New Regency Aquires Film Rights For ‘Fraggle Rock’

Jim Henson creations seem to be very lucrative commodities these days. A new Muppets movie will be hitting theaters soon, and now New Regency has bought the rights to make a feature film of Fraggle Rock!

Normally, New Regency caters more to an adult audience, but since their success with the family oriented Alvin and the Chipmonks series, the company wants to dip it’s wings into that pond yet again.

The rights were picked up on Friday after being shopped around to various interested studios.

For the moment it is unknown whether NR will use puppets in the film, or do a CGI version, but expect details to get sorted out very soon with a writer to be named in the near future.

Fraggle Rock ran on TV for 5 years beginning in 1983.

I wonder… nah, it’s gonna suck. Alvin sucked too… (IMO)

Hilary Swank Fires Manager Over Chechen Blunder

When Oscar award winning actress Hilary Swank attended the 35th birthday bash for Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov earlier this month, she had no idea what she had signed on for.

And now that she has realized that this man is responsible for kidnappings, murders, and other atrocities, Swank is making heads roll.

Swank’s long-time friend and manager Jason Weinberg, was fired last week for booking her to appear at the birthday party for this ‘monster’.

Other people on her team are also being switched up, although it’s said the actress has no plans to leave CAA, the firm who currently represents her.

In an apology given earlier on the incident, Swank said; “I would never intentionally do anything that raised doubts about such commitment. I will continue to donate my time and my financial resources not only to the charities with which I am currently affiliated, but also those dedicated to the preservation of human rights.”

She went on to say “If I had a full understanding of what this event was apparently intended to be, I would never have gone.”

Kinda scary the things that happen when you let other people run your life, no?

New Clips From ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1′ (Videos)

With only 19 days left until Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 hits theaters, new clips have been released to whet the appetite of twi-hards ’round the world.

We will finally get to see the fabled wedding of Bella and Jacob Edward, as well as the impossible pregnancy and maybe even the birth. (Not quite sure where pt.1 ends and pt.2 begins)

Lindsay Lohan had enough of your taunting ways, so she’s fixed her teeth.

Linds was the victim of ridicule, when she flashed what looked like a rotten smile on a red carpet a couple of weeks ago. Posting the below photo to Twitter she said, “Thanks Dr. Dorfman for the zoom… My gums are so sore though!”

The cigarette filled ashtray and glass of (?) is a nice touch, eh?

Lohan has a hearing with Judge Sautner, who could sentence her to a year and a half in jail for violating the terms of her probation.

Taylor Swift Threatens To Sue Over Topless Photo (Photo)

Wholesome country singer Taylor Swift is pissed off because a website called Celeb Jihad has posted a photo of her topless!

Don’t get all panicky yet folks, camp Swift claims that the photo is a fake. And if you look close enough at the face, you can TOTALLY see that it’s NOT her.

The pic in question is of a girl who shares a moderate resemblance to Swift, which was posted with the headline “Taylor Swift Topless Private Pic Leaked?”

Taylor’s lawyers have fired off a cease and desist notice to Celeb Jihad claiming that they used “false pornographic images and false ‘news” about her.

The people behind the site are said to be contemplating their next move.

Dumb and Dumber 2 Is Coming!

It’s been seventeen years since Dumb and Dumber was released, but a few months ago, Jim Carrey began floating the notion that he might be down for a super-belated sequel.

Now, it looks like Dumb and Dumber 2 is becoming a reality.

Deadline reports that writers have been hired to script the film.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels would return to reprise their big-hearted, dim-witted characters Harry and Lloyd.

Michael Lohan Released From Jail, Spewing BS (Video)

Michael Lohan has been released from jail, following a court appearance on domestic violence charges involving Kate Major. Lohan was arrested Tuesday and spent a night behind bars.

The judge set Lohan's bond at $5,000 and ordered him held until at least 6 p.m. “If you even dream about her and you violate my order, you will go to jail,” the judge said to Lohan, who appeared via video dressed in a red jail uniform.

“I did not lay a hand on her. I did not hurt her," a visibly upset Lohan squealed to the press.

“We had an argument about a girl who’s a really bad influence on Kate, and I took the phone out of Kate’s hand and threw it down,” Lohan claimed. “I said I’d had it and that I was leaving, and she panicked. She was worried she’d get stuck with all the bills, so she called the police.”

He accused Major of creating drama to sell her story for a quick tabloid paycheck.

He got her an apartment and they were living together?

As I followed this latest development, I remembered seeing these two fighting on Twitter back in September. It started off with Michael Lohan sharing a photo of his “baby.”

Lohan wrote in a tweet with the photo below, “Me and my baby ….Links by the outdoor firepit……loving it.”

It ended with Kate Major telling Michael to leave her family and friends alone — and to stop avoiding court.

I’m not sure how long ago this photo was taken, but a fan submitted it to Starz Uncut and had this to say about it:

“I cannot believe the little sh*t threw up westside and started acting hard like he got jumped into a gang or something, does he know he could get shot up for something like that.”

