| Amy Adams Cast As Lois Lane In ‘Superman: Man Of Steel’ Posted: 28 Mar 2011 04:04 AM PDT
Firstly with Henry Cavill being given the title role which he does not fit in my opinion, and now Amy Adams as Lois Lane. What is Snyder thinking? Snyder is quoted as saying; "There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it." "It goes back to what I've said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What's important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today's audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance]." While this is all great in theory, if you don’t believe your actors in their given rolls, how can you believe in the film? Amy Adams is a great actress, at least from what I’ve seen of her, but Lois Lane she is not. She simply does not have the fire that Lois needs to light under Superman’s arse. She clearly does not convey a strong essence, and this is why she simply will wither into the background. Much the way Kate Bosworth did in the previous Superman film. Does anyone else think that Diane Lane would make a better Lois than Amy would? Go ahead, start with the hate mail… I’m getting used to it. LOL. |
| Christina Aguilera & New Boyfriend Suck Face (Photo) Posted: 28 Mar 2011 01:36 AM PDT Christina Aguilera and her beau, Matthew Rutler, were photographed sucking the face off one another in the backseat of a chauffeur-driven Mercedes. The couple were caught canoodling outside Santa Monica’s Giorgio Baldi restaurant following a dinner with friends.  Rather than driving themselves, they enlisted the services of a driver, just weeks after Rutler was arrested on drink driving charges. He is currently on $30,000 bail. Aguilera was also arrested on the night of March 1 in West Hollywood for public intoxication. At least she’s learning. LOL. |
| Celebrities Help Japan by Running Marathon Posted: 28 Mar 2011 01:30 AM PDT Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton and Fergie ran in Josh Duhamel's Tokidoki Relief Run Sunday morning on Santa Monica Beach. The funds raised from the run went to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Relief Fund for the relief effort in Japan.  Who’s she trying to kid? At the end of the run, Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton wished Fergie a "Happy Birthday," as they posed for photographs after the two mile run along the beach. Said Paris, ". . .felt so amazing to support Japan today and run in the Josh Duhamel Tokidoki Relief Run with Nicky Hilton, Brooke Brinson and Fergie."  Josh Duhamel has hosted relief runs in the past. In January 2010, he hosted a run which raised $100,000 for Haiti. Although the numbers from today's run are not in yet, Josh Duhamel is hoping the results will be similar; if not better. |
| James Franco Is A Painter (Video) Posted: 28 Mar 2011 01:12 AM PDT In a late night tweet, James Franco posted a video of himself in a large room painting a picture entitled "James The Thinker," a parody of the famous French statue. Though the video lasts less than a minute, we see Franco thoughtfully mixing paint on his pallet, applying it to the canvas, and then stopping for moment to admire his creation. Well done Franco.  Franco has been very busy of late, what with hosting the Oscars, being nominated for an Oscar himself, having several appearances on "General Hospital," and working on several advanced degrees. Does he ever sleep? In other news, Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed that Franco will play the lead of the Wizard in the new version of the 1939 hit entitled "Oz, the Great and Powerful". Originally Robert Downey Jr. was to play that part but he left the project a few months ago, reports Coming Soon. No word on why he left. |

| Wired Exclusive: Perez Hilton’s Blue Ball (Photos & Video) Posted: 27 Mar 2011 09:08 PM PDT Perez Hilton‘s Blue Ball Birthday bash was filled with plenty of surprises, interesting outfits, a lot of celeb friends! Allie is Wired made sure to follow the head-to-toe blue dress code so we could attend and get you the inside scoop.  The party, held at Siren Studios on Sunset, was absolutely blue-tastic with blue cocktails, cupcakes and decorations. We spotted a handful of celebrity guests and even accidentally asked one (Jesse Tyler Ferguson -Mitchell Modern Family) where to find the restroom! Most of the Beverly Hills Housewives were in attendance including Paris Hilton’s Aunt,Kyle Richards . Former NBA player Rick Fox , Blossom star Mayim Bialik, Houswife Gretchen Rossi, and Bunny Bridget Marquardt all came out to wish Perez a happy 33rd.   Those stars that couldn’t make it like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Nelly Furtado and Charice, sent their Birthday wishes via video. Charice dedicated an amazing cover of Gaga’s “Born This Way” to the birthday boy: Lady Gaga also sent a pink scooter as a birthday gift to Perez with the words “Don’t Be a Drag Just Be A Queen Of All Media” painted on the side. Guests were treated to performances by Matty B., Prince Poppy Cock, Greyson Chance, Christina Perry, an unnamed Boy Band, Kat Graham, Macy Gray, Deborah Gibson, and the gorgeous Dita Von Teese. One of the songs in Macy’s set was a cover of Sex is on Fire - see the video here.   Other entertainment included a jumpy castle, drag queens, and a Hpnotiq photo area where guests could play dress up in blue boas and other costume pieces. Pictures were instantly available to post on facebook and twitter. The fellas also had a chance to get pampered in the Nivea for Men shaving corner. Surprise guest Selena Gomez popped in pretty late in the evening and looked amazing in her blue outfit and makeup. Girl can rock some blue lips!   Check out all the fun below! | Lindsay Lohan’s New Name, ‘POCAHONTAS’ Posted: 27 Mar 2011 07:50 PM PDT Lindsay Lohan‘s father, Michael Lohan has voiced his shock at hearing his famous daughter is considering changing her last name and he’s accused his ex-wife of fabricating the story. Dina Lohan recently suggested the actress is planning an image overhaul by dropping Lohan and simply being known as ‘Lindsay’. Looks like it might not be just “Lindsay” after all, meet POCAHONTAS.  Michael, however, is denying the reports of the name change telling RadarOnline: ‘It’s ridiculous.’
Maybe Michael Lohan should focus on his situation with Kate Major — his time is better spent there. |

The city awarded Spears an official proclamation following a free concert at Bill Graham Civic Center.  After a three-song-performance for a “Good Morning America” taping, Spears was given a framed proclamation stating Tuesday, March 29 will be “Britney Day” in San Francisco. The concert was a locally masterful promotion to air that morning on ABC. Tuesday is also the day her new album drops. |
| Reese Witherspoon Ties the Knot! Posted: 27 Mar 2011 06:45 PM PDT Congratulations to Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth! The 35-year old Oscar-winning actress and her 40-year old talent agent fiancé wed Saturday at her Ojai, California ranch.
Wearing a custom Monique Lhuillier gown, the lovely actress and her new leading man exchanged wedding bands designed by William Goldberg. (That's the same jeweler who designed the gorgeous 4-carat rock – rumored to have cost $250,000 – that she's been wearing since they became engaged in December.) It is Toth's first and Witherspoon's second marriage. The Legally Blonde star has two children with first husband Ryan Phillippe, from whom she was divorced in 2007. (The kiddies – Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7 – were part of the ceremony.) Before meeting Toth, Witherspoon had a high-profile relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Considering he spent the night out bowling with his pals, it’s probably safe to assume he wasn’t too broken up about his ex tying the knot. |
