| Christina Aguilera and Cher in Burlesque Posted: 30 Aug 2010 03:40 PM PDT What do you get when you combine two divas (both sporting similar, heavy-banged hairdos), lots of corseted costumes featuring fishnets, and a small-town girl searching for big-town dreams? You get Christina Aguilera and Cher in an upcoming flick, Burlesque.  I’m not sure if those are photos of the lead actresses or just CGI recreations, given how unwrinkled and generally inhuman they both look, but that stylization is pretty much the point. I also like the idea that the title runs between Cher and Christina because they’re such huge divas they had to be split up. Cher can do no wrong in my eyes — so I’ll be watching. “Burlesque” is slated for release on November 24th. |

He read the guido handbook and knows the only way to Snooki’s heart is pickles, tanning lotion and proposing on the cover of a snazzy publication like “Steppin’ Out”.  In the interview, he said, “I want us to be together forever. I could see us having children. I want to pop the question to her. If we got married we would be the best parents around. She’s so loving and puts everyone else before her self. She’ll be a great mother. I love her and want to be with her. I will never break her heart. She’s such a great girl. If people could see us together they would think we’re a match made in heaven. People think I’m using her for fame. But that’s bullsh*t." Well, it’s kind of obvious to me that he’s using her for fame. If he weren’t then we wouldn’t even know who he is. He’d just be that guy who’s bangin’ Snooki. Now we know his full name, his military history, his relationship status and his shoe size. Just kidding, we don’t care about his shoe size. This just gives hope to overtanned fat midgets everywhere. And of course, Betty White was there, so that makes everything alright!  They already gave out the only Emmy anyone was actually interested in last week, when Betty White won Oldest-Ever Saturday Night Live Host. Why bother with the rest? Incidentally, this was Betty’s 7,351st Emmy, a new record. | Justin Bieber Wants Miley Cyrus For ‘Grease’ Remake Posted: 30 Aug 2010 09:13 AM PDT Justin Bieber wants to star as Danny Zuko for a remake of the classic movie, “Grease”. And what else does the Biebz want? Miley Cyrus, that’s what!  Justin feels that he would make a good Danny and that Miley should be his Sandy. Aww, it’s a match made in teenage heaven. He said, “It would be a lot of fun. It’s been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny.” As far as his leading lady is concerned, he said, “If I had to pick my perfect Sandy I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act.” Apparently Justin hasn’t seen any of her movies, but we’ll let that one slide. He added, “I would really want some great people to star in it. Wouldn’t Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee? We’d just need to write it into the script that she broke into song. I am obsessed with Susan Boyle. When I look at her original audition it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.” Who else does he have plans for in his movie version? He said, “I would love to include Cheryl Cole in the movie as well if she was up for it. She would look great in the Rydell High cheerleading uniform.” It’s no secret that Justin has been crushing on Cheryl, so that doesn’t surprise me. However, I’m still shocked that he wants Miley. | Britney Spears ‘Radiance’ Television Commercial (Video) Posted: 30 Aug 2010 09:12 AM PDT Britney Spears is back…with her latest perfume ad. The pop star and successful fragrancier released the latest promo spot for her, count 'em, 9th perfume! In the clip for "Radiance," Spears is seen all glammed up ditching a Hollywood premiere and its evasive paparazzi through the back exit. Making her way down a city sidewalk, she stops a fortune teller's salon.  Once inside, Brit's new psychic friend offers her a look inside her crystal ball. Seemingly tempted, Spears backs off with a simple yet sexily cooed, "No thanks. I choose my own destiny." "Radiance," which uses the tagline "Choose Your Own Destiny," sees Spears teaming up with Elizabeth Arden again for the eau de parfum. The fragrance reportedly features touches of wild berries and soft florals with tuberose, jasmine, orange flower and iris. The feminine scent also comes in an eye-popping blue and pink rhinestone encrusted bottle. It's already on sale on the Elizabeth Arden website for $59 for a 3.3 fl. oz. bottle. |
| Lady Gaga Accused Of Plagiarism By Brooke Aldridge Posted: 30 Aug 2010 08:41 AM PDT Just as Lady Gaga is breaking new ground with her ultra catchy music and crazy performance art, someone comes out of the woodwork to claim that she’s ripping them off.  Brooke Aldridge claims that Gaga ripped off her song, “Life On Hold”. Reportedly, “Telephone” bears an uncanny resemblance to the song, but I’ve been unable to confirm that. I’ve searched high and low for the Minneapolis based musician’s work, but have been unable to locate anything she’s done.
I’ve just located Brooke’s Myspace page and have listened to “Life On Hold”. I don’t find any resemblance to Gaga’s music whatsoever. This sounds like a baseless claim and Gaga should not be worried at all.
