While it’s true that Madonna and Jesus Luz, her boytoy of the past year, have gone their separate ways — it not only was totally amicable, but it was Luz who initiated the split. Apparently, the 23-year-old Brazilian realized their age difference (she’s 51) and overall lack of mutual interests nixed a long-term relationship. It also gives me a case of the giggles that this was Sun Times second string story. Above the brief mention of the breakup of Madge and Jesus was the story of Tiger Woods and his wifey attempting to go on a cruise together. What Others Said: LA Mag Rag – "I bet somewhere Madonna's trying to think of ways of converting, she's been with him so long we've seen his ween."[Sun Times] |
