Scarlett Johansson’s Mom: ‘I’m Broke!’

Scarlett Johansson‘s mom Melanie Sloan backed out of a deal to purchase an apartment in Manhattan claiming she was cash-poor.

Sloan filed a lawsuit against the owners of the apartment to try to get back the $130,000 down payment she put on the place.

Apparently, there was a stipulation in the contract that would allow Sloan to back out of the deal if she was unable to secure a mortgage for the remaining $1.27 million.

The deal states that if the mortgage was not secured before a specific date, that her down payment was to be returned to her.

ScarJo’s former mom-ager got canned by her daughter in 2009 presumably because momma bear wasn’t a big enough fish to further the actress’ career. As a result, mom’s income plummeted.

The sellers are calling B.S. and refusing to issue the refund.

But it was only because momma bear seemed wealthy on paper that the provision was even put into the contract.

The sellers are convinced they are being conned, because really, how does one go from being loaded to be broke within two weeks?

Sloan is also seeking an additional $20,000 is attorney fees.

Why would you try to buy property if you’re broke? I just don’t understand people sometimes…

Jason Segel Takes Fan To Award Show (Photo)

You know, I’ve always liked comedic actor Jason Segel. He was astoundingly funny in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and is absolutely brilliant as Marshall Eriksen on How I Met Your Mother. But this… this puts my fandom for him over the top.

Indiana University student, Chelsea Gill wrote an inspired song to the actor asking him to have a drink with her; “Have a drink with me, oh Mr. Segel can’t you see I’m trying so hard to impress. You’re so f*cking hot but I digress”.

Of course, after seeing the video, and raving about it on his twitter page, the actor replied by having the lovely young Miss Gill and her twin sister escort him to the Chicago Film Critics Association awards in Illinois on Saturday.

Yeah, that’s right. The lucky girl got a date out of it! Gotta say though, for as jealous as I am, she TOTALLY deserved it. That song was fantastic, pure genius!

And what an awesome dude Mr. Segel has proven himself to be. WOW. Just WOW.

Oh, and Jason… congrats on your wins last night, they were well deserved.

Oh… and Jason, even though I’m married with children… I’d totally be up for going out on a date.

Snooki Wants To ‘Rape’ Lady Gaga

Snooki has announced on Twitter, she wants to RAPE Lady Gaga.

Snooki said, “Is @ladygaga in la? Cuz I’d like to rape her before I leave. K thanks”

I’m certain she wants a piece of that.

The reality star also got a new tattoo, posting the above photo saying, “Lmao Ew! I’m scared for my tattoo! I’m such a little bitch sometimes.”

The Season 5 of Jersey Shore premiered last Thursday.

A total of 7.6 million viewers tuned in to watch the gang return to Seaside, down 14 percent from the summer premiere where the cast went to Italy.

Are we finally getting sick of these kids?

Katy Perry Talks About Divorce From Russell Brand

Katy Perry thanked fans for their support and insisted they shouldn’t believe everything that’s written about the former couple in the press.

Brand filed for divorce from Perry in December, citing irreconcilable differences for the split.

“I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again,” Perry wrote on Twitter.

She continued, “Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, “close sources” or my family.”

Perry, who wanted Brand to be the one to file for divorce due to her religious parents, is said to be writing new songs about the split.

Brand admitted just days before the split that he missed his promiscuous past and it has since been claimed that he is hoping for a happier 2012.

Katy will be making her first public appearance since her split at the 2012 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday.

Beyonce Gave Birth To A Baby Girl!

Beyonce has given birth to a daughter.

E! reports the baby arrived via scheduled C-section, and that Jay-Z is telling friends her name is Blue Ivy Carter.

This is the couple’s first child.

To keep their privacy, the hospital’s windows and surveillance cameras were blacked out and employees of the hospital reportedly had to turn in their cell phones before starting their shifts.

As news spread about the couple’s new addition to their family, fans tweeted their congratulations including the couple’s closest celebrity friends, who couldn’t wait to share the good news.

“Welcome to the world princess Carter!” singer and pal of the couple Rihanna tweeted. “Love Aunty Rih.”

Russell Simmons also had good wishes for the new parents: “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z,” he tweeted.
