Katy Perry Wears Virginal Indian Bridal Nose Ring - Photos Posted: 20 Oct 2010 01:57 PM PDT Katy Perry was spotted arriving in Jaipur with her husband-to-be, Russell Brand, wearing an Indian bridal nose ring. Weirdly enough, these nose rings are a symbol of virginity in their culture. Considering that she recently put him on a sex ban until their wedding night, we’re pretty sure that Katy is nowhere near being a virgin. Still, upon her arrival at the Jaipur airport, she put her coat over her head so the photographers wouldn’t see her new adornment. That plan failed miserably as she was forced to remove her coat as they made their way through customs. The Daily Mail reports: Tradition dictates the bride’s will wear the nath throughout the wedding day, with the bridegroom removing it on the wedding night as a symbol of the woman’s virginity ending. Too funny. If they found out she’s not a virgin, do you think they would stone her? I’m not saying we condone violence, it’s just my morbid curiosity. Akon Cancels Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera Committments For Lady Gaga Posted: 20 Oct 2010 11:26 AM PDT Akon has spoken out about canceling his previous commitments to singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, in favor of Lady Gaga. In a new interview with “Vibe” magazine, he said, “I was set to do Britney and Christina…I had them both on the calendar, but I ended up canceling all of that because I didn't want outside things to interfere with what Gaga has going on.” He went on to reveal that he and Gaga are unsure about when to release her new album, “Born This Way”. He added, “We haven’t decided exactly if we are going to release new Gaga music at the end of the year or early next year because right now she is so saturated. She will decide when she wants to come back out. She has another tour in mid-April of next year, so if anything, we would probably line up new music according to that tour so we can get more album sales.” They gotta strike while the iron’s hot! Kanye West Gets Diamond Teeth - Photo & Video Posted: 20 Oct 2010 09:43 AM PDT Perhaps Kanye West watched the Nelly and Paul Wall video for “Grillz” one too many times, because the rapper has decided to get his teeth replaced with diamonds. Kanye appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show to talk about his mouth made of money. He said, “‘I just thought that diamonds were cooler.” He went on to reveal that it’s not a grill, actually, and that he had his dentist remove his entire bottom row of teeth and replaced them all. Ellen asked, “It’s not a grill?”, to which he responded, “It’s really my real teeth. Angelina Jolie High On Coke For Charlie Rose Interview - Video Posted: 20 Oct 2010 09:27 AM PDT Angelina Jolie appeared on “Charlie Rose” for an interview to promote her movie, “Girl, Interrupted.” Her former drug dealer has come forward to say that, surprise! She was high on cocaine during the whole thing. In the video, she does appear to be a little bit anxious and strange. In the beginning, it’s evident that she’s on something. But, mind you, this interview was back from 2000 and she has already admitted to her past drug use, so why is this guy coming forward now? Check out the interview, below: Her dealer, Franklin Meyer, said, “She’d taken coke. She did the show and then she came back over after.” He went on to reveal that he met the actress is 1997 at the Chelsea Hotel. He said that she’d come over two to three times a week and buy drugs. He added, “She would generally spend about $100 each time. That would buy maybe half a gram of coke and a 10th of a gram of heroin.” Are any of you surprised that he’s revealing this information now? Michael Lohan Makes a Statement, That He’s Done Making Statements Posted: 20 Oct 2010 09:08 AM PDT It appears there are a few things Michael Lohan needed to get off his chest. As news about his daughter Lindsay Lohan’s return to rehab spread at the end of September, Michael Lohan was open about his intent to find two conservators for his daughter to keep watch over her finances and her social life, saying, “I just want Lindsay’s life and career to be guided by people who are in it with their hearts, not their hands." However, a few weeks later, Michael now says that he'll be keeping mum on anything to do with his daughter or his ex-wife, Dina. In a statement to CNN, Lohan explained the following: “After serious thought and conversation last night, with someone who means alot [sic]to me. I am making this statement and fully intend on living by it. With all due respect to those who have both gotten on my nerves for reporting things that weren’t true, ( as well as things that were), I want to make a public statement that I will not be commenting on ANYTHING relating to my daughter Lindsay, or ANYTHING my ex wife Dina, or any ’sources’ related to her, might say.” “After all the things said and the incidents which have transpired, I realize that no matter how wrong or right I may have been, at the end of the day, I was wrong for offending my ex wife and my children. Because of the spotlight and scrutiny we have been under, as well as my own “pride,” which has caused pain to my mother, (deceased father), brother, sisters and their sibling[s], I realize how my statements and actions have had a ripple effect on all of them. She loves kids, but she wasn’t ready to be a mother just yet. She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again.” Even though it was a surprise, the spy revealed that Bey has realized that “this is a gift from God and she’s so happy.” Do you think it’s true? Breaking Dawn First On-set Photos Posted: 20 Oct 2010 06:25 AM PDT With filming set to start less than two weeks from today on November 1st, the cast of Breaking Dawn have all gathered in Baton Rouge. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner as well as the rest of the cast have all landed in Louisiana! Some on-set photos taken yesterday, have been leaked. [Click on thumbnails to get a larger view] Robert, Kristen and Taylor are seen walking around on set and playing with a cute dog. The cast will be in Baton Rouge for 6 weeks to film most of the interior shots, take a break, then head up to Vancouver B.C. to finish up the exterior filming starting in January.
