| Wired Exclusive: Death & Taxes CD Release Party Posted: 05 Oct 2011 08:09 PM PDT Last night, Allie is Wired stopped by the World Famous Whiskey a Go Go for the Death & Taxes Inevitable CD Release Party. The star-studded rock bash included performances from Disengaged, Rebelmann, Maxxxwell Carlisle and, of course, Death & Taxes.  Death & Taxes took the stage around 11:00pm and instantly had fans on their feet. They opened with “Trust” which featured stellar vocals from front man Jay Link and face melting guitar riffs.   The band describes themselves as “Something New, Something Old, Something Classic Rock fans can definitely sink their teeth into” and that’s exactly what they are. Fans traveled from all over the country to celebrate the brand’s new CD release. We event spotted fans from Virginia and Washington D.C.! We were treated to a handful of songs from the new Inevitable album and the highlight of my night was catching drummer Izzy Diaz’s drum stick:  The album, which has been nearly half a decade in the making, includes the songs "Trust," "Gone," "Serenity" and the fan-favorite "I Can't Save You." | Madonna Topless Photos Leak (Photos) Posted: 05 Oct 2011 06:21 PM PDT Madge will not be pleased, let me assure you. Around the time that Madonna and Brazilian supermodel Jesus Luz were dating, they were in this photo shoot together and … apparently these leaked photos were taken at the same time. There’s always seedy curtains.  As frightening as these un-Photoshopped photos tend to be, it does reveal that Madonna hasn’t gone under the knife. There's no visible scars. On Monday, SB Nation reported that Madonna would perform at Super Bowl XLVI. The report cited “sources close to the event,” which takes place on February 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. |
| Posted: 05 Oct 2011 05:52 PM PDT Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died in California. Jobs was 56.  In a statement on the company's Web site, Apple announced that Steve Jobs has died at the age of 56. The statement read:
Jobs had always been the public face of Apple, but he began retreating from the spotlight in 2004 when doctors diagnosed him with pancreatic cancer. It was a rare form of the disease, one that could be treated, and Jobs survived. His health, though, continued to deteriorate. His liver failed in 2009, and Jobs took a six-month medical leave. He returned, but was rarely seen. He announced he was resigning as CEO in August, and Tim Cook replaced him as the head the company. |
| Susan Boyle Covers Depeche Mode (Audio) Posted: 05 Oct 2011 03:57 PM PDT Susan Boyle has debuted her rendition of Depeche Mode‘s classic Enjoy The Silence. Susan says of the song, which is taken from her forthcoming third album 'Someone To Watch Over Me.'  “The melody of the song is just beautiful,” Boyle told Rolling Stone, “but really that lyric sounds like it will touch so many people in the way it touched me.” Listen below: What do you think… does it make her sound more edgy? Enjoy The Silence was first a top 10 hit for Depeche Mode in 1990, while Tears For Fears made it to number three with their single Mad World in 1982. Photos of Ashton's cheating ways are now on the cover of the new Star magazine. The pictures were taken in the earlier hours of September 24 at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel, the night Ashton allegedly slept with his 23-year-old mistress, Sara Leal. Oh yeah, it was also his and Demi Moore's ANNIVERSARY… what a D-bag! Rumor has it that Demi is very lonely and the couple is now headed towards a $290 million divorce! In the photos we see Ashton hanging out with a group of young, attractive women including the mistress herself right before he invited her back to his suite. A source reveals that “Within five minutes, they were all naked in the hot tub, making out!” Where are those photos!?! Also, Star has obtained photos of Sara's partying ways of heavy drinking and kissing girls. A friend of Sara reveals that Sara was “always a party girl on the hunt for a rich man to pay her bills. | Tupac Sex Tape Photos Revealed Posted: 05 Oct 2011 07:47 AM PDT It's real! The Tupac sex tape is real and now there is proof! Below is one of three released photos from the no-longer alleged home video of rapper Tupac Shakur engaging (or the lack of) in a sexual act with a woman.
TMZ broke the story earlier this week that a sex tape starring the deceased rapper had emerged and was being shopped around. The 5-minute video shows Tupac receiving oral sex from an unknown woman in 1991 while he is holding a blunt in one hand and a cocktail in the other. There is also an unreleased Tupac song playing in the background to which Shakur sings along and shakes his hips. So I guess it's your move Biggie Smalls, but then again I'm not sure anyone would want to see that sex tape… |
| Posted: 05 Oct 2011 07:19 AM PDT Sadly, Adele is singing a different tune. The Rolling In The Deep singer has suffered a hemorrhage in her vocal cord, giving her no other choice but to cancel the rest of her her US tour. Sorry folks, desperate times call for desperate measures.
The remaining 10 sold out cities included in the cancellations are listed [HERE]. In a heartfelt message to her fans, Adele posted the following statement: “Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself. i follow all the advice im given and stick to regimes, rules and practices to the best of my ability but it seems to simply not be enough. My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I’m gonna be starting up vocal rehab [soon] and start building my over all stamina in my voice, body and mind. I will be back and I’m gonna smash the ball out the park once I’m touring again. I apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do. I know it’s not only disappointing because of the show, but it’s plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. But please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. Kardashian and Humphries dressed the part, wearing complete wedding attire and also played along as Ellen officiated, and they were such good sports. “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate this thing called life! We are gathered here today, because we are the only 300 people who weren’t invited to Kim and Kris’ wedding. It’s been five weeks since your wedding so it’s time to renew your vows.” Repeat after me: “I have to see the video below!” As newlyweds, the power couple sat down with Ellen and dished about their August 20 nuptials. If there was anything they could have done differently, Kim said she would have eloped while Kris would have liked a longer after party. | Did Nancy Grace Fart On DWTS? (Video) Posted: 05 Oct 2011 05:10 AM PDT Is this how it’s going down, Nancy Grace? Nancy’s first couple of weeks on Dancing with the Stars hasn’t been easy. First she suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction — now it appears that she has farted.  Listen closely to the clip of Nancy yakking with Brooke Burke after she waltzed to “Moon River.” You’ll hear what sounds like a fart escaping from someone. As far as we can tell, there are only three possible culprits. Grace finished just ahead of Bono near the bottom. The TV personality scored 21 points for an emotional waltz she dedicated to her now 3-year-old twins, whose lives were at risk after they were born premature. “I always want better scores,” she said after the episode. “But we eked through last week with a 21, and I was happy to get it, so I’m happy to get 21.” So, Nancy Grace… bad luck or genius? |