A bill that makes unauthorized Web streaming of copyrighted content a felony has sparked fears that artists like Justin Bieber or others who use YouTube could spend up to five years in jail.

The non-profit organization Fight for the Future recently launched a website and campaign named “Free Bieber.” The website refers to a bill that would make posting a video containing any copyrighted work a felony that could result in up to five years in prison.

“But wait … didn’t Justin Bieber get famous by posting YouTube videos of himself singing copyrighted R&B songs?” the website states. “Yep, if this new bill passes, he could get 5 years in jail.”

Bieber fans better sign that petition!

Steven Tyler Slips and Falls, Knocks His Teeth Out

All Steven Tyler wants for Christmas is his two front teeth.

The 63-year-old singer apparently became dizzy due to some gastrointestinal problems and fell in his hotel bathroom.

Tyler suffered cuts and broke two teeth, forcing a one-day delay in a concert in the Paraguayan capital of Asuncion. It’s now scheduled for Wednesday night.

The Paraguayan dentist who treated Tyler says the Aerosmith singer is “doing splendidly.”

The rocker’s manager confirmed to CNN that Tyler "suffered minor injuries as a result of food poisoning.”

This isn't Tyler's first big fall. In 2009, the singer was airlifted to a hospital after tumbling off the stage during a show in South Dakota.

A few months after that fall, the singer did a stint in rehab for pain and sleep medication addiction.

Now I've grown into a woman, and my body has just naturally changed.” Right, someone please get this girl a cheeseburger.

So how does she do it? Rimes simply follows a strict diet including smoothies, fish, chicken, steak, and veggies with a pinch of a hardcore workout regime.

For LeAnn, she’s the happiest she has ever been.

Amy Winehouse Drank Herself To Death Says Coroner

According to the coroner, the late Amy Winehouse died as a direct result of over-consumption of alcohol.

Coroner Suzanne Greenaway has revealed that the singer's blood alcohol level was well over 4 times the legal limit at the time of death.

Apparently, Amy had voluntarily drank an outstanding amount of liquor hours before her death on July 23.

The Winehouse family released this statement, “It is some relief to finally find out what happened to Amy. We understand there was alcohol in her system when she passed away, it is likely a buildup of alcohol in her system over a number of days.”

The statement proceeds, “The court heard that Amy was battling hard to conquer her problems with alcohol and it is a source of great pain to us that she could not win in time. She had started drinking again that week after a period of abstinence.”

“It means a lot to us and from the overwhelming messages of support we have had since Amy died, we know she meant a great deal to people all over the world. We want to thank everyone for that and for their continuing enthusiasm for the Foundation.”

Amy Winehouse passed away at the age of 27.

Dancing With The Stars reveals this week’s elimination…Chaz Bono! Yep, the Phantom of Broadway has been eliminated on tonight’s results show but it’s been “an amazing journey.”

“I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man. If there was somebody like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different.”

Last night Chaz and his dance partner Lacey Schwimmer tackled the Tango to Broadways’ musical Phantom of the Opera. Their performance earned them a 19 out of 30 possible points, landing the unaggressive duo at the bottom of the Showtunes Scoreboard.

It’s been quite the challenge for the transgender activist, surrounded by continuous criticism from the judge’s panel and viewers alike. But what I like most about Chazzy boy is his will to survive. For him, it may be more of a personal competition of acceptance rather than ballroom boogie.

Those returning to the ballroom dance floor are the remaining six contestants, including Hope Solo who was also in jeopardy tonight: David Arquette, J.R. Martinez, Nancy Grace, Ricki Lake, and Rob Kardashian.

Tune in next week for another week of dancing on DWTS Mondays 8/7c and Tuesdays 9/8c. I’ll save you a seat!

Tony Romo Is Pregnant

With no foul on the play, he says: “I’ve actually got one on the way. My wife’s pregnant.”

Tony and Candice Crawford tied the knot earlier this year.

Justin Bieber Wants To Make Another Movie

All you Beliebers can rejoice because your idol, Justin Bieber may be hitting the big screen again!

Even though Bieber is busier than ever with his current tour wrapping up and his new holiday album coming out, the young pop star wants to do more, specifically movies.

And of course the burning question is: How will Justin find time to do a movie when he’s got a brand new puppy at home with Selena Gomez? (eye-roll)

The busy singer revealed to MTV News, "What’s happening is: get off this tour, and then my [holiday] album’s coming out, so I have to go back out and promote that album … and then after that … it’s almost time for my next album, so then everything starts over again.”

Then Justin said the words that I'm made every Belieber squeal, “Hopefully next summer I can start on a movie or something.”

Bieber didn’t reveal what kind of movie he wanted to do, but he did say that his team was “working on the script.”

This won't be Justin's first time on the big screen, last year the Biebs released his box-office success "Never Say Never."

The pop star has shown an interest in acting ever since he guest-starred on “CSI” last year, even though some on the set called him a brat and annoying.

