Posted: 05 Feb 2010 05:43 PM PST Rumor has it that Shock Jock Howard Stern has been tapped to replace Mr. Nasty, Simon Cowell on “American Idol”. Call us crazy, but I think they might just have something there.  It was said earlier this year that Simon would be exiting stage left to jump on the “X Factor” bandwagon, so that leaves us without a resident Idol bad guy. An “Idol” source said, “It’s one of the few shows that could compete with Stern’s $100-million-a-year Sirius contract, and ‘Idol’ bosses think he’d be even nastier than Simon.” Howard may not like jumping around to listen to people audition for the singing competition, though. On his radio show, he said, “I was approached by a major TV network to take over a show and leave here and do that next year — and I did turn it down… I’m not even sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens.” The “Idol” source added, “They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. ‘Idol’ will do what it takes to sign him.” A source close to Howard said that “this is a ploy to make Sirius pay up and keep him on his huge contract. But if Sirius can’t pay him the money he wants, he may negotiate to film ‘Idol’ on the side.” What do you think? Posted: 05 Feb 2010 11:13 AM PST Kristen Stewart kindly posed with a security guard after doing jury duty earlier this week. After the fan’s wife posted the photo on the internet, it spread like wildfire.  Now, the court worker faces losing his job because the courts have strict rules on photographing celebrities when they are doing their civic duty. The guard’s wife removed the photo (above) and said, “Cancelled because unfortunately the photo that went up from Kristen in court was stolen and put on several blogs and got to the media (the press) and reached the ears of the court. Right now my husband and the security guard are in trouble for it having gone up and second because it is confidential when celebrities are in court.” Kristen hopes that the pic won’t get the guys in trouble. She tweeted, "beautiful photo taken of me the moment I found out i won my grammys. All the hundreds of songs I wrote, the thousands of shows, the fans, all the blood and tears flashing instantly. photo by haus member the famous "Dada" Williams." In other Gaga related news, some are saying the pop singer snubbed an appearance on the new “We Are The World” song, dedicated to the people affected by the Haiti earthquake. In response, she said, “I’ve actually been in rehearsal for my new tour, but I was never supposed to do ‘We Are the World.’ So that’s a rumor. I believe that they may have asked, yes, about it, but I was unable to do it.” But don’t think that she hasn’t done her part to help Haiti. She added, “I’ve been working on my own charity projects for Haiti. Today, he has responded to the the soul food dish inspired feud. In the video below, he says that it was a “joke taken too far” and joked that he’d be “packing a lunch for the next two years.” You would think, in this day and age that major corporations would be more sensitive. I believe that it was racially offensive and they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it. This isn’t the 1950’s, people. Posted: 05 Feb 2010 10:04 AM PST For once, the cops were called to Charlie Sheen’s house and he didn’t leave in handcuffs. Charlie apparently left the keys in his Mercedes SUV in an his open garage last night. Someone helped themselves to taking off in the SUV and crashing it off of a cliff.  He parked the SUV in his garage at around 8:30 PM last night. At around 4:00 AM, an OnStar-like company called Charlie to report that his vehicle had been in an accident. He woke up, saw that the SUV was missing and called the cops. KTLA found the missing Mercedes crashed 400 feet below Mullholland Drive this morning. They found no crash victims, which leads me to believe that someone had a little bit of a joyride and pushed the vehicle off the cliff. "She was sitting on John's lap, her arms were around him, and she was talking in his ear," says the source. "They were acting like teenagers."The odd couple has been rumored to be dating and spending a lot of alone time together. They dined together in Nashville in late January. They followed that with a hook up after John's performance a few days later. To throw off the scent, she had a flirtatious dinner with "Glee" cast member, Cory Monteith. According to Hollywood Life, Cory was "just a decoy." "Taylor and John are absolutely more than 'just friends'", a source close to the 20-year-old Grammy winner tells Hollywood Life exclusively of her relationship with the 32-year-old crooner. "They aren't 'boyfriend and girlfriend' or anything as provincial as that, but they have taken their friendship to the next level."This is giving me a case of the ickys.
