| Katy Perry Sings Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ (Video) Posted: 08 Mar 2011 01:10 PM PST Lovely songstress Katy Perry is not just the bubble-gum pop queen of this generation. She actually has some singing chops on her. Not only that, but listening to her cover Lady Gaga‘s hit ‘Born This Way‘ kinda gave me chills.
At a show in Paris, France at Le Zenith last night, she paid homage to one of her contemporaries. And she did it with style, grace, and emotion. We at Allie is Wired are huge Gaga fans, this is no secret. So Katy’s performance last night added her onto my faves list. Yes, I know Katy is talented. What I didn’t know is that she has a social conscience. Choosing to cover that song has so much meaning entangled in it. The song is about social justice, equality, and love. For both yourself, and for others. Perry conveyed that message with perfection. Good for you girl. |

Saturday night was date night for Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Vancouver. The couple were spotted on Burrard Street, near their hotel, walking and holding hands.  Kristen and Rob were also recently spotted sharing a private shopping excursion at the swank Michael Kors boutique in Vancouver on March 5th, where Rob reportedly bought Kristen a new pink dress. Gary hit the stripper pole during a “Celebrity Apprentice” cast party in Vegas Sunday night and nearly lost his pants in the process. Who knew Gary was so naughty?  The stunned crowed cheered as Busey swung his hips, before lifting up his shirt and shaking his rear-end to guests. Surprisingly enough, no money was exchanged. |

Take former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson, for example. In a discussion about how kids are not taught the niceties of manners anymore he blames the likes of ‘Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dog‘ and ‘Enema Man‘. Confused? Just watch the clip. It’s TOO funny!
I can’t blame Senator Simpson for his blunder, he is after all nearly 80 years old. And the fact that the Alzheimer’s hasn’t set in yet is quite impressive. Hey, Fox News people… couldn’t you have given the old man some cue cards to read from to avoid making him look like such a moron? Meh, everyone that appears on Fox News usually IS a moron. I guess they wouldn’t want to stray too far from their norm, huh? |
| Charlie Sheen Rants About The Trolls (Video) Posted: 08 Mar 2011 08:13 AM PST The latest episode in the Charlie Sheen saga comes in the form of his most recent edition of ‘Sheen’s Corner‘. The video is not so much funny, more like disturbing. Why is everyone encouraging his behavior and not pleading with him to seek the help he so obviously needs?
If I were to fashion a guess, I would say that it all has to do with money. Sheen’s ‘people’ are cashing in on all the press that is stemming from this. So why would they allow him to get well? Sheen’s insane rants have become the subject of much discussion in the media, and twitter is all about the ‘unemployed #winner‘. UGH! Check out the latest episode of Sheen’s Corner and tell me your thoughts in the comments section. Let’s discuss this, I want your opinion. Is Charlie Sheen a raving lunatic that requires medical help, is he on something, or is it all just an act? |
| When Lady Gaga Met Allie (Photos and Video) Posted: 08 Mar 2011 06:51 AM PST Have you ever dreamed of meeting Lady Gaga? I can’t say that I’ve ever dreamed of meeting her — but I can certainly say that I enjoyed meeting her! I had the pleasure of meeting Lady Gaga in Washington D.C., while I was there attending the Virgin Mobile 25 Summit.  While waiting in line (there were 25 of us), I watched as she first greeted a bunch of fans who were there via a contest. I noticed how she acted with them, genuinely happy to interact with them and sign autographs. It was my turn — I literally came at her with the proverbial “little monster claws.” I think she must have liked it, she did squeeze me rather tight. I was surprised at how tall she was, in those ridiculous shoes.  Then it crossed my mind — she just performed for the last two hours, met with fans for a scheduled “meet and greet,” taking the time to sit down with each and every one of them. Then decidedly beforehand, agreed to meet with the 25 of us afterward? I’m impressed. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, I was able to experience all of this with Spicy of Celebrity Smack, Matt Belanger of Hard Candy and MK of Popbytes (poor guy got frisked! lol) Love Lady Gaga?
