| Demi Lovato Sings National Anthem At World Series (Video) Posted: 25 Oct 2011 05:02 AM PDT Singer/actress Demi Lovato is flying high on the success of her album Skyscraper, to add to that an opportunity to sing at the World Series likely put her over the top.  Demi opened game 5 of Texas VS St. Louis with a rendition of the good old Star Spangled Banner, but how did she do with the task? Only a day after Zooey Deschanel knocked it outta the park, Demi follows up with a home run of her own. Even if her “land of the free” was a little shaky. Sure beats forgetting the lyrics like a certain fattening diva who shall remain nameless. (Christina Aguilera) What did you guys think of Demi’s rendition of the national anthem? | Maksim Chmerkovskiy Argues with the DWTS Judges (Video) Posted: 24 Oct 2011 10:17 PM PDT Maksim Chmerkovskiy got into a heated argument with Judge Len Goodman over the quality of his rumba with Hope Solo. After Goodman called their performance their "worst dance of the season," Chmerkovskiy made his disgust known.  First Maks suggested that "maybe it's time" for Goodman to leave the business after the elder judge talked about doing it for 50 years, and then he got downright offended when Carrie Ann Inaba chided him for being disrespectful. "With all due respect, this is my show," Chmerkovskiy said to Brooke Charvet in the skybox. "I helped make it what it is. I love every aspect of it. I love every professional who has ever been here, and I love every celebrity that puts effort into it every week. Having said that, I'm a little tired we are being judged, some by effort and some being picked on our heelies." Was Maks out of line? |

From the theater to the dance floor, the remaining seven competitors and their dance partners treated us to a Broadway show dancing the cha cha, foxtrot, quickstep, rumba, and tango for the judges, audience, and its viewers. Zooey Deschanel performed the National Anthem during the World Series on Sunday kicking off the game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers. "Would have loved to have watched the whole game but I had to catch a plane so I can go to work tomorrow. That's all guys. I'm not a jerk," she posted to Twitter. Zooey Deschanel, who has been half of the band She & Him with M. Ward since 2006, pulled off her performance without a hitch, unlike recent national anthem flubbers Cyndi Lauper and Christina Aguilera. New episodes of the twee darling's Fox show, "New Girl," have been postponed to make way for the baseball event. The show’s hilarious antics are shining light on Deschanel’s comedic talents. The next singer set to perform the song during Game 5? Demi Lovato! “Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!!!” she tweeted on Friday. “I couldn’t do it without you guys!!!!” |
| Jessica Simpson Is DEFINITELY Pregnant (Photo) Posted: 24 Oct 2011 10:57 AM PDT Jessica Simpson was spotted at JFK airport yesterday, leaving no doubt that she’s pregnant! Speculation surrounding Jessica’s pregnancy has been growing as fast as her belly.  The 31-year-old singer showed off what appeared to be a baby bump under the tight black Lycra T-shirt she was wearing. Simpson was reportedly holding on to the news until she received a half million dollar payday. It would appear that OK Magazine blinked and threw Simpson the cash for news that we all already knew. Simpson’s rep has had no comment on the pregnancy reports. |

Well here it is! From the producers that brought us Blind Date, I give you 'Excused'! 'Excused' is a new syndicated dating show hosted by the winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing, Iliza Shlesinger. In each episode we are introduced to a group of men competing for the chance to date one of two women (or vice versa). The two of women whittle the group down to one based on first impressions, personality and intimate dates. The last guy standing then gets his opportunity to select the girl he wants to date and hopefully find love with! Or as the host Iliza puts it, "The show is about dating, but the most important component is the horrible, horrible rejection the daters receive when I excuse them from the show- that’s what people really tune in for, the fun insults." Take a look at some highlights! Also in a television first, viewers now have the opportunity to actually DATE contestants from the show by becoming a member of Jazzed, a social dating site! Talk about breaking the fourth wall! And as if that wasn't enough excitement, the show will also feature some celebrity guests (cough-cough Jersey Shore). The whole show is just giant ball of craziness, drama and fun! Host, Iliza Shlesinger adds the in-your-face comedy that really sets this show apart from dating shows of the past. What!?! The queen of pop's brother, Anthony Ciccone, did an interview with the local news site The Michigan Messenger where he revealed that he is homeless because his family had turned their back on him. Ciccone, 55, admits in the interview, "My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time. You think I haven’t answered this kind of question a bazillion times, why my sister is a multibazillionaire, and I’m homeless on the street? Never say never. This could happen to anybody." According to the interview Ciccone attributes his homelessness to losing his job at his father's winery in Suttons Bay over a year ago. Madonna is probably so wrapped up in her celebrity lifestyle and her hate of hydrangeas that I doubt she even knows about her brother being homeless. –Headlines on Sunday informed the public that Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the comic duo in charge of the hit series South Park, were for some time the object of a Church of Scientology investigation. Parker and Stone once mocked Scientology in the episode "Trapped In The Closet," which apparently infuriated the Church to the point that members began an investigation designed to find damaging information about the two creators. Many individuals and organizations throughout the years have unsuccessfully attempted to sue South Park and its creators – it appears the Church of Scientology had other ways of seeking vengeance, and now that their investigation has been exposed, they'll likely be ridiculed all the more. –Jennifer Lopez made a number of headlines this week after more or less breaking down during a performance at a celebration at the Mohegan Sun Casino. As you have probably heard if you're a fan of celebrity news, Lopez recently broke up with her husband Marc Anthony, was singing a song called "I'm Into You," which deals with love-related themes. The popular singer became emotional on stage during the performance, and actually had to walk away before finishing the song. It appears she's understandably still upset about her recent break-up, and fans will hope she finds what she needs to cope in the near future. –Another big headline in the last week is that Blake Lively, the actress who has recently become increasingly popular due to roles in The Town and Green Lantern, was spotted with Ryan Reynolds at his apartment in Boston. Not long ago, Reynolds was going steady with Scarlett Johansson, and Blake Lively was recently spotted on vacation with Leonardo DiCaprio. Yet – while the media does tend to read too much into such things – it appears that now the two of them, who starred alongside one another in The Green Lantern (which hit theaters this past summer), may be dating now. | Courtney Stodden’s Pumpkin Patch Problem Posted: 24 Oct 2011 09:25 AM PDT Child bride Courtney Stodden and husband Doug Hutchison were involved in a pumpkin patch pileup over the weekend in Santa Clarita Valley.
What was supposed to be a family affair, the newlyweds’ horrid behavior left onlookers orange in the face. Not only was their bearing superfluous, but they were smashing the moment for families at the farm…pumpkin problems! Not to mention, the little Miss was inappropriately dressed for the occasion, clothed in itty bitty shorts and a tiny top that barely covered her own jack-o’-lanterns. Eventually, Doug and his wifey were tossed aside where she posed for some more indecent exposure, scary. Following the frightful sight, Courtney howled back: “Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” We want to hear from you! TRICK or TREAT? |

Just another day in the life of Lindsay Lohan. It’s no surprise that she has now fired her business manager. Lou Taylor, who also manages Britney Spears, is doing the walk of shame. Please tell us why, we are all dying to know. Apparently, Lindsay needs more, more, more! More than what Taylor can give. I guess he doesn’t have enough time or energy to put into the troubled actress, but do you blame him? Perhaps this is just a conflict of interest or lack there of. Even though Lohan’s rep says their break up was friendly, I’m pleading the fifth here. That’s all. |
