Ashton Kutcher Quits Twitter Over Penn State Scandal

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 11:35 AM PST

The twitterverse is all abuzz today over a tweet sent out last night by Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher.

The actor tweeted his support of Joe Paterno, the Penn State football coach who was fired last night over his involvement in covering up the rape of a ten year old boy.

In 2002, a graduate student came to Paterno saying that he witnessed assistant coach Jerry Sandusky molesting the child in the showers.

Kutcher’s tweet in support of JoePa set off fireworks all over the net, and many angry fans fired back at Kutch saying things like “F**k you. He covered up child rape you sick, geriatric f**k.”

Once he had realized his blunder, Kutcher immediately took down the tweet, and posted a retraction and apology stating that he had not known about the scandal that had rocked Penn State. “Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet! Didn’t have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes.”

What makes things look even worse for Ashton is his involvement in trying to abolish child abuse. “As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case.”

Overnight, the embarrassed star decided that he no longer had the ability to speak to his over 8 million twitter followers, and announced via his posterous account that he was leaving his twitter (@aplusk) to his management team over at Katalyst Media.

So what do you guys think… terrible blunder, or innocent mistake on Kutcher’s part?

Robert Pattinson Talks ‘Thrusting’ On Jimmy Kimmel (Video)

Posted: 10 Nov 2011 09:29 AM PST

Last night it was East Coast, David Letterman and Robert Pattinson. Now it’s West Coast, Jimmy Kimmel and Pattinson.

Robert expressed his disappointment that the Breaking Dawn sex scene was toned down and turned into a PG-13 flick.

“It was going to be way more explicit at one point . . . but, yeah, it came down to a whole bunch of different factors. It was Rated R for ages. They had to fight to cut it down . . . It wasn't me, it was Kristen who was causing it to be R-rated.”

It was more than that, it was the thrusting.

“I mean, I'm kind of doing the same thing, the general movement . . . It's funny, they kind of . . . they normally have problems with ratings about nudity and you can see like half a nipple in PG-13 . . . there's all these very specific details, but this was literally about the movement. It was kind of about thrusting . . . They kept telling you not to move. So it's almost like they wanted to have a leash on the back of you so you couldn't thrust . . .” he explained.

I can only imagine how hard it must be. [LOL!]

It’s kind of an odd area to evaluate, don’t you think? How do you determine what measurements of thrusting are acceptable, and when it crosses that line?

Taylor Swift Wins Entertainer of the Year (Video)

Taylor Swift was named Entertainer of the Year for the second time Wednesday night at the 45th annual CMA Awards, which aired live from Nashville on ABC.

Swift now joins Barbara Mandrell as the only other female artist in CMA history ever to be named Entertainer of the Year twice. “I’m so happy right now!,” gushed Taylor from the podium. “This is thanks to all the fans who filled up those stadiums and arenas all over the world this year.”

While Taylor snagged the evening’s most prestigious award, the night’s big winner was The Band Perry, who scooped up three trophies, including New Artist of the Year, and both Song and Single of the Year for their smash hit “If I Die Young.” Accepting the Song of the Year trophy was Kimberly Perry, who wrote “If I Die Young.”

“I truly believe that [the song] would’ve been written with or without me. It just always felt like a song that was meant to be here,” Perry said.

The CMA Awards ceremony was a homecoming of sorts for Faith Hill.

After a five-year absence from the CMA stage, the 44-year-old singer debuted her new single, "Come Home." She was welcomed back with a standing ovation.
