American Music Awards (2011) – Winners List (Complete) Posted: 20 Nov 2011 10:00 PM PST The 2011 American Music Awards (AMA’s) was held at the Nokia Theatre Live on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles. Taylor Swift walked away with the most awards, including the night’s top honor of Artist of the Year. She also won Favorite Country Female Artist and her “Speak Now” album won Favorite Country Album. Adele, whose most recent album “21,” is the best-selling album of the year in the United States, received the most nominations. The 23-year-old singer is up for artist of the year, favorite female artist, favorite album and favorite adult contemporary artist.Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift picked up the first trophies of the night, The complete list of winners, after the jump! Egyptian Blogger Posts Nude Photo, Causes Outrage (See Photo) Posted: 20 Nov 2011 07:41 PM PST Aliaa Magda Elmahdy, a blogger in Egypt has become a household name in the Middle East, but not for blogging, for posting a nude photo on Twitter. The photo, which the 20-year-old former student first posted on her blog, shows her naked apart from a pair of thigh-high stockings and some red patent leather shoes. Elmahdy includes the caption “[the photo] screams against a society of violence, racism, sexism, sexual harassment and hypocrisy.” Needless to say, she became a Twitter trend under the hashtag #nudephotorevolutionary. Her actions have received global media coverage and provoked outrage in Egypt, a conservative Muslim country where most women wear the veil. Many liberals fear that Elmahdy’s actions will hurt their prospects in the parliamentary election next week. The 20-year-old activist gave CNN an exclusive interview about the motivation behind the nude photographs and her continued fight for freedom. Why did you post a photo of yourself nude photo on Twitter, and why the red high heels and black stockings? “After my photo was removed from Facebook, a male friend of mine asked me if he may post it on Twitter. I accepted because I am not shy of being a woman in a society where women are nothing but sex objects harassed on a daily basis by men who know nothing about sex or the importance of a woman. The photo is an expression of my being and I see the human body as the best artistic representation of that. I took the photo myself using a timer on my personal camera. Lady Gaga’s Dad Gets 50% Of Her Money Posted: 20 Nov 2011 07:27 PM PST From the frequency and tone with which she speaks of her father, it is blatantly obvious how much Lady Gaga adores her dad. He was the reason she quit using cocaine, he has been the inspiration for her music, he’s been the center of her world since she was born. I guess that’s why Lady Gaga sees fit to pay her father a whopping 50% of all her earnings. If you ask me, a fabulous way to say ‘thanks Dad’. She also got him hooked up with a gig in the industry managing up and coming artists, a live long dream of Joe Germanotta. A nice normal Catholic girl at heart, Gaga lives with her family in Manhattan. The New York Post has the story: "There's really no justifiable sense to doing a 50/50 deal with anyone in your career, other than someone you're partners in a band with," says Josh Grier, an entertainment lawyer who represents Wilco and Elvis Costello, among others. "Certainly no artist entering a management deal does anything close to that — a commission is usually 15 to 20 percent." That said, it's quite possible that Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, believes her father has earned his share of her fortune, even though her success has allowed him to realize a lifelong dream: He now works in the industry, managing aspiring artists. Yet she likely sees this as further evidence of how similar they are; her adoration is unconditional. In January 2010, she told Elle magazine, "I'm married to my dad," and that September, she told Vanity Fair, "I'm happier than I've ever been. I've been in my father's arms for two weeks, wishing [him] a Happy Father's Day." In the majority of her interviews, her father is — aside from herself — the most dominant character. Though Gaga has given alternate versions of her decision to quit using cocaine in 2007, in the most consistent one is Joe Germanotta coolly assessed his daughter's downward trajectory with one devastating line: "He looked at me one day and said, 'You're f–kin' up, kid,' " she said. Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Divorce Will Get Messy Posted: 20 Nov 2011 06:37 PM PST Ashton Kutcher has been caught with his proverbial hands in the cookie jar a few too many times, and soon to be ex-wife Demi Moore is out to teach the youngster a very expensive lesson. Rumors began last year when women were ‘fessing up’ to having had a sexual relationship with the Two and a Half Men star. Even though the couple denied any problems within their relationship, the rumors persisted. The latest woman to own up to having slept with Kutcher – Sara Leal, a 23-year-old Texan blonde – has put the final nail in the coffin of their doomed coupling. Images of Kutcher and Leal getting intimate in a hot tub after being extremely wasted surfaced, and the little douche could no longer hide his cheating ways. Demi filed for divorce officially last week, and according to the UK’s Daily Mail, Demi wants to take a HUGE chunk out of Ashton’s bank account. The soon-to-be former @MrsKutcher had a prenuptial agreement drawn up when the couple married 6 years ago. She did so to protect her assets since he wasn’t as well known and loaded as her. But apparently, she doesn’t care if she actually GETS anything outta him, so long as she can cost him a right fortune in legal fees, so he’ll learn his lesson. Wow, hell hath no fury. Hey guys, don’t you know by now that if you cheat on us, you’ll be paying for it forEVER? No one ever learns!

Mila Kunis Goes To The Marine Corps Ball (Photos) Posted: 20 Nov 2011 05:38 PM PST Last weekend, actor Justin Timberlake made good on his promise to act as date to Cpl. Kelsey De Santis at the Marine Corps Ball in Richmond, Virginia. This weekend it was his co-star Mila Kunis who was up to the plate… and she did NOT disappoint! After thinking that there would be a scheduling conflict, Kunis arrived in Greenville N.C. around 2:30pm on Friday. Sgt. Scott Moore had asked Kunis to be his date via the now infamous and often imitated youtube video. Since media are not allowed inside the event, all photos of the pair are taken by Marine personnel or their guests. From the looks of these photos, it certainly seems that Sgt. Justin Bieber Serenades Selena Gomez At AMA Rehearsal Posted: 20 Nov 2011 05:10 PM PST Despite the rumors that Justin Bieber is a dad, his girlfriend Selena Gomez stuck around and the pair seemed cozier than ever at the rehearsals for tonight’s American Music Awards. It was said that at last night’s rehearsals, Bieber was on stage performing James Brown‘s ‘I Feel Good’ and singing to his lovely girl sitting in the first row watching. Those two are so sticky sweet it almost disgusts me. ALMOST. Tonight’s telecast will have performances by Biebs, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj, with Selena being one of the presenters. Oprah Fights To Save OWN Posted: 20 Nov 2011 04:55 PM PST Oprah Winfrey ended her 25 year long run on her talk show to go behind the cameras of her O.W.N. network. Unfortunately, OWN isn’t doing as well as expected, so the talk show queen has no choice but to return in a new show. The new show will be called Oprah’s Next Chapter, and it will premiere in January. The program will have Oprah visiting Steven Tyler at his home in New Hampshire, traveling to Haiti with Sean Penn two years after the devastating earthquake that rocked the island nation, and also having a sleepover with Paula Deen at her Georgia estate. Rosie O’Donnell‘s talk show was promoted with a lot of fan-fare only to get terrible ratings. The premiere episode only brought in about 497,000 on October 10th and since, the ratings have dropped to approximately 200,000. It is likely that if Rosie’s ratings don’t pick up, her show will get canceled. Even bestie Gayle King‘s show on OWN hit the skids… Gayle said goodbye to the fledgling network and hello to co-hosting The Early Show. Let’s see if the diva of daytime talk shows still has it in her to pull in enough viewers to save the network. Fingers crossed!
