| The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Episode 11 ‘Our Town’ Live Recap 1/12/12 Posted: 12 Jan 2012 02:33 PM PST Our favorite television show The Vampire Diaries returns to the CW tonight with an all new episode. Tonight's show is called 'Our Town' and Caroline Forbes returns and is turning 18! Caroline is in no mood to celebrate her birthday she is still getting over breaking up with Tyler. On last week’s show we finally saw a first kiss between Elena and Damon. If you missed the last episode you can read the recap here! Official synopsis of ‘Our Town’: BIRTHDAYS AND GOOD-BYES – Although Caroline is in no mood to celebrate her 18th birthday, Elena, Bonnie and Matt surprise her with a small party in an unusual location. Damon and Stefan disagree on the best way to handle Klaus, and a reckless Stefan decides to test his theory by taking things to dangerous extremes. Bonnie is concerned when Elena tells her about Jeremy’s new plans. At a Founder’s meeting, Alaric once again runs into Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), who is in the middle of an argument with her ex-boyfriend, the medical examiner (guest star David Colin Smith). Tyler refuses to go along with Klaus’ latest demand, and is surprised when Klaus seems to accept his decision. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Rebecca Sonnenshine. | Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Visit The White House (Photos) Posted: 12 Jan 2012 12:58 PM PST Mr. and Mrs. Smith go to Washington! The Hollywood couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, stopped by the White House on Wednesday to catch up with President Obama. Oh yeah because that's totally normal… Brangelina (haven't heard that in a while) was in town to screen Angelina's movie, ‘In The Land of Blood and Honey,’ at the National Holocaust Museum. Apparently, the couple talked with the president about Jolie's work on combating sexual violence against women… um they couldn't talk about something less depressing? On her views of the president Angelina said, “I think there are many, many things I think have gone in a wonderful direction and there are a few things I am disappointed in but I don’t feel like tonight is the night to clarify.” "But there are many wonderful things that have moved forward, and of course, some other things that are very frustrating,” she added.

| Sinead O’Conner Suicide Attempt Posted: 12 Jan 2012 11:28 AM PST Singer and general crazy lady, Sinead O'Conner has just admitted that she attempted to commit suicide. The 45-year-old told U.K. newspaper The Sun “I took an overdose. God obviously wants me around – though I can’t think why.” Apparently, the overdose took place last Thursday, January 5 in Los Angeles. O'Conner took to Twitter yesterday as a cry for help saying: According to Sinead, she is now taking medication to treat her depression. The reason for the attempt is likely due to her recent marriage, divorce and reunion to Barry Herridge. As we reported earlier, Sinead got married in Las Vegas and then filed for divorce about two weeks later. Hopefully Sinead gets the help she needs and makes a full recovery. |

| 2012 People’s Choice Awards – Complete Winners List (Video) Posted: 12 Jan 2012 10:03 AM PST The 2012 People’s Choice Awards aired on last night, which honors the best of the entertainment industry voted on by more than 230 million people! The big winner last night was no-show Katy Perry who won 5 awards, including Favorite Female Artist. The show, which aired live from Los Angeles, was hosted by “The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco. Emma Stone and Johnny Depp were also honored with the Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Movie Actor awards. "I moved to L.A. eight years ago this week with my mom, who's right there," Stone said while receiving her award. "It is so insane to be standing up here right now. It is hard to describe to you." Other winners included Lady Gaga‘s “Born This Way” for Favorite Album of the Year, “How I Met Your Mother” for Favorite Network TV Comedy and “Bridesmaids” for Favorite Comedy Movie. There was a small upset on Twitter though over the winners of Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, which was “Supernatural” whose cast was not even invited to the show! Robert Pattinson stepped out without his trademark accessory at Wednesday’s People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Live Theatre in Los Angeles. His hair! No word on why he shaved it, tired of washing it maybe. Robert was all smiles while accepting the Favorite Drama Movie award for Water for Elephants. Pattinson was competing against heavy hitters Daniel Radcliffe, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp, and Ryan ReynoldS. [see the complete winners list] Accepting the award he said, "Woah. Thank you very much. | Brittany Murphy’s Father Files Lawsuit Against LA County Coroner’s Office Posted: 12 Jan 2012 08:56 AM PST Brittany Murphy‘s mother and father are determined to prove that the actress didn’t die of natural causes. Angelo Bertolotti is now suing the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office because he disagrees with the official cause of death. According to RadarOnline, Brittany’s dad is trying to gain access to his late daughter’s hair samples, so he can conduct his own testing. Bertolotti claims "testing/toxicology was incomplete and the death of Brittany Anne Murphy Monjak was never fully investigated." Bertolotti, who is also suing the Los Angeles Police Department. "I'm not going to rest until my daughter's untimely demise is properly investigated, which hasn't happened so far. Her case deserves more than a superficial glance." Bertolotti said in a press release. Can’t say I blame him. |

| Samantha Ronson Releases Debut Album, ‘Chasing the Reds’ (Video) Posted: 12 Jan 2012 07:46 AM PST Samantha Ronson has released her debut album, Chasing the Reds, on her own label, Broken Toys Records. Nearly a decade in the making, Chasing the Reds is an account of heartbreak, compiled journal entries, compelling headlines, and every interaction in between. The album, produced by Samantha and Jimmy Messer (Kelly Clarkson, Kanye West, Neon Trees), is a true testament to Ronson's songwriting ability. Samantha fondly recalls visits to the studio with stepfather Mick (Foreigner founder and guitarist), where she would find herself endlessly absorbed with the realm of possibilities the room contained. It was only a matter of time before a lifetime of being surrounded by music propelled her curiosity to try her hand at songwriting. The catalyst was a guitar her stepfather left in her care for safekeeping: "Once I picked it up, that was it. That was pretty much all I did. I started writing my own songs." The “Your Love Is My Drug” singer, who usually has long wavy blonde hair, has shaved half her head and is sporting a mohawk. Hot! Posting the photo on Twitter, Ke$ha said, “”Animals! I just shaved the side of my head! wanna see a pic???”  When one of her followers quizzed her about the new hair do, she tweeted, “New year. New album. New hair. Get pumped.” Not everybody was a fan of the new do. Singer Dev made her feelings known saying, “Homegirl is all late lol. That was cool a year ago friend.” Ke$ha’s fans weren’t very happy. One fan attacked the self-professed ‘hot’ singer saying, “@DEVisHot what are you? K$ hair is worth more than your career tbh.” Twitter fights are the best, no? |
