| ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week Seven Recap Posted: 01 Nov 2010 05:56 PM PDT “Dancing With The Stars” is back for week seven! Since the ousting of Audrina Patridge, it’s really anyone’s guess as to who will be eliminated from the show this week! Audrina performed well, but found herself in the bottom two, alongside Jennifer Grey. In the end, she didn’t make the cut and was sent packin’.  The remaining contestants have been divided up into two teams, dancing against each other for extra points. Dancing the Cha Cha Cha, are Team Kristi, which consists of Rick Fox, Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey. They scored 24 points. Team Apolo is up next, which consists of Jennifer Grey, Brandy and Kurt Warner, who are also doing the Cha Cha Cha. They’re rocking it! I’m sure they’ll be in the lead after the scores are announced. They earned a total of 27 points. Nice! In round two of tonight’s show, the dancers will recreate past iconic dances. | New Michael Jackson Album A Fraud? Posted: 01 Nov 2010 01:11 PM PDT The new Michael Jackson album that’s being released during Christmas this year might just be a fraud, according to reports. Members of Michael’s family believe that it’s not exactly his voice on the recordings, even though Sony is adamant that it is.  Sony plans to release the album just in time for Christmas, believing that all of the material on it is authentic. However, Michael’s children were the first to pipe up to say that it’s not their father’s voice on the tracks. Reportedly, Michael was with his kids in New Jersey in 2007, when producers claim he recorded the songs. The kids aren’t the only ones who aren’t sipping the Sony kool-aid, either. Other family members of Michael’s aren’t believing the hype, either. Howard Weitzman, lawyer for MJ’s estate, says that he listened to the tracks with a team of experts and they have confirmed that it’s the real deal. I guess we’ll make that determination for ourselves when the album gets released. If word gets out that the tracks are faked, no one will buy it. | LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian Engaged? Posted: 01 Nov 2010 01:01 PM PDT Over the Halloween weekend, Eddie Cibrian decided to play a prank on all of his Twitter followers. He posted this photo of himself along with girlfriend, LeAnn Rimes, showing off a proposal.  He tweeted, “I couldn’t resist…” along with the photo, showing him down on one knee, popping the question. I’m sure they expected some backlash over this one, considering there was a recent controversy regarding putting her on the October issue of “Shape” magazine. The Editor-In-Chief of the publication issued a mass email to staff apologizing for having a “husband-stealer” on the cover of the magazine. Still, a source close to the couple says that they are not engaged. The spy said, “They are not engaged. It was just part of the Halloween fun.” Interesting. But what if it were real? | Miley Cyrus Loses Liam Hemsworth to Another Woman? Posted: 01 Nov 2010 12:34 PM PDT Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have gone their separate ways…and it looks like it’s for good this time! Liam was spotted at a recent event with another girl — and it wasn’t Miley!  There were rumors that Miley and Liam had split up, but they were said to have gotten back together due to the problems she was facing in her parents’ divorce. Now, it doesn’t appear that there’s any question. Liam was spotted with model Yolanda Vendy on October 30th, arm-in-arm, at Eve nightclub in Sydney, Australia. The twosome spent the night making eyes at each other and were super close. When asked if she was friends with Liam, Yolanda said, “If that’s what you want to call it.” How dare you leave Miley during the tough time she’s facing! What do you think? Are they just friends? | Cam Girl Barbie: Creepy Or Cool? Posted: 01 Nov 2010 10:08 AM PDT Cam Girl Barbie is likely to get your teen or tween daughters interested in videotaping themselves while they’re playing. Mattel is obviously trying to cash in on the new age of technology, as the doll features a video camera on top of her chest and a screen on her back. For $50.00, you could have this doll for your little girl to capture those fun moments of playing with friends. To some, this doll poses a danger to children.  Mattel describes the Barbie as a tool to “capture everything from a doll’s eye-view, then watch it instantly or upload to your computer.” Some fear that this toy could be misused by those who pose a threat to children. Clinical psychologist Sally-Anne McCormack said that the toy could be open to abuse. She said, “I am calling for all Australians to boycott this product and refuse to shop in any store that justifies selling this potentially pornographic tool. As a child and adolescent psychologist, must I not also deal with clients who have been traumatized by a misused Barbie?” Check out a review of the video of the doll in action: Sure, anything can potentially be dangerous, even driving a car. This is a toy. We’re not denying that it could be used with ill-intent, but shouldn’t you be careful as to who watches your child in the first place? Besides that, it doesn’t feature a live feed. In addition to that, regular video cameras and laptops can record video to be published online. Should those also removed due to their potential misuse? | Lily Allen Suffers Miscarriage At Six Months Posted: 01 Nov 2010 09:32 AM PDT Lily Allen just can’t seem to catch a break. First, she dated Chemical Brothers singer Ed Simons in 2008 and suffered a miscarriage shortly thereafter, which basically ended their relationship.  This year, she happily announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Sam Cooper by showing off the front page of “The Sun” newspaper with the announcement. Sadly, today we’ve learned that Lily has lost her second baby. She was six months pregnant upon learning that the baby she was carrying was no longer alive. Her rep issued a statement, asking for the couple’s privacy. The spokesman said, “It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby. The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made.” This is so sad. Our most sincerest condolences go out to Lily and Sam in this awful time. Do you think they’ll try again? Or should they adopt? | Kevin Smith’s ‘Red State’ Wrapped! Posted: 01 Nov 2010 04:40 AM PDT Former indie filmmaker Kevin Smith has made a name for himself in Hollywood, both as a writer/director, and as an actor. His most recent work takes him back to the indie sensibility with Red State.
Red State wrapped just 5 days ago, and the wrap party was held at Smith's home on Saturday night. Smith is quite relentless and cut the film so it could be screened at the party:
The description for the movie on IMDb is: "A horror film in which a group of misfits encounter fundamentalism gone to the extreme in Middle America". It's no secret that I'm a huge Kevin Smith fan. I frequent his blog as well as stalk him on twitter (@ThatKevinSmith), so of course I'm crazy excited to see this film. I was floored and giddy when I saw this tweet!
No doubt it will be filled with the wonderfully sardonic wit and humor I've grown to expect and love from this brilliant and underrated filmmaker. Red State is due in theatres in 2011, HOPEFULLY in wide release! Source: Red State-ment [Silent Bob Speaks] |
