| JCPenney Uses Justin Bieber To Sell A Shirt (Photo) Posted: 31 Aug 2011 10:58 PM PDT JCPenney has jumped the ‘bad taste’ bandwagon, by selling a long-sleeved shirt with the words “I’m Too Pretty To Do Homework, So My Brother Has to Do it For Me.” It gets worse. “Who has time to do homework when there’s a new Justin Bieber album out,” the ad copy for the shirt reads. “She’ll love this shirt that’s just as cute and sassy as she is.”  Kate Coultas of JCPenney corporate communications told the Village Voice, “We are not happy about the shirt! We’re looking into it right now, to find out how it happened. It was only online, not available in stores, and we have removed it from the site.” People are damn mad. There’s even an online petition against it circulating, with over 1,600 signatures. Is there no end to Justin Bieber’s destruction? |

It has been almost 13 years since the original American Pie movie became a hit.  In a photo-booth style slideshow, cast members from the new sequel pose and make silly faces like it was prom again. Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Eugene Levy, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Alyson Hannigan, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, Jennifer Coolidge and even John Cho are reprising their roles for the film which hits theaters on April 6th, 2012. |

Marc Anthony is setting the record straight on his breakup from Jennifer Lopez. Anthony sat down with ABC’s “Nightline” and stated that the crumbling of their marriage “wasn’t something sensationalistic.” The tabloids have claimed Anthony was unfaithful, but he says the truth is the union no longer worked. He also says the decision was mutual. The pair announced their split in July after seven years of marriage. The couple has 3-year-old twins named Max and Emme. Anthony says he wants to move forward with his life and career. He summarizes his situation as “not a funeral, not a burial.” How does Jennifer feel? “I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer,” Lopez told Vanity Fair. “We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic-—and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.” The full interview will air Thursday night on ABC’s “Nightline.” |
| Rapper T.I. Leaves Jail And Enters Reality TV Posted: 31 Aug 2011 12:13 PM PDT Rapper T.I. has been released from prison today. The spokeman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Chris Burke confirms that T.I. was released at 7:29 AM. The rapper was sentenced to 11 months of imprisonment after a drug possession arrest on the Sunset Strip in September 2010.
According to T.I.'s attorney the rapper will finish the rest of his sentence in a halfway house in Atlanta. On a lighter note, the recently released rapper has started filming a post-prison reality show for VH1. Apparently the show will follow T.I. as he adjusts to life as a free man since being imprisoned for almost a year. Will the show be a hit or should it be kept on lockdown? | Brand Sense: ‘Britney Spears’ Conservatorship Is A Sham’ Posted: 31 Aug 2011 08:55 AM PDT
A Los Angeles judge has denied a request from a company called Brand Sense, who was attempting to gain access to Britney Spears‘ medical information. Brand Sense sued Britney in March for $10 million, claiming her camp went behind its back and screwed the company out of a 35 percent cut of the royalties from Britney’s Elizabeth Arden fragrance deal. The judge said that Brand Sense was seeking access to the records not out of interest for Spears welfare but only for reasons that were “adverse for Ms. Spears.” The judge also looked visibly angry, saying she knew Brand Sense said “the conservatorship was a sham,” an assertion not supported by facts. A separate judge decided last month that the brand-marketing firm could not depose Spears because she’s not competent to testify on her own behalf. |

Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey are expecting a baby! Susan, his wife of six years, is pregnant with her first child and is due February. “Robert and Susan could not be more excited over this news,” Downey’s rep tells People. “They can’t wait to welcome this new baby into their wonderful family.” The couple were married in 2005. They met on the set of the film “Gothika,” which Susan co-produced. Downey has an 18-year-old son, Indio, from his first marriage to Deborah Falconer. Robert received Oscar nominations for his roles in “Chaplin” and “Tropic Thunder.” His film credits also include “Sherlock Holmes” and the “Iron Man” films. |