Oh and just in case you didn't know Justin thought he was funny, he also revealed that he wants "to do a comedy with Will Ferrell, like play his son or something like that.”

SHOCKER – Tara Reid Lied About Being Married (Video)

Remember when Tara Reid posted a photo of her HUGE engagement ring on Twitter?

After tweeting about her engagement, hours later Reid tweeted a picture of her all white wedding on the island of Santorini, saying, “Just got married in Greece I love being a wife!”. Reid had a quickie wedding to Bulgarian financier Zack Kehayov in the Greek Isles.

Since August, Reid frequently tweeted messages of love and posted pictures of her relationship, always referring to Kehayov as her “husband”.

Well… it was all a big fat lie!

Tara just collected a check from Life & Style for wedding pictures from a wedding that never happened.

When paparazzi caught up with the actress after her flight yesterday and asked if she and her husband could win the Newlywed Game, an exhausted looking Reid said they “were never really married” because they never legalized their union in the United States.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Getting Married?

After what seemed like a century of fighting and drama, Kourtney Kardashian and long time boyfriend Scott Disick are ready to tie the knot!

The couple has survived five years of being on-again-off-again and sources are beginning to surface saying the couple may be walking down the aisle.

A close source reveals to OK! "In the past, she didn’t put much emphasis on getting married, but the idea has really grown on her. They have talked it to death and she said if it’s what Scott really wants, then she wants it too.”

Family friend, Jonathan Cheban also reveals, “They’re very happy. It’s such a great relationship.”

Even momager, Kris Jenner wants the wedding to happen saying, "When Mason was born, Scott was more of a hot mess, but now he’s really turned his life around and been amazing. He’s such a great partner to Kourtney.”

It wasn't too long ago that the Kardashian clan absolutely despised Scott Disick and would have cringed at the thought of the two getting married. But now that Scott has cleaned up his act and ditched his partying ways it seems like everyone is eagerly awaiting a third Kardashian fairytale wedding.

Michael Lohan Arrested For Domestic Violence … AGAIN!

Michael Lohan is sitting in a Tampa, Florida jail this morning after getting arrested on suspicion of domestic violence charges.

Lindsay Lohan‘s role-model father was arrested after they responded to reports of a fight with Kate Major. Again with these two!

Michael complained of chest pains when he was taken into custody, so police took him to the hospital. After being treated, Michael attempted to sneak out of the hospital, until an officer caught him.

Do people still use the word moron?

Michael was last arrested for domestic violence back in March, after an alleged fight with Major. He also complained of chest pains during that arrest. Michael needs some new tricks.

According to the report [see docs], Kate told police Michael came over to her Tampa apartment last night, when he began to yell at her about an upcoming domestic violence court hearing.

Major claims Lohan pushed her multiple times and squeezed her arms. She claims Mike also told her he would “slit both his wrist and her wrist. He also threatened to throw her off the balcony (4th floor).”

Lohan also spoke with police, insisting last night’s incident was triggered by a sexual encounter, described in graphic detail in the police report.

“[Kate Major] did not want Michael to ejaculate inside her. Michael Lohan stated he did ejaculate in her and his girlfriend got very angry.”

Lohan has also attempted to sell Kate’s nude photos.

To think that Michael recently told Radar that his daughter needs a year in rehab and he will be there for her to guide her along the road to sobriety. What a crock of crap!

Lindsay Lohan Goes Nude For Playboy

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t done a lot of acting lately, but she has done a lot of modeling — will the pages of Playboy be next?

TMZ is reporting that the jailbird recently inked a deal to pose nude all for Hugh Hefner's magazine for a mere $1 million. Desperate much?

Asked whether or not Lohan's posing for Playboy, her publicist Steve Honig said, "I cannot confirm or deny at this time." When asked about her reported compensation, Honig said, "We never discuss Lindsay's compensation as a matter of policy."

In court last week, Lohan's attorney noted that the 25-year-old star is working to support not just herself but also her family.

Justin Bieber Thinks He’s ‘Iron Man’ (Photo)

First he was this little kid with a weird front swept hairdo, then he changes his look so that he resembles a woman…Now he’s channeling Iron Man?

Justin Bieber posted a couple photos to his Populagram account yesterday that have left fans and naysayers alike nearly speechless.

The photos appear to have been taken at some sort of garage or barn where old stuff has gone to die. He is prominently displaying the metal-looking-glove-thingy-with-the-power-core-inside on his right arm… uh huh…

Has the kid’s good sense gone AWOL? Is this a preview of his Halloween costume? Or has his stylist finally topped himself with this ridiculous look?

There’s one thing I’m almost sure of, Selena Gomez did NOT approve this look! (LOL)

I did notice however, that despite the new appearance, the kid STILL needs to pull up his damn pants! GEEZ! (LOL)

I send a call out to you readers out there to make up your mind and let us know what you think happened here. Goodness knows I can’t make sense of the madness.
