Taylor Swift’s Bachelorette Pad - Photos Posted: 09 Feb 2010 07:50 PM PST Taylor Swift’s dirty feet welcome you to her nice lofty bachelorette pad. They really didn’t notice her dirty feet?! No matter what you think of Taylor, she sure is raking in the dough. So much that she can afford to live in style, even if it’s a strange one. The “Fearless” starlet just dropped $2 million on a swanky 4,062-square-foot penthouse in Nashville, Tennessee.
When she winds down her tour in June, she plans to decorate the place in a “quirky, whimsical style.” She explains, “It’s going to be my fantasy world. The ceiling of my living room is painted like the night sky. There’s a pond in the living room … The pond is a moat around the fireplace and may possibly have koi fish in it. You step on a stepping stone in the pond in order to get on a spiral staircase, which takes you up to the human-sized bird cage observatory. They’re delivering a human-size birdcage, which I’ll put a brass telescope in.” Did I mention it’s strange? But, hey, if you can afford that, you go right on ahead. And what is up with that human-size birdcage idea? I think the place looks nice and swanky as it is, no need to mess it up with your weirdness. Bradley Cooper’s Tanning Disaster Posted: 09 Feb 2010 06:52 PM PST Bradley Cooper attended the premiere of Valentine’s Day with the likes of Jessica Alba, Julia Roberts and Demi Moore last night — but all eyes were on his face. The 35-year-old appeared to be suffering from a fake tan malfunction, with only about 2/3rds of his face appearing bronzed. The horror! The actor arrived alone on the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, disappointing fans who were hoping to see his first public outing with new girlfriend Renee Zellweger. source: Renee Zellweger’s boyfriend Bradley Cooper suffers a tanning disaster on the red carpet [daily mail] |
Tom Cruise To Return In ‘Mission Impossible 4′ Posted: 09 Feb 2010 04:48 PM PST Since “Valkyrie” went over so well, and nevermind the previous “Mission Impossible” movies, we’ve just heard that Tom Cruise is reprising his role as Ethan Hunt in the franchise. “Deadline Hollywood” broke the news earlier today:
They will begin shooting this summer, for a planned Memorial Day 2011 release. At least they’re bringing back J.J. Abrams. Will you go see this in the theater? Update: Tom Cruise has just issued a press release regarding the movie. He confirms what we already know. Way to go Tom, only five hours too late. source: It’s A Deal: Tom Cruise In ‘MI4′ For Paramount - [deadline hollywood] |
Beyonce To Rescue Lady Gaga In Their ‘Telephone’ Video Posted: 09 Feb 2010 12:49 PM PST In Beyonce and Lady Gaga’s video for “Telephone”, Bey will reportedly rescue Gaga in the continuation of Gaga’s “Paparazzi” video. “Telephone” is just the opposite of “Paparazzi”, though. In that it’s not about getting a man to love you, it’s about getting your man to leave you alone so you can dance and get drunk in the club. The concept of this video involves Beyonce rescuing an imprisoned Gaga. The two divas are said to be wearing “destroyed denim pieces” by Franc Fernandez and Oscar Olima. Reportedly, Beyonce is not going to dance in the video, either. That seems weird enough, but Gaga did her version of Bey for “Videophone”, so Bey is taking the lead from Gaga here. According to MTV:
I can’t wait until the video makes its debut already. I love this song. source: Beyoncé Will Reportedly Rescue Lady Gaga in 'Telephone' Video, Clad in Destroyed Denim - [ny mag] |
Kevin Federline As K-Fat For ‘Celebrity Fit Club’ - Photos Posted: 09 Feb 2010 10:52 AM PST Holy mother of fat rolls, Batman! Kevin Federline was not kidding when he said he needed to lose some weight. This boy could stand to lose an Olsen twin and still be alright. K-Fed showed off the poundage on the premiere of “Celebrity Fit Club” as he modeled the bulge in camouflage shorts. The poses that he makes are the funniest. Like he could pass a football? It looks like the only thing he’s been passing is the mashed potatoes at dinner time. Other C and D-list rejects include Kaycee Stroh from “High School Musical”, Sebastian Bach formerly of Skid Row, Project Runway’s Jay McCarroll, Nicole Eggert, Tanisha Thomas from “The Bad Girls Club”, Bobby Brown and Shar Jackson. This d-list bonanza airs on VH1 on Mondays at 9pm EST. source: Open Post: Hosted By KFat - [dlisted] |
Hugh Grant ‘Shaves the Day’ - It’s Time to Leap Anywhere! Posted: 09 Feb 2010 09:42 AM PST Leap Anywhere founder, Malcolm Scovils, grew a moustache to raise money for Prostate Cancer research. To raise more awareness, he walked around London, trying to get someone else to shave it off — it took six days! After 500 people said “NO” and thousands more just walked past, Malcolm decided to ask Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker, while on the red carpet for their new movie, “Did You Hear About The Morgans?” Their reactions will surprise you! Sam Elliott for the win! Who is Leap Anywhere? Malcolm Scovils decided one day, that he wanted to volunteer and “do good.” He quickly discovered that most charity organizations, made volunteering as difficult as possible (background checks, orientation, lengthy commitments). He said, “Within a week I was hooked on one question: Why is it so hard to do good?” His aim? Come up with a better way to do good. More fun. More simple. Less about the money. More about the 'what’s in it for me?’ and the 'why should I care?’ Get involved: Leap Anywhere.com Read the rest of this wonderful story after the jump!
