| Lisa Kudrow’s ‘Web Therapy’ Picked Up By Showtime Posted: 21 Apr 2010 07:31 PM PDT Showtime has purchased all those funny little Lisa Kudrow “Web Therapy” shows where Kudrow plays an advice guru dispensing via the Internet.  Now Showtime plans to convert them into three 5-minute segments, which it plans to insert into the pay channel lineup “in some interstertial stuff.” Web Therapy is an improvised online television series starring Emmy award winning actress Lisa Kudrow as Fiona Wallice, a therapist who has conceived of a new form of therapy; namely the titular Web Therapy. In her estimation, the traditional “50 minute hour” version of therapy gives people too much leeway to talk about irrelevant things. By dramatically shortening session time, she hopes to get results more quickly. Her sessions take place via webcam over the internet. They are taped in the hope to attract investors into streamlining her new technique as a worldwide therapy option. A dark comedy, much of the humor revolves around Fiona’s obvious self-interests and how they overshadow her legitimate ability to suss out people’s issues quickly and effectively. (For instance, in Season 1 Episode 2 “Sibling Ribaldry”, she manages to completely clarify a couple’s romantic emotional issues in thirty seconds, but does so only to bring them around so that she can then film them discussing more trivial sexual issues that are more shocking.) The series has featured appearances by a number of prominent comedians and actors including Bob Balaban, Rashida Jones, Tim Bagley, Dan Bucatinsky, Jane Lynch and Courteney Cox. Web Therapy is currently filming a third season with guest stars such as Julia Dreyfuss and Selma Blair. |
| Posted: 21 Apr 2010 04:05 PM PDT If you’ve been on Twitter at all today, then you may have noticed that blogger Perez Hilton has been at war with reality douchebag Spencer Pratt. And if you’re not cracking up at all of their digs at each other, then you might wanna check your pulse.  For some odd reason, the existence of Lauren Conrad’s rumored sex tape came up. Perez says that he was told of its existence by Spencer. Spencer claims that Perez said that he had confirmation from Jason Wahler of the sex tape. And the hilarity ensues!  The funny thing about their fight is that they’re both right. Perez has a failed fashion site (can you think of the name?), his music label sucked and people probably wouldn’t be his friends if they didn’t fear his blogging wrath. On the same token, Spencer is a mediawhore who is used to fake things and is a moron. The good news is that they might both have to box it out on TMZ, where both of their douchieness will be epic. | Scott Baio’s Twitter War With Jezebel Posted: 21 Apr 2010 03:08 PM PDT Jezebel took the liberty of posting the below tweet from Scott Baio, stating that he was paying taxes for lazy people to get medical care, housing and food. They presented the tweet without comment, yet apparently, he took offense to it.  The next day, seemingly unamused that he was quoted by the popular site, he posted the below photo of a bikini clad girl on a broomstick as his definition of Jezebel.  Afterward, Scott’s wife, Renee, decided to hop into the mix and unleashed a hateful and nasty rant on Facebook. The following language is NSFW, so we’ve got it after the jump!  In the Jezebel attack, she must’ve gotten some hate comments from lesbian tirade, so she posted the following comments as an explanation.  She thinks that because she has lesbian friends, that it’s okay to post hateful comments like that. Such a shame. Think she’s just mad because she had Chachi’s baby? Scott had the last word in the worthless tirade, saying “waa”:  So much ado about nothing. | Samantha Ronson Spit On Lindsay Lohan? Posted: 21 Apr 2010 02:09 PM PDT I know that’s a gross thing to think about, so I apologize if you haven’t yet digested your lunch. According to Lindsay Lohan last night, ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson spit in her face.  LiLo tweeted the above message, accusing Sam of spitting on her and leaving with Miley Cyrus’ ex-boyfriend. Unsurprisingly, Samantha followed that tweet with a message of her own. She said, “Guess what didn’t happen tonight……” What I’m thinking happened is that the two decided to have a bit of a conversation, when a tiny bit of spittle came out of Sam’s mouth. Lindsay decided to be overly dramatic about the whole thing and say that Sam spit in her face. Leave it to Lindsay to act all High School about everything, right? It used to be cute how they would go back and forth with their Twitter repartee, but now it’s just sad. What do you think? Someone needs to stop Lindsay from crack tweeting already. | Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie To Marry For Their Kids Posted: 21 Apr 2010 12:35 PM PDT Even though Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have said that they wouldn’t get married until it was legal for everyone, rumor has it that they’re planning to get hitched for the sake of their rainbow nation of children.  Reportedly, the couple have finally decided that marriage is right for them, after being nagged about it by their kids. A snitch said that the kids have been wanting their parents to get married ever since they’ve been old enough to understand that Brad and Angie aren’t husband and wife. The source said, “First it was Maddo, who has begged his parents to tie the knot for years. Lately, Shiloh and Zahara have been chiming in, and Pax thinks it would just be the coolest thing ever to be a ring bearer.” I don’t get what a seven-year-old child or even younger’s influence would have to do with someone getting married. Are they even old enough to know what marriage is? And if Pax thinks it would be cool to be a ring bearer, it’s probably just because he thinks he would look cool in a suit.
