James Franco‘s father, Douglas Eugene Franco, has passed away.

James’ mother, Betsy Franco, confirmed via-twitter saying, “It is true that my sweet, generous husband passed away. He gave so much to his three sons and me, and to many other people, too.”

Our hearts go out to the Franco family.

Andy Rooney Says ‘Let Me Eat My Dinner’ (Video)

Andy Rooney gave his “last” TV essay Sunday night on “60 Minutes.”

Rooney signed off his long-running “60 Minutes” gig as America’s crank last night by admitting, “I can’t complain about my life.”

About 16 million viewers saw Rooney's "farewell" address, in which he told people that if they see him in a restaurant, now that he's semi-retired, leave him alone and "let me eat my dinner."

Rooney reflected on his life as a writer, noting he became accidentally famous for his end-of-the-show segment on 60 Minutes.

“I spent my first 50 years trying to become well known as a writer, and the next 30 trying to avoid being famous,” he said.

Barbara Walters Keeps Saying The N-Word (Video)

Today on 'The View' Barbara Walters said the N-word not once, but twice!

In a discussion about a situation between presidential candidates, Herman Caine and Rick Perry, the N-word was brought up by co-host Whoopi Goldberg who decided to use the full version of the word.

Then, in a moment so awkward (I even cringed), Barbara Walters repeated it in context twice!

Fellow host Sherri Shepherd became immediately upset.

“I didn’t like the way you said it,” exclaimed Shepherd. “I don’t know if it’s a semantics thing… but something just goes through my body. When you say it, it’s a different connotation.”

While trying to explain herself, Shepherd replied, "I could never explain the way I feel."

Barbara just would not let up and neither would Shepherd.

The ladies went on to say the N-word several more times and things just kept getting more and more awkward.

Come on ladies please, please, please just stop saying it I can't take the awkwardness any longer!

Tupac Sex Tape Emerges

It seems like everyone in Hollywood has a sex tape these days, heck even the dead celebrities have them.

A new sex tape surfaces which features rapper/actor Tupac Shakur receiving oral sex from a groupie.

TMZ reports:

The tape, shot in 1991, begins with a bunch of groupies in a living room during a house party. Tupac walks into the room with his pants down to his ankles, his shirt off … sporting several chains.

Tupac — whose head is shaved — pulls one of the women toward him, and she begins performing oral sex. As she does her thing, an unreleased song of Tupac’s is playing in the background, as Tupac is singing along and dancing, wiggling his hips.

And it gets even better. As the woman services Tupac, who is holding a cocktail in one hand and a blunt in another, Money B from Digital Underground walks over to him. Tupac puts his cocktail arm around Money B, continues singing and dancing … and the woman never stops.

As the tape ends it appears he’s ready to begin sexual intercourse. It’s unclear if there’s another tape.

We’ve learned the person in possession of the tape is making plans to release it.

Ok, wait… are we SURE that Tupac is dead? I mean really, this guy releases albums, films, and now a sex tape posthumously?

Has anyone seen him at Disney World or anything? Any Tupac sightings out there, cuz I would NOT be surprised…

Usher Performs ‘Yeah!’ with Taylor Swift (Video)

Taylor Swift became T-Sweezy, as she performed with Usher on stage, singing his 2004 hit ‘Yeah!’

Speaking of the performance Taylor tweeted to Usher: “I got to say ‘peace up, A-town down’ in atlanta then @UsherRaymondIV came out and sang ‘Yeah!’ with me. I’m thinking ‘is this real life?”

Responding to Tayor, Usher tweeted back, “…AND rocked the stage with Taylor Swift tonight….I’m so superb wit this. The day came together as only my life cause. The boys came out.” How vain.

The following night, she stunned her A-Town fans by welcoming rapper T.I., who just days earlier had been released from a halfway house following an 11-month prison stay.

Taylor shared the photo above saying, “Ahhh!!! Atlanta night 2: My backstage guests: T.I. Nelly and Young Jeezy!! @tip @Nelly_Mo @officialTM103″

Taylor is cute as can be … but she should probably stick with Country.