The sofa I was sitting on my sofa one day last summer. It was one of those days where the routine feels a little too routine. I’d recently stumbled across a book about the link between the act of giving and happiness. A question came to mind. Can life be pretty good but have something seriously big missing? That’s exactly how I felt. Laptop in lap, I googled 'volunteer’. There were pages of results. I thought I’d found what I was looking for. After searching around 7-8 charity websites, it was clear all of them required speaking to someone at the charity to inquire about volunteering. So I did. I was pretty excited. I called 3 of them right then and there. First call First call: Very nice lady answers the phone. I say hello and ask about volunteering opportunities and she puts me through to someone else. Another very nice lady. She says I’ll have to fill out a criminal record bureau (CRB) check to do any work with their charity and that would take between 6-8 weeks to complete. I was itching to do something that weekend. “Sorry Sir, it doesn’t work like that.” So I said something like “Sounds great, thank you very much I’ll get back in touch if I don’t find anything else”. Second call On to the next. A very nice lady answers. She explains they have a volunteer program and participants need to make a commitment for 6 months, after completing a 2-day orientation course. Is that something I would be able to do, she asked. Sounds exciting, but nothing simple this week or this weekend? No, I’m afraid not. Third call And onto the third. Again, a nice lady answers the phone. Yes, we do have an volunteer program. It’s in Kenya for 4 months and you stay on a farm and work with families teaching in a local school. Wow, that sounds amazing I thought. Unfortunately I was working full-time and my boss wouldn’t have agreed with my Wow. How about something simple this weekend, I ask. No, sorry sir. Just the full-time program. I remember half-smiling, saying thanks and sitting there on the sofa. The next day I told some good friends about my failed attempts to do good. Turned out a few of them had very similar experiences. My curiosity was sparked. I started asking people at work, in the pub, on the tube, everywhere. Within a week I was hooked on one question: Why is it so hard to do good? Friends got involved. We did a questionnaire with over 500 people in Hyde Park, talking for hours in the pub and thinking about the logistical, psychological and other barriers to doing good. The barriers It was clear: people wanted to help charities but the large majority didn’t know what to do, were very turned off by criminal record bureau checks and didn’t have time to go to Africa for 4 months. Some others said, 'what’s in it for me?’ or ‘why should I bother?’ We found some people who had amazingly positive experiences and getting involved in a charity had changed life. Unfortunately they were the exception. Most people’s attitudes towards charity and volunteering was far from positive. People were turned off by the bucket collectors in streets, depressing negative advertising on television and phone calls from solicitors working on behalf of charities to raise money. Time to get off the sofa It seemed like there was something that could be done there. After months of thinking, talking and a kick in the butt from some very good friends, that was it. I left my job and we launched LeapAnywhere in June 2009. The aim: Come up with a better way to do good. More fun. More simple. Less about the money. Fashion Face Off – Beyonce VS. Dita Von Teese Posted: 09 Feb 2010 08:17 AM PST
Both curvaceous women wore the gorgeous blue frock and looked gorgeous. So this will be a tough one. Beyonce wore the Elie Saab for her appearance on David Letterman’s Late Show and added some bangles and peep toes. Dita Von Teese wore the creation to the designer's show in late January.

Madonna Pre-Photoshopped Louis Vuitton Ad Posted: 09 Feb 2010 08:03 AM PST
I am all for the grace of women with age and experience being the face of fashion and beauty campaigns. However, this Louis Vuitton ad before the magic ofphotoshop was something that nightmares are made of. Of course this isn't the first time we have seen Madge's Thundercats scary arms in their un-photoshopped glory. Images from her Hard Candy album, W magazine shoot and various other images are lurking all over the net. After the first leak of the pre-airbrushed images Madonna was reportedly furious. No one wants to age let alone have their insecurities spread over the net. So the question as to who is pumping these images out into the world is now being asked. To me the real question should be WTF is on her head? [Click Thumbnails for a Larger Image]
