| Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley Take the Lead On Dancing with the Stars Posted: 21 Mar 2011 10:29 PM PDT Halfway into Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" premiere, it seemed like a lackluster season was all but a sure thing. Performer after performer took the stage delivering boring routines. And then it happened. After the parade of mostly younger and far blander stars went by, two long shots surprised the crowd. As it turns out, Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley can dance! Really!  According to judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Macchio displayed elegance, and Len Goodman agreed. It was up to Bruno Tonioli to point out the "Kid's" one flaw — "creepy" hands. The oddly accurate criticism shouldn't be a problem for the actor, who seemed to have every other body part under control. But my true love — and the one I’m rooting for this season, Alley put on a jaw-dropping cha-cha-cha that was worth every bit of the praise Macchio walked away with. In fact, considering that Alley has more than 10 years on the actor and admittedly isn't at her fitness peak, her high-energy, precision steps were even more impressive. Alley, a veteran of the big screen, small screen and reality programming, had been pumping up her appearance on the show on Twitter. "GOOD morning my darling leading man…you will be as remarkable tonight as you always have been….lead me Maks..Lead me" she tweeted before the season premiere, in a shout-out to dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. |

The “Sonny With A Chance” star stopped by Disneyland to enjoy some free time with friends. She posted the following photo to Twitter saying, “Went to Disneyland today…That…really happened.”  By “That,” is she speaking of the older couple behind her? What does Demi’s ex-boyfriend think? In an interview with Details magazine this week, all Joe Jonas would say about his recovering ex: “I wish her the best.” |
| Nick Jonas Surprises Ex-American Idol Contestant (Video) Posted: 21 Mar 2011 09:10 PM PDT Recently eliminated American Idol contestant Karen Rodriguez, visited “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” to discuss her whirlwind Idol journey and plans for her future. However, Ryan had a special surprise guest for her…none other then Nick Jonas!  Last week, Karen Rodriguez admitted that the only reason she tried out for American Idol was so her sister Karol might meet Nick Jonas. Today, on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Karen and Karol just about got their wish, as Jonas surprised Karen in the studio, then called Karol to sing “When I Look You in the Eyes” to her. “I think that this tops, like, my American Idol experience,” a teary Karen said. “This is all my sister wanted, and I’m so glad I could make her dream come true by trying to make mine come true.” Karen also told Nick that she had requested to sing the Jonas Brothers’ Burning Up on the show, so she sang a bit of it a cappella for Nick. You know, that was a very sweet thing for him to do. |

| Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar: ‘I Was Abducted By Aliens!’ Posted: 21 Mar 2011 04:10 PM PDT Former Van Halen front-man Sammy Hagar claims that he was abducted by aliens. Wow, that certainly explains a LOT. The aged rocker has always appeared to be a little bit off kilter. And it’s no wonder, since his brain was experimented on by little green men from another world.
Hagar claims; “It was real. They were plugged into me. It was a download situation … or, they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment … They were tapped into my brain and the knowledge was transferred back and forth.” So basically, the aliens now know all of humanities secrets. All the top-secret government tactical information has been infiltrated. Humans beware. (Please note the sarcasm…) The perfectly sane Hagar claims that this kidnapping and brain sucking took place in Fontana California, near a nascar track… are we sure HE was the intended victim here? I mean, really they could have been searching for a car.. Maybe K.I.T.T.? Anyways, this certainly wasn’t the first time that the singer had a close encounter… his first experience with the space travelers happened when he was a mere 4 years old. How terrifying. (End sarcasm, begin criticism.) WTF is this guy smoking? Is this the real reason that Van Halen fired his arse? I mean really, if I were the Van Halen boys I would have sent him in for a 5150… Hey, do you think he has one of those tin-foil hats that ‘believers’ wear? Heck, maybe he’ll be joining Charlie Sheen on his tour as a ‘special guest’? |
| NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Promo (Video) Posted: 21 Mar 2011 03:49 PM PDT NBC‘s newest talent competition is gearing up to begin on April 26th. Former MTV personality Carson Daly will take up hosting duties for the series. Celebrity ‘coaches’ Christina Aguilera (AKA Snooki‘s twin sister), Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine (Maroon 5) and some guy named Blake Shelton, will have their backs turned as the contestants take the stage.
Wow, now there’s a competition I’d love to be a part of… your judges don’t even look at you? Hmm… so maybe another Susan Boyle will make it big. Check out the first promo for the show. So will The Voice be the next American Idol? Some how I doubt it. Firstly Carson does not have the charisma that Ryan Seacrest has… I know, I can’t believe I said that either, but it’s true. Second, is it possible for someone like Christina Aguilera to be non biased? I mean she undoubtedly has one of the best voices that the music industry has ever seen/heard. But she really seems to be a diva with a HUGE ego. Will she be able to see past herself and judge fairly? Guess time will tell… |
| A Peace of His Mind: Poetry by Charlie Sheen Posted: 21 Mar 2011 12:41 PM PDT In the course of reporting her fascinating profile of Charlie Sheen for the April issue of GQ, Amy Wallace got her hands on a self-published, rarely seen, hard-to-find collection of poetry written by Sheen in the early ’90s. The cover (shown here) was illustrated by the man who directed him in The Chase, and the book was distributed to a small handful of Sheen’s close friends. | Bradley Cooper Didn’t Put a Ring On It Posted: 21 Mar 2011 12:04 PM PDT A ring, or the lack of one, may have been the cause of the latest Hollywood power couple split. News of the breakup between Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger broke on Friday, but details were sketchy. Now, a source close to the couple told Popeater's Rob Shuter that the 41 year-old actress was looking for a proposal from her boyfriend of not-quite two years.
Apparently, that didn't happen and she and Cooper, 36, have now called it quits. Cooper has plenty to keep his mind occupied, what with his new movie, Limitless, raking in $19 million in theaters this weekend. The Hangover star, who played Lt. Templeton Peck in 2010's The A-Team, has created quite the buzz in his latest role. And his star is expected to keep climbing when The Hangover 2 hits theaters on May 26. Zellweger's not moping at home while her ex takes the box office by storm. According to Us Magazine, she stepped out on the town Saturday night, raising eyebrows in a form-fitting black dress and killer shoes at New York's La Esquina restaurant. |