Dancing With The Stars Week Three Spoilers

Last week, Dancing With The Stars said goodbye to another contestant, Elizabetta Canalis. It was a tough week for most, dancing the Jive and Quickstep, however, this week is a new week, and I think that is a good thing.

Rumor has it that week three is about to get up close and personal. Each contestant will share a personal story before their dashing dance, taking on either the Foxtrot or Waltz. Brace yourself, this is gonna be good!

So what’s the latest? Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer, Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani, David Arquette and Kym Johnson, Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff, Ricki Lake and Derek Hough will rock the Rumba while Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya will tackle the Tango, and Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke will finagle the Foxtrot. Nancy Grace, her assets, and her partner Tristan MacManus will whirl the Waltz and Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas will shimmy the Samba.

Should make for a dazzling good time. Who’s team are you on? Dancing With The Stars is on ABC at 8/7c. Be there tonight and I’ll save you a seat!

Black Eyed Peas Raise $4 Million In NYC

I gotta feeling that it was a rather productive charity event in NYC on Friday. In fact, the Black Eyed Peas raised a pretty $4 million in Central Park for the Robin Hood Foundation, a poverty relief organization. Way to get things started!

This special concert was a rescheduled gig due to bad weather earlier this summer and despite the rain, it did not rain on their parade. “Ain’t nothing wrong with a little bit of rain. The rain stopped us last time but it’s not going to stop us this time…We don’t take no for an answer.”

On September 30th the Peas performed for more than 60,000 adoring fans. They sang their most popular hits: Rock That Body, Imma Be, Stop the Party, Meet Me Half Way, and Where Is The Love. Fergie also entertained with her solo hits Glamorous and Big Girls Don’t Cry before sharing, “This is a dream. There’s not many artists who have played Central Park.” And I bet not too many artists raised $4 million either!

I agree with Will.I.Am, philanthropy IS the fabric of the Black Eyed Peas. A job well done.

Elizabeth Hurley Is Engaged (Photo)

It’s a happy day for Elizabeth Hurley after all she has been through. The Gossip Girl is getting married! Yep, Aussie lover Shane Warne has proposed, and get this…she said yes!

The couple enjoyed a romantic Dunhill dinner yesterday in St. Andrews, and here is a photo to prove it (above). There, Warne got down on bended knee and asked Hurley to be his wife. He presented his leading lady with a gigantic sapphire and diamond ring. I mean, with bling like that who could deny?

Later, a statement was released confirming their engagement:

“Shane Warne has confirmed his engagement to actress Elizabeth Hurley after proposing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Earlier in the day, she had watched Shane play in the second round of the Championship at St Andrews, where he is partnering Australian professional Peter O’Malley in the Team Championship. She was also out on the course today, watching him play at Kingsbarns in the third round.”

This is the couple’s second marriage.

Britney Spears Searches For Homeless Man

I love Britney Spears, I’ll admit it. She’s a sweet southern girl, but not really the sharpest tool in the shed, if you know what I mean. So I don’t know whether to laugh or go ‘awww’.

Brit posted a photo of a homeless man on her twitter account asking for help in locating him. The man in the pic is holding up a cardboard sign that basically claims he needs cash to buy the new Britney Spears cd.

Ever the sweetheart, Brit is looking for the ‘fan’ and posted the following to her twitter account alongside the photo; “If anyone can find this gentleman I’ve got a package with my entire catalog with his name on it…. -Britney”.

Now, the ‘awww’ part comes in with the sweetness of her wanting to do something nice for this man who is down on his luck. The ‘I kinda wanna laugh’ part has to do with the fact that the irony of the sign is lost on her.

I highly doubt that the homeless man with no worldly possessions is likely to have a cd player, let alone actually being a fan. It is more reasonable to assume that he used her name to gain attention and garner a few laughs from passers-by to be more willing to give him a handout.

Personally, I think it’s a brilliant marketing strategy on the part of the gentleman.
