Jill Scott Angered Over Grammy Snub Posted: 02 Dec 2011 02:37 PM PST Jill Scott is not impressed with the nomination list of the upcoming 54th annual Grammy Awards. She’s not on it. Scott expressed her anger via Twitter saying, “0 nominations. I’m speechless. Cover of Billboard, #1 CD in the country, tied/broke the record for Urban radio. Ok… so… ok. Wow.” After an obvious overwhelming response from fans she continued, “Ok good folks. Grammy’s do not define me. Have u ever deserved something and not gotten it? It sucks and is insulting. That’s it. No mas.” When one of her fans mentioned the Miguel snub, she replied, “No Miguel?!?!? Huh!!!? Again appalled.” To another who pointed out the Beyonce exclusion, she answered, “excuse me?!?!? No ‘Love on Top’? This can’t be right.” What do you think? |
Nicki Minaj Becomes A Barbie Doll (Photo) Posted: 02 Dec 2011 01:20 PM PST Nicki Minaj is about to get all doll’d up in a one-of-a-kind way… in plastic! Minaj, whose Twitter (@nickiminaj) has close to 7.5 million followers, is dead serious. After all, it’s the same devoted followers who she proudly nicknamed “Barbies” that have propelled the provocative star to glorious heights. It’s only fitting. The one-of-a-kind doll will be unveiled at the Divine Design Gala in Los Angeles next week and auctioned on charitybuzz starting Wednesday, December 7, 2011, where proceeds will benefit Project Angel Food. Rumor has it… a Katy Perry doll will follow. |
Brad Pitt Saves Lives (Listen Here) Posted: 02 Dec 2011 08:06 AM PST Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill were answering questions following a special screening of ‘Moneyball‘, when a fan declared he was suicidal. The struggling actor told Pitt and Hill that he was battling suicidal thoughts alone in his car earlier that evening, but the film had given him "a renewed sense of hope." In the movie, Pitt portrays real-life Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who built a playoff team using computer-generated analysis to acquire its players. Pitt reportedly got "choked up" as the man opened up to the gathered crowd. But, Pitt didn't flinch: "Look, man, life is up and down, it's a vicious cycle, but you have to go through it and deal with that.'" Listen below: [skip to 1:30 mark, poor quality] As he left the theater he even stopped to talk with the distraught fan to offer him some more words of encouragement. If you, or someone you love needs help: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline online, or call 800.273.TALK. |
