Student Sent Home for ‘Lady Gay Gay’ Shirt Posted: 08 Apr 2010 01:20 AM PDT This should be illegal. Greenbrier High School in White House, Tenn. sent a student home Monday on the grounds that his "I (Heart) Lady Gay Gay" T-shirt caused a "disruption," prompting allegations of a free-speech violation. The shirt refers to gay icon Lady Gaga. According to NBC affiliate WSMV-TV in Nashville,
Julie Gordon said she believes her 15-year-old son is being singled out.
While shirts with the word "gay" on them are not specifically banned, the Robertson County School Board leaves it to principals to interpret the dress code. Administrators said they feared an escalation in the tense atmosphere sparked by a recent fight. The school invited Julie Gordon to appeal the dress code. What does Lady Gaga have to say about it? |
Heidi Montag Releases New Song, ‘Bionic’ - Audio Posted: 08 Apr 2010 12:36 AM PDT The plastic princess and queen of back scoops, Heidi Montag, has uploaded a new song, titled, “Bionic”, to her official Youtube account. The song relies heavily on autotune, so much that you can’t really understand the words that she’s singing. Even better, you can’t even tell if it’s her who’s singing. Lovely. This type of thing makes me weep for our future, people. The full title of the song is “Bionic (Energetic, Enthusiastic, Adventurous)”, which makes it that more difficult to enjoy. She must think Christina Aguilera is trying to be like her with hew new album title, too. Because this chick thinks she’s bigger than the King of Pop. Ha! I suggest listening to this song at your own risk. Yes, it’s that bad. Enjoy. Or not. |

Justin Bieber Hates This Photo Posted: 07 Apr 2010 10:38 PM PDT Justin Bieber looks to be all teeth on the cover, and he’s not afraid to admit his hatred of it. Do you blame him? Justin took to his Twitter and said:
Poor guy… I hate when ugly photos of me get circulated too. I wonder why he doesn’t get to approve the cover shot? source: Justin Bieber Will Chomp On Your Soul! [dlisted] |
Michael Lohan & Kate Major Engaged; Lindsay Wants To Vomit Posted: 07 Apr 2010 12:00 PM PDT Michael Lohan and former “Star” magazine reporter Kate Major have announced their engagement, which has prompted Lindsay to announce that she wants to vomit. And, no, it’s not because of all of the alcohol she consumed last night. Of their engagement, Michael said that they spent the holiday with Kate’s family so that he could get approval. He is 50-years-old to her mere 27 years, I can’t imagine bangin’ someone that old, but whatever floats her boat. (Money.) Kate said, “I’m very traditional, so I wanted him to talk to my father. Michael went down with me to Florida for Easter, to meet my father to ask for his permission, and my father gave his blessing. I’m ecstatic. I’m very happy. Michael and I have known each other for four years, and it’s meant to be.” Michael added, “I’m ecstatic. I’ve never met anyone who’s been there for me like Kate. She’s always been there for me. The one thing about Kate is that she doesn’t come with baggage.” Meanwhile, after hearing that someone only a few years older would be her stepmom, Lindsay said the whole thing makes her want to puke. She said, “I’m gonna vomit! I so didn’t need that info … Yuck!” I never thought I would say this, but I agree with Lindsay. source: Lindsay Lohan’s Father Engaged to Kate Major - [people] |
Winona Ryder Is Making A Comeback! Posted: 07 Apr 2010 11:41 AM PDT Winona Ryder, who used to be a staple among the young movie actresses, has decided to come out of her shell and star in a movie sometime this decade! Just kidding, she has starred in some, um, decent (?) movies this decade. But this new Ron Howard comedy will mark her as a comeback actress. You know, the one that we grew up with and came to know and love. Winona has landed herself a role in the upcoming Ron Howard comedy, previously titled, “Cheaters”, alongside Kevin James and Vince Vaughn.
In the movie, Geneva cheats on her husband and his best friend (Vaughn) finds out. This pits the wife and the best friend against each other. It sounds cute, I can’t wait to see her in something that highlights her acting talent again. I loved her in “Girl, Interrupted” and of course, “Heathers”. Will you go see her in this? I know I will! source: Career rebound for Winona? Actress lands key role in Ron Howard-directed, Vince Vaughn-starring comedy - [ew] |

American Idol: Beatles Night Reincarnated Posted: 07 Apr 2010 09:03 AM PDT Instead of calling it "Beatles Night," American Idol called it Lennon/McCartney night. It happens every year and every year someone tackles "Let It Be" or "Imagine." Katie Stevens was the one to tackle "Let it Be."
Katie was described as full of energy and "everyone's little sister who likes to bust out into dance randomly. She is also a fan of Joy Han's Voom collection. (Click HERE to see more on her outfit choices.) Surprisingly, it was one of her best performances. Randy was squeezing with glee and dubbed her top nice material. Andrew Garcia followed with "Can't by Me Love" while I battled imagines of Patrick Dempsey riding a lawn mower in a cowboy hat ( I know this totally dates my age for you), the corny factor took over. Randy said it was "alright." Ellen loved it, but Kara and Simon Cowell were less enthusiastic. Simon busted out the "corny" word again to describe him.
Big Mike switched things up a bit and sang "Eleanor Rigby" and gave what Cowell deemed an "overly dramatic performance" which Kara, Randy and Ellen loved "the parts that worked."
Regardless of Simon's dissension on the judges' opinions I think that he will have the fan base to help him breeze through. They spent most of their time arguing about the relevancy of his style, Big Mike just smiled. Good for him.
Crystal Bowersox once again delivered. She chose one of the more intriguing Beatles songs, "Come Together." It was my favorite of the night not just because she is my overall fav, but because I could actually see myself buying her first CD. The judges had to wait for the crowd to calm down before giving critique. They all unanimously loved it. Randy was a bit lukewarm about it, but Ellen, Kara and Simon felt it was one of her best performances. Now, for the one I am guessing sang his last song… Sorry Aaron Kelly, but I am guessing you will be in the bottom with Tim Urban and you don't have the cheek bones to compete.
I really did feel sorry for this kid. He seems like a nice guy, but I was lulled to sleep with his cruise ship style performance. |
