| Cyndi Lauper to Open Shelter for Homeless Posted: 07 Apr 2010 12:19 AM PDT Cyndi Lauper is helping establish Manhattan’s first permanent housing for homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth in Harlem. Many homeless LGBT youth face violence in mainstream shelters, forcing them to rely on a small network of gay-friendly facilities, advocates say.  The True Colors Residence, set to open in winter 2011, will provide young people between 18 and 24 with a place to live while helping them get back on their feet.
The residence, which will be built on W. 154th Street near Frederick Douglas Boulevard, was the brainchild of Lauper, her publicist Lisa Barbaris, and Colleen Jackson, executive director of the West End Intergenerational Residence, an Upper West Side facility geared toward young families and older low-income adults. (True Colors Residence) The 80s pop singer, known for her hits “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “True Colors,” will donate money for the facility through her True Colors Fund, is an honorary board member and is championing and promoting it, Jackson said.
Currently, there are four emergency shelters and two transitional living shelters that house youths for up to two years. The True Colors Residence will provide young people with a permanent residence. The six-story building will contain 30 studio apartments, a communal space, a library and computer room. It’s expected to cost roughly $11 million. Adam Lambert recently sat down and talked about his personal style, the designs he likes to wear and how he comes up with all his delicious outfits.  Lambert’s voice captured America. His makeup brought us the term “guyliner.” And his style is sharp — literally. At Fashion Week, he wore a glove with claws, designed by the Blonds. In other news, Adam Lambert will be a mentor on American Idol, as the singer confirmed via his Twitter:
The theme for next week’s performance show has not yet been announced Lambert also announced that he will release a new EP containing remixes of his first two singles — “For Your Entertainment” and “Whataya Want from Me” — and a third track from his debut album entitled “Voodo.” The “Remixes” EP will be released on Lambert’s Web site adamofficial.com on Friday and to digital retailers next Tuesday. |

Let’s just say, Janice has a very interesting view on things.  Why the venture into music? “The gays need more money. My gays need more money for AIDS and AIDS research. Elton John, pediatric AIDS — we need to find a cure for AIDS. I'm obsessed. Here's the deal: I love my daughter, she's out there, Mother's Day is coming, Mother's Day to all you queers, but we need to find more money for AIDS. | New Trailer & First Look At ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ - Video Posted: 06 Apr 2010 07:53 PM PDT We’ve just found this new trailer and first clip of the new Freddie Krueger movie, “A Nightmare On Elm Street” and it’s crazy!  Jackie Earle Haley stars as Freddie and reinvents the movie villain that we’ve all come to know and fear in our dreams - at least, when we were kids. Of all of the movie remakes, it looks like Michael Bay has really made this one scarier. I didn’t even think that was possible. Did you? | ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week Three Results Show Posted: 06 Apr 2010 05:47 PM PDT “Dancing With The Stars” kicked off tonight with a brief recap of last night’s performances. When asked who he would like to see dance again tonight, Len Goodman said Evan and Anna.  Evan took his fine self back up there and did the Quickstep in his hot little suit. Did I mention I’m team Evan? Up next, country singer Reba McIntyre took to the stage to perform a set. This is the point where I muted the television set. On a side note, however, I do like Reba’s hair. Mark Ballas, Derek Hough and Chelsie Hightower performed a saucy Paso Doble. That was the hotness. I think I’ve found a new appreciation for Derek. Reba took to the stage for another set and [enter mute button here] she looked like she was rockin’ it. Jake, Buzz and Kate are all in the bottom three, but they’ll be whittling that down to two, in just a moment. Jake and Chelsie and Buzz and Ashly are in the bottom two, which means Kate Gosselin is safe. UGH. So who’s getting the boot? It’s Buzz Aldrin! Can you believe Kate beat him out?!?! What?!? |

| Robert Pattinson On The Set Of ‘Bel Ami’ - Photos Posted: 06 Apr 2010 03:09 PM PDT Robert Pattinson is on location in Budapest, filming his latest flick, “Bel Ami”. In a new interview with The Sun, Rob talks about the fame that he hasn’t earned, saying that he thought he would have to be in films for roughly ten years before acquiring the sort of fame that was seemingly handed to him.  Rob says that his fame has cost him some friendships, being as it’s hard to keep a friendship alive when you haven’t spoken to his mates in a year. He said, “I've been forced to stay in a hotel for the last three years. It's frustrating. I almost gave in and bought a house in Hollywood. But luckily I realized how insanely expensive that is and I don't even know if I'll still be working next year. I'm comforted by my guitar - my true companion that travels everywhere with me. I didn't need this in the past, until I got back to London and found out I had lost my whole social life. It's tough maintaining it when you don't speak to anyone for over a year. I am now trying to get back in touch with some friends through Skype.” Since becoming famous, Rob says that he’s also found it difficult to cultivate new friendships because he’s suspicious of anyone’s intentions. He added, “Being well known is a real burden. I'm less open and have noticed that I'm actually getting paranoid. If people push themselves on me I find it grueling and repulsive. If I even think someone wants to approach me I feel the need to scream, 'What do you want of me'. Then later I think, 'What if this person only wanted to be nice?'” I do have to say that he looks much hotter in these photos than he ever has in any of the “Twilight” ones. | Nicollette Sheridan Attacked by Marc Cherry ?!? Posted: 06 Apr 2010 07:05 AM PDT
A lawsuit erupted over at camp "Desperate Housewives." Nicollette Sheridan is suing the brains behind the show claiming that he hit her in the head and face after she confronted him about a script issue. The price tag on this claim is just over $20 million.
Her story surrounds the date of September 24, 2008. Sheridan stated that Cherry "took her aside" and then "forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head." The tale further weaves ABC into the incident. She claimed to have reported the incident to the network and nothing was done. Subsequently, the abuse continued according to Nicollette.
ABC is rolling their eyes at the claims and told TMZ:
I haven’t watched this mess in years. Nothing about it was intriguing past the first few seasons. Although, Cherry did make his start under the wing of Dixie Carter during her “Designing Women” days. I loved that sassy queen. What Others Said: Dlisted: "If this mess is true, Marc needs to go sit next to the vending machine in the break room and leave the slapping to the professionals." The Superficial – "I’m not ruling out the fact Marc Cherry is a Log Cabin Republican and therefore spends each day teetering on the verge of insanity." |

Eva Longoria wore her Smyth Sharp Shoulder Blazer on the “Jimmy Kimmel Show” and outside her restaurant Beso in Hollywood on April Fool's Day. Kristen Bell wore it on “The George Lopez” show in late January.
