| Eva Longoria & Tony Parker Sued Over Car Accident Posted: 26 Oct 2010 10:49 PM PDT Eva Longoria was in a bit of a fender bender last week, and now the other driver is suing her and her husband, Tony Parker. The second driver, Roman Gasparyan, claims that he was in the median waiting to make a left turn when Eva, coming from the opposite direction, hit his BMW. He claims that she “made a sudden lane change into the median lane” where she collided with his vehicle.  In addition to the damage to his vehicle, he claims that he also suffered mentally and physically and is suing the celebrity couple for unspecified damages. Tony is included in the lawsuit because is the registered owner of the vehicle she was driving. | Posted: 26 Oct 2010 07:44 PM PDT After ten years of existence, peer-to-peer music sharing service LimeWire is joining Napster, Kazaa, and all the rest. LimeWire will abide by a court-ordered injunction today and begin to disable the file-sharing and music-searching features of its P2P software. Years of legal battles and the prospects of paying astronomical fines finally did the service in.  “This is an official notice that LimeWire is under a court-ordered injunction to stop distributing and supporting its file-sharing software. Downloading or sharing copyrighted content without authorization is illegal.” TechCrunch reports that the company, LimeCompany, will soldier on. Transitioning to a music store or legal streaming music service, however, will be tough. It fought a good fight, and lasted longer than most other P2P services. Partly that was because there was usually a bigger P2P sharing service freaking out the music industry. Once the lawyers got rid of those, they finally got around to LimeWire. Still, it took them the better part of a decade to get LimeWire to comply with an injunction. I always thought those file sharing sites were only good at passing viruses — I never stopped buying CD’s. What are your thoughts, do you file share? |

| ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Week Six Elimination Recap Posted: 26 Oct 2010 05:55 PM PDT It’s results night on this week’s “Dancing With The Stars” and it’s anyone’s guess as to who’s going to be sent packing! Kurt Warner didn’t do so hot last night, so I’m thinking he’s going to be the next victim.  Starting the elimination, they’ve announced that Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya are safe, along with Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas. This leaves Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough in jeopardy. The judges asked to see Bristol and Mark’s Tango again. Ugh. I just wanna barf. How does she continue to escape elimination? Heart performed their hit song, “Barracuda”, much to my liking. They rocked! The next couple safe are Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke, leaving Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer in jeopardy. Performing her new song, “Get Outta My Way” off of her new album, “Aphrodite”, is Kylie Minogue. Her performance was nothing special. Where’s Heart? The next couple safe are Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, leaving Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani in jeopardy. So who got eliminated on tonight’s show??? Audrina and Tony! |
| Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - Teaser Trailer Posted: 26 Oct 2010 11:52 AM PDT Captain Jack Sparrow and his latest adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is set to sail into theaters on May 20, 2011. Along for the ride are Geoffrey Rush, a pregnant Penelope Cruz and Keith Richards reprising his role as Sparrows’ father.
It has been reported that most, if not all of Richards scenes in the film are to be cut out, due to admissions of past drug use in a book he recently published entitled “Life“. Obviously Disney doesn’t want it’s name sullied. Were the people at Disney really the last ones to know that Keith Richards is a famous druggie? I think so! | Greyson Chance Performs New Song, ‘Waiting Outside The Lines’ - Video Posted: 26 Oct 2010 10:48 AM PDT Greyson Chance rose to popularity and fame when he performed Lady Gaga’s song, “Paparazzi” at his school. The video was put on Youtube where he got the ear of some pretty famous people. Ellen DeGeneres had him perform on her show and then snapped him up with a quickness and the rest is, well, history.  Fast forward several months and Greyson is releasing his debut single, “Waiting Outside The Lines”. Just watch and listen, this kid is a musical genius. In the taped performance set to go live on Ellen’s show at 4PM today, Greyson belts out the song with all of his heart. He is a true talent and this is evidenced by his amazing skill with his vocals as well as his piano playing. Watch out Justin Bieber! | Charlie Sheen Hospitalized After Hooker Romp Posted: 26 Oct 2010 08:37 AM PDT Charlie Sheen was taken to a hospital in New York last night after a sexcapade with a hooker went South. Reportedly, the woman snagged his wallet and he went ballistic when he realized it went missing.  Earlier this year, it was said that Charlie was utilizing the services of a hooker that ran him $2500 per night, so this news doesn’t really come as a surprise. What’s funny is how he went nuts, throwing chairs and busting up a chandelier after he found out that she stole his wallet. Cops arrived on scene after the scared woman called security. She hid in the bathroom after he started throwing crap all over the place. Police were close to arresting Charlie over the kerfuffle, but told him that he needed to go to the hospital ASAP. He was convinced that he was fine, but they insisted that it was either the hospital or jail. It was a wise decision, considering that he’s a mere eight days from completing his probation after he pleaded guilty to assault back in August. Since Charlie wasn’t arrested, we’re still unsure as to whether or not the hooker incident constituted a violation of his probation. | Harry Potter Designer Thieve Alexander McQueen Designs? Posted: 26 Oct 2010 08:13 AM PDT Here’s a bit of a “Harry Potter” fashion spoiler for you. Apparently the designer for the movie franchise decided to rip off a design from late fashion designer Alexander McQueen for the design for Fleur Delacour’s dress.  It’s a lovely dress and totally appropriate for her dances with Bill Weasley in the movie, but they snagged it from McQueen’s fall 2008 collection. In the dancing scenes, Fleur wears the frothy organza dress with the two phoenixes.  Designer Jany Temime said, “Fleur’s dress is made in organza and decorated with a pair of phoenixes that face one another on the bodice and form the silhouette of a heart. I chose the phoenix because, like love, it is eternal.”
