 Hills star and Fashionista, Lauren Conrad, will appear in person to sign her new book Sugar and Spice. Sugar and Spice is the 3rd book in Conrad's L.A. Candy Series and features details on betrayal and love that happens behind the scenes of Hollywood life. When: October 8, 2010  Cinefamily is hosting their second Pajama Party! The theater will be screening The Craft and Teen Witch at the witch-themed event. Grab your girlfriends for a night of pjs, movies, makeovers and more. There will even be a Ouija board. | Jessica Simpson Really Likes ‘Farting’ Posted: 07 Oct 2010 10:51 AM PDT Jessica Simpson is now chatting frankly about farting on Twitter, and if you add in the fact that she doesn't brush her teeth, She’s becoming one hygienically undesirable package!  Although Eric Johnson seems to love everything about his girlfriend, perhaps even he will be cringing in dismay with her most recent incident of sharing way too much.
Let’s not forget — Jessica Simpson once made a stinky announcement at a meeting for her denim line. In a room filled with fashion executives, Jessica let one rip and caught everyone off guard. Tina Simpson, Jessica’s mother, was in attendance and scolded her daughter for public flatulence. Then, in an episode of ‘The Newlyweds’, Simpson let out a fart telling her then husband Nick Lachey, “You love my stinky ass.” Can she possibly be any more gross? | Johnny Depp Visits School Dressed As Captain Jack Sparrow Posted: 07 Oct 2010 10:38 AM PDT One nine-year-old girl, Beatrice Delap, and her school are overjoyed today after receiving an unexpected visit from Johnny Depp. He arrived at Meridian Primary School after receiving a letter from Beatrice asking for help with a mutiny against the teachers.  Johnny is currently filming “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” in Southeast London at an old naval college. He swept into the school and asked Beatrice to identify herself and gave her a hug. The letter read:
The letter:  After the visit, Beatrice said, “‘He gave me a hug and he said, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t mutiny today ‘cos there are police outside monitoring me.’” How cute of him to go and visit her school like that. He’s such a good guy. That makes me want to plunk down a few bucks just to see his movies. | Britney Goes Braless While Shopping in Nightie - Photos Posted: 07 Oct 2010 10:21 AM PDT Britney Spears walked in to the store in Santa Monica earlier today wearing jeans and a sweater and emerged in some lacy lingerie.  Britney decided to go braless for the 800th time today, proving that she may not know exactly what the purpose of a bra is. But that’s just fine, we still love her. Unfortunately, what we don’t love is that dead animal on top of her head. Check out the last thumb at the bottom of the post to see what we mean. Seriously, doesn’t Britney have a friend who will tell her when her weave is busted? The good news for Brit and us, is that she’s been hard at work on her upcoming album. Since her recent success on “Glee”, there has been renewed excitement over her recording plans. I can’t wait to hear what she comes out with next. What do you think of Britney’s nightie look? | ‘Dora the Explorer’ Sues Nickelodeon Posted: 07 Oct 2010 10:08 AM PDT Did Dora the Explorer get screwed out of millions? The actress who became the voice of the adventurous cartoon character in 2007, filed a lawsuit on Wednesday claiming Nickelodeon exploited her with a dubious contract that made millions for the network, but little for her.  Lawyers for 14-year-old Caitlin Sanchez told the New York Daily News that the actress and her parents were pressured into signing a “convoluted and inscrutable contract” that cheated her out of “millions, perhaps tens of millions.” The suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday, names Nickelodeon, MTV Networks and Viacom International as defendants. Sanchez and her parents believe the young star was not compensated properly for hundreds of hours of studio time, in addition to personal appearances and profits from the show’s merchandising empire. “Defendants used Caitlin, unjustly enriching themselves of millions of dollars in profits from the series and branded products, which Caitlin preformed and promoted,” the suit claims. Sanchez became Dora, a Latina character, in 2007, and her contract promised $5,115 per episode and a cut from residuals and merchandising. The Sanchez’s claim that their own agent, Jason Bercy, gave them only 22 minutes to review the contract and threatened that if they didn’t sign immediately, Nick would “pass on Caitlin for the part of Dora.” My guess, little Miss Dora became a money making machine — and there’s some regrets. I think Dora should shed her goody, goody image and show the world she “can’t be tamed,” either. |
| Sam Raimi to Direct Wizard of Oz prequel Posted: 07 Oct 2010 07:58 AM PDT Sam Raimi, the Oz: the Great and Powerful, tells the story of the Wizard back before he came to rule in the Emerald City.  There has been talk for months on who exactly will helm the Oz prequel, with names like Tim Burton, and Terry Gilliam being considered. But Raimi has penned the deal and the production will move ahead with him in the director’s chair. 3D is the new cool thing to do these days and Oz will be no exception. (I hate 3D films)
Robert Downey Jr is in talks to star as the man behind the curtain, but no official word yet. As of today, no other casting choices have been announced. I do however know of two people who are 90% guaranteed to have roles in the film; Sam’s baby brother Ted Raimi and his best buddy Bruce Campbell.  The film is set to be released in 2013.
