| Soul Legend Performs for Boxing Heavyweights Posted: 22 Jun 2010 07:26 AM PDT UK Soul & Motown legend Matthew Philips is about to embark on one of the most important gigs of his life - performing for boxing champion David Haye and ex-heavyweight Nigel Benn.
Aside from the fact that Matthew won’t want to get on the wrong side the current WBA Heavyweight champion of the world (a bloody nose is not the ideal outcome) Matthew knows what an honor it is to have been asked to perform for both David and Nigel: “I’m really looking forward to both of them; David Haye is the current champion so it’s going to be great meeting him and listening to his story. It’s a bit different as the other nights are normally with boxers from the past and have a finished story to tell. With David Haye he has so much to still do so it will be interesting to listen to what he says and follow his career. Nigel Benn was a child hood hero of mine along with the likes of Frank Bruno. I used to love watching his fights and the way he show boated in and out ofthe ring. His legendary fights with Chris Eubank are the ones I remember the most. The night with Nigel Benn is in a much less formal setting and I’m hoping to catch a few words with him and performing in front of them. Getting approval from such legends is always rewarding.”
…We don’t think Matt’s got much to worry about - it was only a few weeks ago that he stunned Mike Tyson with his powerful voice and wowed the audience at the Mike Tyson charity night…we think if you can impress Tyson, Haye & Benn’s a snitch (we hope - for Matt’s sake!) | Miley Cyrus Feeds The Pigs - Photos Posted: 21 Jun 2010 09:56 PM PDT Miley Cyrus is really trying to work that sexy angle with her transition from child star to sexy pop temptress. She went from Hannah Montana to backwoods pop disaster. All in the span of a year.  Miley performed at the Much Music Video Awards and changed outfits about seven times during the show. During the show, she wore this white outfit, which REALLY left nothing to the imagination.  Now, we were one of the first to defend Miley over Perez Hilton’s actions last Sunday night. The jerk tweeted a photo of Miley that was obviously altered, with a warning. It was uncensored and purely disgusting. I guess that fool never learned his lesson, because he did it again yesterday. Anything for that almighty pageview, right Perez? We’ve had some changing thoughts throughout this whole controversy. What we’re thinking is that the first time was accidental (she was getting out of a car) and didn’t ask to be violated. Now, she is clearly on display. It’s obvious that she’s feeding the pigs like Perez, with fodder for his fat butt to keep his site going. When is the FBI going to intervene and lock his retarded self up? That would be just penance for that douchebag. Who’s with me? Uncensored photos are after the jump!  These photos make me weep for the future. It’s just sad, really. | Tyler Shields’ New Collisions Photos With Lindsay Lohan & Ashley Greene Posted: 21 Jun 2010 02:05 PM PDT Tyler Shields has produced more of his collisions photographs and they are simply amazing looking. He says that they are not Photoshopped or double exposure, yet all done in camera. He took photos of his collisions with Lindsay Lohan, Ashley Greene and Vincent Kartheiser from “Mad Men” (Pete Campbell).  When speaking of working with Lindsay, he said, “Lindsay and I have been working together a bit more now and its a really fun dynamic we have. So when I said to her [that] I wanted to create a collision with her, she was excited.” Of Vincent Kartheiser, he said, “As for Vincent and Alessandra [Torresani], they are both super amazing people and we just got really crazy and out of hand. For their shot, I took a bulldozer to a house. I wanted to show a real broken home. I have to say destruction is freedom and freedom is fun!” Very cool looking pictures! Well done, Tyler, I love it! The “American Pie” actor is finally seeking help for his alcohol abuse problems. Klein will be headed to Cirque Lodge in Utah where he will complete a 30 day alcohol addiction program. You may remember the facility that housed Lindsay Lohan in one of her trips to rehab. Chris' rep crafted a statement to convey that he is taking ownership of his love of the sweet nectar.
Leave it to me to feel that this is just an attempt at damage control. On Wednesday June 16, the Z-Lister was pulled over after being spotted weaving westbound on the Hollywood Freeway. Police found that his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit of .08. This was his second offense and under California law (effective in July) he could be forced to use a breathalyzer in his car from now on. In 2005 he was arrested and smacked with a DUI after being found drunk and behind the wheel in San Diego. [People] |