Posted: 21 Mar 2011 11:45 AM PDT Marisa Tomei‘s roles have ranged from Mona Lisa Vito, the smart-mouth from “My Cousin Vinny,” to Cassidy, the lonesome stripper in “The Wrestler.” Now Tomei has another role waiting for her: Lady Gaga. Don’t get too excited. Nothing is set in stone just yet.  The controversial 24-year-old singer was on Sirius XM’s Morning Mashup when she said, “I would have Marisa Tomei play me. I am such a Marisa Tomei fan. All my friends call me Marisa when I get angry, because my New York accent just flies out of my body and I start smacking my gum.” Tomei, 46, was recently on “The View” where she responded to Gaga’s request. “I was thrilled when I heard. I love her. I love her music. And she’s a smart businesswoman,” said Tomei. “So I was so touched, really. I think it’s incredible that she likes my work and that she’d think of me in that way. I thought it was great.” Tomei won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1993 for her role in “My Cousin Vinny” and is currently starring alongside Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Phillippe in the crime drama “The Lincoln Lawyer.” “Born This Way,” Gaga’s newest single, has reached the top of the charts across the world and her sophomore album is set to be released on May 23rd. | Charlie Sheen ‘Emotionally Crippled’ Posted: 21 Mar 2011 10:56 AM PDT Charlie Sheen is still a child emotionally, according to his father Martin Sheen. The elder Sheen weighed in on the recent behavior of his troubled offspring during an interview with The Telegraph to promote his upcoming movie, The Way.  According to his father, his 45-year old son is still a child emotionally due to his addictions. "[W]hen you're addicted, you don't grow emotionally. So when you get clean and sober you're starting at the moment you started using drugs or alcohol," he explained. "You're emotionally crippled." The aging star is in a position to know, since he's faced his own problems with alcoholism in the past. "I know what hell he's living in," the 70-year old said, recalling his own behavior on the set of Apocalypse Now in 1976. While Martin seems to think faith could help his son find his way out of the "dark side" of addiction, Charlie seems to be exalting in his craziness. And the rest of the world seems quite happy watching his oh-so-public meltdown. The tantrums which cost Charlie his $2 million-an-episode gig on 2 1/2 men, seem to be working to his advantage. Over 3 million Twitter followers are hanging on every insane word. Tickets for his still-vague "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option" tour have sold out so quickly, that 12 more shows have been added. There is even talk of a tour stop in Haiti. There are even rumors of CBS clamoring to get Charlie back. There is also speculation that a project is in the works between the actor and rival network, Fox. TMZ reported Charlie has already met with network execs. The star himself added fuel to the fire by tweeting, "#Foxball; Perhaps a new lair…..? A Fox and a Warlock? epic. ybw c.” An attached picture clearly displayed the Fox logo. |
| Mel B Pregnant With Third Child Posted: 21 Mar 2011 10:43 AM PDT Pregnant pop star Melanie Brown has ruled out a natural home birth when she welcomes her third baby – she’s opting for an epidural in the hospital so she endures “as little discomfort as possible”. The former Spice Girl, who has two daughters from previous relationships, is expecting her first child with husband Stephen Belafonte this summer (11) – and she wants the birth to be completely pain-free.  She tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, “It’s a nice idea to do it at home or in a water birthing thing, but the reality is I’ve had two babies. With (eldest daughter) Phoenix, the epidural wore off, so I experienced pain, and not by choice. “Second time, I experienced having the pain dulled. I was laughing the whole time when I delivered (youngest daughter) Angel. So having experienced both, I am opting for no pain and as little discomfort as possible.” But Brown is terrified her next arrival will be a large one – because Belafonte comes from a long line of big babies. She adds, “I’ve had pretty easy pregnancies and really easy deliveries. But Stephen frightened me. He’s one of seven children and he said that every single one of them was nine pounds or more. Both Angel and Phoenix were barely five pounds. So that’s a little bit worrying – I’m used to babies that come early and are really small!” |

| The Jolie-Pitt Family All Spotted Together (Photo) Posted: 21 Mar 2011 09:50 AM PDT After a low-key few weeks, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stepped out with their entire brood for a family outing Sunday. The Hollywood stars were out and about with Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox in New Orleans on their way to the Berti Market. It’s not often they are all photographed together!  Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh walked while the twins Knox and Vivienne hitched a ride from mom and dad who were all smiles while out and about on a lovely sunny day. Pitt is currently filming the mob flickj “Cogan’s Trade” with Ray Liotta and Sam Rockwell. |
