| First Look: Madonna’s Material Girl Collection Posted: 23 Jun 2010 09:37 PM PDT Macy's has just released three sketches from Madonna's Material Girl clothing line, which will hit store shelves and Macys.com on Tuesday August 3rd.  The collection will retail from $12 to $40 and an advertising campaign will launch on Tuesday June 29th. A Macys.com/materialgirl website will be launched as well as Material Girl Facebook and Twitter pages with behind-the-scenes goodies and pictures from the collection and campaign. And last but not least there will be a competition run by Macy’s for one fan and three friends to meet Madonna in New York City! The campaign features a girl with bleached hair and very 80’s rocker style leather jacket with a rosary in her hand but never really showing her face.  Macy’s stores in San Francisco’s Union Square and New York’s Herald square will have huge Who’s That Girl banners decorating the shops, but the actual stock of clothes will be moved in stores just the night before launching date. The shops are to feature lace wallpaper with chain link fence wall paper, very “Like A Virgin era”. |
| Lady Gaga Falls Thanks To Her Crazy Shoes - Photos Posted: 23 Jun 2010 11:58 AM PDT Lady Gaga took a little bit of a tumble at Heathrow Airport earlier today after making her way off of her flight from New York. It was all thanks to those crazy heel-less shoes that she’s been sporting.  We all kind of figured that it was a matter of time before she suffered for her fashion choices. Now, we’re just glad that she didn’t hurt herself in those beasts. Seriously, the person that designed those things is obviously not a woman. With Gaga, it’s all about her public persona, but this is just too much. I think, after taking a nasty fall in those things, they should be tossed in the garbage. We get it, you’re crazy about fashion, but not to the point of hurting yourself, right? Perhaps she’d been sipping on a little somethin’ somethin’ during her flight? Otherwise those shoes would be toast. She should auction them off on eBay for charity. What do you think? Has she gone too far in the name of fashion? The exhibit features rare, never-before seen photos of the Hollywood Star by photographer Bill Carroll and other historic photos of Norma Jeane by Bernard of Hollywood. | Lindsay Lohan Set Up For ‘Double Exposure’ Tardiness Posted: 23 Jun 2010 11:11 AM PDT Lindsay Lohan was set to appear on the Bravo show, “Double Exposure” last night. It was a much hyped appearance that likely sent the cable network’s ratings through the roof. The only problem?? Lindsay was about 11 hours late for taping.  Her excuse? She overslept, of course. Last night, she took to her Twitter to claim that she was “set up” and that show only wants to make her look bad. The show claims that her photo shoot was set up for 10 a.m., but she claims that they’re all lying. Of course they are. People really just want to use her for press and it’s so unfair.  Lindsay is reportedly set to appear on next week’s show. You can see how awful these users are if you tune in! Seriously, though, what world is she living in where she can wake up 11 hours late? Just because she was in a few movies doesn’t mean that she’s the center of the universe. Cue Lindsay’s whining in 3………2…….1……. | Posted: 23 Jun 2010 10:57 AM PDT Last night was the Board of Governors meeting of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. During this meeting, one key topic on the agenda… moving up the Oscars to January. If this change were to occur it would upset the balance of ‘Award Season’, and probably outshine The Golden Globe Awards.
It would most certainly give ABC the network ratings advantage over competing NBC who airs The Globes. There are pros and cons to moving the Oscars to January. One notable pro would be the shortening of award season and subsequent campaigning. Another tick in the pro column would be that the Academy Awards would once more be the ‘It Show’. The Oscars would trump all of it’s competitors; SAG Awards, Golden Globes, and The BAFTA Awards. But on the con side, it would make the judge’s lives hell. They would have to rush to see all nominated films, especially those released in December. Likely requiring to use screener DVD copies, which would probably up the amount of pirated content available on the Web. Bully for them. Yeah, such a hard job. *rollseyes* Getting paid tons of cash to watch movies all the time, and pick the best ones… OH WAIT, that sounds like Roger Ebert. No wonder he was so fat. (YES I KNOW HE’S SKINNY NOW!)
I’ve yet to receive word if the proposition passed, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough. Personally, I don’t care whether the show stays in February, or gets bumped up to January. All I care about is who is nominated, and who will perform. What about you, does it really matter if they change the air date for the Oscars? [Click on thumbnails to get a larger view]

| Kellie Pickler and Kyle Jacobs Getting Married Posted: 23 Jun 2010 09:19 AM PDT Former “American Idol” contestant Kellie Pickler is hearing wedding bells! The country crooner told People magazine that she is engaged to songwriter Kyle Jacobs.  The 23-year-old was having a rough time last week, as June 15 was the birthday of her late grandmother Faye Pickler. However, her week turned around when Jacobs asked for her hand in marriage.
She said of the proposal, “I remember saying to Kyle, ‘Baby it’s like I’m dreaming — but if this isn’t real, I’m going to be very upset!’”  Pickler added, “Kyle took away all my fear of marriage and has shown me the way love is supposed to be.” |
| Tori Spelling Thinks Everyone Hates Her Posted: 23 Jun 2010 07:05 AM PDT Tori Spelling has taken the publicity whoring up a notch when she announced on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show that all of her former “Beverly Hills: 90210” co-stars hate her.
Stopping by the radio show as part of promotional duties for her new book ‘Uncharted TerriTORI,’ the third installment in her memoirs, Spelling mentions that she feels former co-star Tiffani Thiessen dropped her just like she did the "Amber" in her name. But when Ryan disputed that despite Tori’s claims Thiessan did in fact like her, she tried to do some major backpedaling!
The actress went on to say she was not invited to Ian Ziering’s recent wedding, which included invites to ex-”90210″ stars Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, and Thiessen. She did, however, note that she and Jennie Garth are still pals. Maybe they hate you because you married a low life who left his wife for a glimmer in the LA spot light? Nobody likes a home-wrecker! |
